Last week I was playing around with crepe paper and managed to make some of my own flowers. I liked them enough that I went out a bought a couple more colors of crepe paper and swooned over the pink. So here is a pink card from me (surprise!). I used one of the new Flourishes sets called Lace Edges that features this exquisite lace! For the sentiment I used Flourishes I Love Roses set. I layered Spellbinders™ Labels Five on the top of the card, Spellbinders™ Grand 12″ Lace Border in the middle and Spellbinders™ Labels Four on the bottom. I finished by attaching two leaves from the Spellbinders™ Sunflower Set Two Set.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Flourishes Lace Edges, Flourishes I Love Roses
Paper: K&Co.Lovely, The Paper Company – Blonde Columns, Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Pastel Pink
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Labels Five, Spellbinders™ Labels Four, Spellbinders™ Sunflower Set Two, Spellbinders™ Grand 12″ Lace Border, Pearls, Ribbon
Here is the video tutorial in case you’d like to make your own flowers:

Hi Becca –
Wonderful tutorial! We must be on the same wavelength. I was out at the store on Saturday and picked up a roll of pink crepe paper. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but it just looked so pretty. Subconsciously I must and been channeling you – LOL!
Your crepe paper flower is so cute. I have some black and gold crepe paper yet in the cupboard from our girls’ high school graduation. I’m going to have to give this a try. Oh wouldn’t black crepe paper flowers be great on an “over the hill” type card? Like you said, the possibilities are endless! Thanks for sharing this fun little flower.ReplyCancel

I love how you used a song as a background for this new verse. Thanks for the great idea.ReplyCancel
I love how rich this piece of yours looks. I love the back ground paper. It looks like all 4 corners go to the middle…where the verse is located. The antique colored sheet-music adds a touch to this that I feel when I walk in to a very old church. The pews can almost feel all of the generations who have used them.
Your bow is beautiful and seems to wrap itself all the way around this special gift…These words inspired by Him.

I had a little bit of time to pull a card together for the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge this week. Guess who the sponsor is? Yep, JustRite Stampers. It’s an excellent sketch and the challenge runs until Saturday, January 30th. I hope you’ll join in and submit a card. Psst. . . . I heard the winner will be the envy of all because word is they’ll win the whole Botanicals stamps set with wood blocks. Just sayin’! Be sure to stop by the 2 Sketches 4 You site for all the rules. I decided to make another valentines card; I love the punch of red and white. From JustRite Stamps I pulled two newly released sets, JB09060 Decorative 2" Square Borders and JB-09720 Romantic Sentiments. The sketch called for a squarish panel so I decided to use the AllDeco Punch again. (Yikes, I got lots of emails about this last time and I have looked for the ordering information and am coming up empty handed. Several have found references to AllDeco just by googling.) On top of my punched out rounded square I used Spellbinders™ Classic Squares LG #4 and Spellbinders™ Classic Squares SM #4. For the sentiment I used two EK Success punches, 1.5" and 1.25". On the bottom of the card I used Spellbinders™ Jumbo Scalloped Borderabilities Petite.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: JustRite – JB09060 Decorative 2" Square Borders, JB-09720 Romantic Sentiments
Paper: The Paper Company
Ink: Colorbox Pigment – Cranberry
Accessories: Spellbinders Jumbo Scalloped Borderabilities Petite, Spellbinders Classic Squares LG #4, Spellbinders Classic Squares SM #4, EK Success Papershapers 1 1/2" Punch, EK Success Papershapers 1 1/4" Punch, Clear Embossing Powder, AllDeco Elegant Spring Punch, Pearls, Buttons, Ribbon, Lace, Martha Stewart Heart and Heart Border Punch
On the inside I used a Martha Stewart Heart Punch and Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch. The heart sits on top of a Spellbinders™ Classic Circles LG and Spellbinders™ Classic Circles SM.
Fun sketch, I hope you’ll try too. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
So pretty, Becca! That red and white and your layers are so pretty!ReplyCancel

Beautiful card Becca, so soft and feminine. Thanks for the Becca Bits tutorial on the crepe paper flower, I haven’t played with crepe paper in years. TFS!!! : )

Hi Becca –
Wonderful tutorial! We must be on the same wavelength. I was out at the store on Saturday and picked up a roll of pink crepe paper. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but it just looked so pretty. Subconsciously I must and been channeling you – LOL!

Such a cute idea. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing this fun little flower.
What a beautiful card! I love the flower, thanks for the video instructions.
Another wonderful tutorial. I love how delicate your crepe paper flowers look.
What a beautiful card! Thank you for the tutorial on flowers I want to do this with my daughter.

Hi Becca,
*LOVE* this tutorial! I’ve done this technique with ribbon but not with crepe paper – what a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing it with us.
This is a stunning card, I just love pinks. And thanks for the video, I am a visual person and this was excellent. You should do more :) :)
Thanks for including the tutorial! I can’t wait to try this!
Wow! Thank you for sharing the crepe paper flower tutorial with me/us. Tomorrow, I am going to ask my mom how to stitch a long stitch by hand. If I keep finding awesome tutorials like this one, I am going to have to get a sewing machine!
Thanks so much!
