Hello there!  Thanks for your sweet comments, I’m certainly on the mend and have a card to share.   This one comes from a new set at
Our Daily Bread Designs.  The background was made using two sentiments from both Happy Easter and Easter Blessings and the scripture is also from the Easter Blessings set.

I admit it, this card is kind of different.  For those who keep track – look Ma, no ribbon!!  I pulled out a couple of die cuts that have been in my stash forever.  The center part of my border was made from Cuttlebug Ornamental Iron die and the upper parts were made with a Quckutz bracket die.  I love the frilliness!!  To finish up I embellished with pearls.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Happy Easter and Easter Blessings
Paper:  The Paper Company, K & Co., Pergamano
Ink:  Pumice Stone Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Scallop Oval Large,  Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Quickutz Brackets, Cuttlebug Ornamental Iron, Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

How elegant! You have such a knack for putting together the right colours and embellies. I love the vellum layer to soften the background. It really make the front embellies show up so nicely.

Well hello there!!  Yesterday was Day 1 of the JustRite Mega March Blog Hop and today, Day 2 is has some real beauties to behold.  Just in case you haven’t looked in today, here is the list of hoppers for Day 2 and these are direct links to their projects.

JustRite Inspiration Blog, Sharon Harnist, Sankari Wegman Marianne Walker, Michelle Wooderson,Linda Duke, Barb Schram, Eva Dobilas, Liz Weber, Jeanne Streiff, Lori Craig, Sharon Johnson, Michelle Woerner, Sherry Cheever, Keri Lee Sereika, Lauren Meader, Michele Boyer, Lucy Abrams, Janine Blackwelder, Edna Morrisedie, Deb Saaranen, Melody Rupple, Charmaine Ikach, Michelle Giraud, Amy Crockett, Lydia Fiedler, Kelly Landers, Amber Hight, Margie Higuchi, Mary Pfaff, Debbie Seyer

In the meantime, I’ve had a little downtime with a migraine today.  No worries, I’m alright now – guess it’s just the old body saying to take a break.   I’ve had enough sleep to last me a week so I guess I’m off to play.  Take care my friends :-)

ETA:  I have received quite a few emails asking where to get the lace used in THIS project.  I  purchased the lace at Walmart but am no longer able to find it as it was found in one of the small Walmarts with a craft section rather than one of the large Super Centers.  Our last small Walmart was closed and a new Super Center was opened.  Thanks to one of my dear readers, Tammy, she located the lace and was able to confirm for me that indeed it can be found at Walmart.  Thanks Tammy!!

I’m indeed praying your day is filled with joy . . . I know that mine is.   It’s an added bonus that spring is on the way!!  I wanted to share a quick card with you that uses one of the March releases from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The set I used is called Easter Blessings and has this gorgeous Lilly of the Valley that I colored with Copic Markers.  On top of my cut design paper I added Spellbinders™ Jumbo Borderabilities® Petite and topped that with a Martha Stewart Border Punch.  Then for the focal image, after I colored with Copic Markers and distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink, I cut it from Spellbinders™ Labels Eleven, raised it on Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG and embellished it with one of the companion pieces from Spellbinders™ Lattice Pendants.

My friends won’t believe this, but this was a quickie made from scraps.  No, you don’t understand . . . I could easily spend more than an hour just picking the paper.  My DD is spending time with me this evening so this was a "git ‘er done" kind of card.   Here are the copics I used:

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Easter Blessings
Paper:  The Paper Company, Bazzill, K & Co.
Ink:  Blue Dye Based Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders™ Jumbo Borderabilities® Petite, Spellbinders™ Labels Eleven, Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG,  Spellbinders™ Lattice Pendants, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Pearls, Ribbon

I have a million things that I’m dabbling in and heaven help me I went into the quilt store today – you’ll see.  For the past couple of nights I’ve also hit up some of my "go to" sites that had fonts, brushes and digital paper on sale (another addiction that I’ll explain later).     ScrapnFonts.com had an excellent St. Patty’s Day Sale everything being $1.00 (that doesn’t happen often) and their sister site LetteringDelights.com had a similar sale – the neat thing that I didn’t know about the latter site is they now tell you everything you own so that you don’t buy it again.  Gosh, I think they had me in mind because I have quite a collection from them and have purchased a couple of things twice.  The other thing is I’m obsessed with flowers and have picked up quite a few supplies to make my own — you’ll see, you’ll see!  But I digress, more on these things later!!

Oops I almost forgot to share . .  we have a  winner for the JustRite Blog Candy!!

The number pulled by random.org was:

594  which corresponds to:  Kathy Roney’s comment below:

Kathy Roney on 16 Mar 2010 at 11:37 pm 594

Hi Becca ~ God has definitely blessed you with an incredible talent and it’s wonderful that you share it with all of us! I also love that you’re a child of God, as I am, and are willing to share that you are and God’s Word with others!

My dream set for JustRite Stamps is actually something I emailed to them back in January…I would like to see a set that is more generic for gift-giving with wording such as “For You” and/or other similar wording (”Especially For You”, “Just For You”). I use these for the packaging I do when I make and sell handmade gifts. I would also like to see it designed for more than just women and girls. I need these for children (different ages) – especially for boys – and for men. I haven’t seen a lot of attractive masculine stamps at the different stamp companies. I like a lot of different styles and this could be done a lot of different ways, but I can definitely see it in a classy, old-fashion style, for example, antique toys for children. I hope this information helps! ~ Kathy

Kathy please  reach out to me through my contact page to accept and give me your address and we’ll get your goodies on the way!

Whew, that was a long post!  Cheerio – see you tomorrow!
