Sweet friends, how are you today?  I’ve been musing about how truly rewarding it is to have hands busy and immersed in creating something. Some of you echo the same sentiment in your emails to me…  It was only several years ago that things were so busy that I never had time to craft.  I traveled much and managed to throw a little bit of knitting or crochet in my bag to take along with me but it was all I could do to get through a days work then fall into bed.  I’m grateful, so very grateful.  We all have things we have to do, I hope you find a moment in your day to relax and create!  I do have a card to share today – it uses one of the new Spellbinders die templates that is sure to become one of my favorites.  It’s called Spellbinders S5-083 Antique Frame and it has been floating to the top of the pile on my work bench.  Best for me to use it so that I can set my eyes on some of the others I want to touch!

I cut my thick frame using Spellbinders Classic Squares LG and Classic Squares SM then seated the frame from Spellbinders S5-083 Antique Frame over top.  The frame in this set is so elegant it just begged for a cameo to go inside so I selected
a Waltzingmouse Stamps set called Cameo to Go.  Then I attached a sweet little tag — perfectly sized — using Spellbinders S5-089 Home Sweet Home.  Up in the right hand corner I tucked the super elegant element from Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents.

SUPPLIES I USED
StampsWaltzingmouse StampsCameo to Go
Paper: DCWV, Bazzill
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents, Spellbinders Classic Squares LG, Spellbinders Classic Squares SM, Spellbinders S5-083 Antique Frame, Spellbinders S5-089 Home Sweet Home, seam binding, Bead Landing bead, Recollections pearls.

Thanks for stopping by!  You all are the best!!

How do you keep track of all of the many Spellbinders dies you have?
You use many of them together- I was having trouble remembering what I had, but today, I used sticky-backed magnetic strips on the back side of my cabinet doors and mounted all of the dies I have .. right where I can see all of them at once. Your cards are so inspiring. Thank you,ReplyCancel

Becca this is just so elegant and beautiful! But then again all your cards always are!!! I do have a question for you though… in this particular card, can you tell me what sizes your layers of paper are? I think they are so wonderfully layered just showing a tiny bit of the back layer. I always wanted to know how people cut their layers to get that perfect tiny edge…would you mind sharing with me? Thanks so much!ReplyCancel

. . . oh goodness, I know I’ve been quiet today.  Believe it or not, I was working on another top secret project around here.  Lol, you all are going to have to get a security clearance to come and have a look with all this top secret stuff going on.  Doesn’t that drive you crazy?  You know I love you all!!  Where else can I come and talk about such exciting stuff.   I have a post coming at the end of the week that’ll have you silently nodding and saying ‘uh huh, that makes sense”.   In the meantime, I wanted to toss this little tidbit out there, because you all always let me bask a bit in the warmth of accomplishment! :-)

This is a publication that is now available on the market and I had an ensemble published in there.  It might be harder this time around to figure out which is me . . . but then again, I might just be underestimating your ever so keen, and knowing, eyes!!  Here’s a link to it – Quick and Easy Crafts for Entertaining.

The book actually became available late December, but this is the first time I’ve had a chance to look through.  Some great designers have things here and the projects are all quick and easy (you all have no idea how hard that can be sometimes – ha-ha!!)

I should be back with a project tomorrow but don’t forget the blog candy I currently have going on.  Again, up for grabs, some luscious double sided Prima paper – simply pop over to this post – https://www.amazingpapergrace.com/the-best-of-both-blog-candy/.

My guess is that MENU is your work. I, too, would most certainly purchase a book of your work—in paper crafting you are tops. So inspiring! Each time I check out “Gallery” on your web page, “Coming Soon” is all that pops up. Are you going to do anything with that option? Many many congratulations on being published. I’m sure there will be many many more of your creations published in the future. Get ready girl, IT HAS BEGUN!ReplyCancel

  • DiannJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:57 am

I could be wrong, but I haven’t seen the actual mag. Either way, I’ll bet it’s a fantastic project.ReplyCancel

I too think your entry is the last one. It just seems to have B E C C A written all over it. It lovely. If it is not yours, then some imposter is copying your style and doing a great job at it. Congratulations! I love to see deserving people receive the recognition they deserve.ReplyCancel

Your lovely creations have to be on the last preview page! The items have your elegance and perfect detail touches. Congratulations!!! And I saw another of your Spellbinders creations on the back page of a CARDS magazine. I could tell it was yours before I spied your name is very small print. Your name shouldn’t be in small print….it should be in lights with your creation. : )ReplyCancel

Hi there blog friends!  Hoping your Sunday is a glorious one.  I’ve gone a little bit bold today . . .  for a bold friend.  Someone close to me is having a birthday, one of my girlfriends, who is just a hoot!  So I changed up a little bit to go with some power colors for a birthday card for her.    As it were, working with some of the new Spellbinders, this Damask keeps floating to the top – it was designed by my sweet friend Laura Campbell, and I just love it.  I paired it up with a new sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs called Birthday Blessings.

I took one of the damask die templates (Spellbinders™ S5-081 Damask Motifs), cut it four times and assembled it into a medallion.  On top of that I popped up Spellbinders™ Picot Edged Circles and Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM.  On the edge I used some lace, Spellbinders™ E8-007 Classic Edges, Spellbinders™ Classic Bracket Edgeablities and Spellbinders™ E-010 Classic Decorative Inserts, topping it off with the border from Spellbinders™ S5-080 Damask Accents set.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs, Birthday Blessings.
Paper: The Paper Company, Neenah Classic Crest Cream
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders™ S5-081 Damask Motifs,  Spellbinders™ Picot Edged Circles, Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM,  Spellbinders™ E8-007 Classic Edges, Spellbinders™ Classic Bracket Edgeablities, Spellbinders™ E-010 Classic Decorative Inserts, Spellbinders™ S5-080 Damask Accents, seam binding, clear embossing powder, lace

That’s it for me today, short and sweet!  Don’t forget to weigh in on the blog candy I currently have going on.  Up for grabs, some luscious double sided Prima paper – simply pop over to this post – https://www.amazingpapergrace.com/the-best-of-both-blog-candy/. Smooches, y’all!  I’ll see you soon!!
