Card Making Ideas by Amazingpapergrace.com using JustRite Filigree Corners with Mix and Match Sentiments, Spellbinders Grand Large Labels, Spellbinders Grand Squares, Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two (side view)
Dear friends, I hope your week is going well!!  Someone asked me about anniversary and wedding card making ideas so I wanted to pop in with this card that I made recently.  It’s one of the batch that went to the UK but since it’s so easy and makes a unique wedding/anniversary card I thought I’d show it here.   By the way, a picture would be lovely in the frame with the sentiment stamped below – just sayin!  Oh, and hello wedding invitation, right?

Card Making Ideas by Amazingpapergrace.com using JustRite Filigree Corners with Mix and Match Sentiments, Spellbinders Grand Large Labels, Spellbinders Grand Squares, Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two (straight view)

The basic card includes Spellbinders Grand Large Labels made into a card base.  I have two tutorials that show you my method to do this Spellbinders Hinged Card Bases.  They come in handy with this card because you get a clean window on the front when the front and back are cut separately, then the window cut (using Spellbinders Grand Squares), then front and back joined.  I also used JustRite Filigree Corners with Mix and Match Sentiments, Spellbinders Floral Ovals (hollowed out by Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG) and Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two.    It is simply a window card and the floral oval with sentiment inside is glued to the inside of the card (see below) :-)

Here’s your Step By Step recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up:  Start out with a Card Base cut using Grand Labels as described above – 5-3/8″ x 6-7/8″ , die cut layer using four of the small corners from Filigree Corners adhered to front of card, foam tape, die cut layer with Scalloped Borders Two on lower end of card.  Floral ovals glued to inside of card.  Add bow and bling.

Good morning Becca from misty Ochil Hills of Central Scotland,
Oh i do like your wedding card and the verse on the front is lovely and unusual. I don’t think i have ever seen a verse for someone becoming someone’s wife before. I like how you have cut away the middle to have the filigree oval frame coming out of the front of the card from the back. I have to admit to being a bit fond of a pure white card or pure white with mirri added as it always looks so stylish.
Thank you for giving us an insight into your fantastic creativity,
    Love and crafty hugs

Hi Becca, what an absolutely stunning card. I am in the process of making an Anniversary card for my Mum and Dad. Up until now, I think that I have made 5 cards which I am NOT happy with. So I think I will try out your card, but with the photograph in the centre. I will have to buy the Filigree Corners and the Grand Labels dies. :-( Is there any other way that it could be done without having to buy and use the Grand Labels die? Hugs, Jen xx

Card Making Ideas from Amazing Paper Grace using Justrite Papercrafts – JustRite Lacey Tiers and Large Elegant Sentiments, Spellbinders Captivating Squares and Spellbinders Back to Basic Tags
Greetings blog friends, I’m peeking in with a card and a quick post for my card making idea today.  Changing up a little bit from my run on pink, I knew I wanted to showcase this gorgeous Prima Flower, so I dove in with a bit of purple.  It’s centered on a background made from JustRite Lacey Tiers Die Cut Template which I designed and the filigree corners on the edges are the smallest die from Spellbinders Captivating Squares.  I don’t have precise measurements to share today but the square 6″ x 6″ format makes it a fairly easy card to make.  The Lacey Tiers Template round motif cut alone actually doesn’t cut a circle, it cuts out the center filigree pieces.  The circle is cut when you include the outer square motif.  For this card I cut the round motif into a square and topped it with the outer motif.  This gave me a great layer to raise for a lot of depth from all the cutouts in the motif.

A multi-loop bow with a centered button and a tag from Spellbinders Back to Basic Tags makes way for a sentiment that doesn’t cover the beauty of the awesome flower and intricate die.   I reached for JustRite Large Elegant Sentiments; Get Well is a sentiment I don’t use nearly as much as I should.

I’m already enjoying the glorious turn from summer to the next season.  I won’t say fall yet, but I love this shoulder before the chill starts to blanket  the evening.  I keep finding myself outside just mesmerized by the difference in the light and the fresh air.  It rained almost every day this summer so this is a wonderful reprieve.  Even though I’ve not been here this week, I’ve been a busy girl.  In fact, I have some rather cool news to share on my post tomorrow so I hope you’ll peek in to see what I’m up to :-)

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Fine Feathers; Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Spellbinders Opulent Ovals, Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two, Spellbinders Captivating Squares; www.amazingpapergrace.com
Sweet blog friends, so sorry for my absence.  Like most, I go through brief bouts of being overwhelmed and pushing to create and that’s when I know it’s time to take a couple of days off to rejuvenate.  It feels empty to make something just for the sake of making it – I love to enjoy the process and I really do craft from the heart.  This is from my heart.  I sat down yesterday with the Fine Feathers stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps that I added to my collection after last months release – truth be known, I had to have it.  Claire made sure it found it’s way into my hands – thank you Claire!!!  It’s been a week of introspection and this is a beautiful reminder, one I sorely needed.  It was my treat to sit down and create with such a beautiful thought.

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Fine Feathers; Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two, Spellbinders Opulent Ovals, Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two, Spellbinders Captivating Squares; www.amazingpapergrace.com (closeup)

I pulled a couple of dies together to layer and the card base is made as I’ve shown with the Filigree Hinged Card Tutorial using Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two.  It was made that way so that the two borders used could be arranged on a flat front sheet and then joined to the back – I find it easiest that way.  I followed with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals, Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two and Spellbinders Captivating Squares.   The cut out from the borders made such an intriguing window that I lined the inside with pink.

Here’s your Step-By-Step Recap, from the bottom up, just in case you’d like to make one too.  Start out with a card base cut to 5-3/4″ wide x 6″ tall.  Cut with Scalloped Borders Two before assembling, foam tape, die cut layer from white using Opulent Ovals, foam tape, die cut layer from white using Labels Thirty Two, foam tape, die cut layer from white using Captivating Squares.

I’m working on a tutorial friends.  I think this week the jet lag got the best of me among many other things.  I’ll be back in the saddle soon as I have lots of goodies to play with :-)

Your work is absolutely gorgeous–every one deserves to be in a frame, on the wall!!!

I have purchased two of the elaborate, lacy, Spellbinders dies recently and haven’t been able to use them–what is the secret to getting all the little throw away pieces out without ripping the rest of the paper??? someone said to use waxed paper–I assume you put it on top of the die, then your c.s.. I have a Big Shot and have had to add a piece of c.s. to get them to work at all. the latest one I have tried is the Majestic Elements.

    thanks much, Jo AnneReplyCancel

Another beautiful card dear Becca, you have such a knack for putting all the dies together to create such a work of art. I kinda had a feeling you were a little under the weather, so to speak, hope you are up and running on full octane now and bestowing us with your beautiful work.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
You’ve created another absolutely beautiful card – well worth waiting for. I do exactly what you do when my mojo leaves me. A couple of days in the garden refresh me every time, even heavy work.
I cannot wait for two of your dies to arrive – Lacey Tiers and Filigree Corners. They are gorgeous and I’m sure I won’t have any problems creating beautiful cards with them.
Thank you for all the inspiration you give us .
    Best wishes, RoseReplyCancel

Oh Becca…this Scripture has MUCH meaning to me!!! Jesus gave it to me before I was diagnosed with cancer and continued to speak to me through Psalm 91 during some difficult days… and now, going through some other difficult circumstances, I need it more than ever!

Thank you for this wonderful post and beautiful card ?ReplyCancel

Love the borders. There’s a celebrity in the UK who lost her daughter to cancer a few years back – and she says finding a white feather is calling card from her angel, or words to that effect I think – what a lovely thought. This card reminded me of that.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, I think you read my mind there, I tend to craft from the hear too
and feels kind of empty and overwhelmed when I cant find what I need to make certain projects and clearly sure that I had them hidden amongst my mountain of crafting stash! LOL

The whole card stunning, love the sentiment too!
Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!

Becca, I hear you talking! I’m in that place right now. Sometimes it’s good to be reminded that it’s OK to take a breather. It obviously did you a world of good because this card is spectacular. I love the sentiment, and that bow is nothing short of divine. All the lovely layers of pink and white are so inviting….I can tell it came from your heart!ReplyCancel

I totally agree with creating from the heart. I’ve been away from home with my Mother since my wonderful Father passed away on July 29, 2013. This has been the most difficult time of my life so finding my creative spirit is hard. The only thing I’ve been able to do is make roses for future projects. I know my desire to create will return and your card is inspirational. The sentiment really speaks to my heart and is a reminder I needed today. If you aren’t aware of it, I hope my post will let you know how your creativity brings comfort to others. Thank you for this post today BeccaReplyCancel
