Hi there blog friends, I’m having a lovely creative time even had a card to share that I didn’t get to post last week, so I’m posting it now. This has to be one of my favorite Waltzingmouse Stamps sets and it makes up for the sweetest thank you card and I just love the Art Nouveau style. I very rarely make a side folding card but thought I would change things up a bit.
I guess it would be truthful to say that I have a tinge of spring fever and am loving every minute outside. It will be hot soon enough so why not indulge, right? I hope you are having lovely days too and save a couple of minutes to be out in the fresh air.
Really stunning card here Becca. So gorgeous and I love the bow with that added bead on, it looks awesome, but the whole card does. I love it.ReplyCancel

This is a beautiful card. So soft and gentle looking. The multiple layering of dies, like others have said, just doesn’t come to my mind much either. But, I think I am going to have to try doing this more as the results are always gorgeous. Funny, I think the same thing about having the card fold on the left side….I don’t prefer it that way but now and again it works just right. Thanks for sharing it with us as we absolutely love your designs and tutorials. Ordered the bow maker and can’t wait til it comes to begin making those gorgeous bows!ReplyCancel

Couldn’t sleep so was up at 4 a.m. and saw this. Absolutely exquisite! Love the colors and design. I am gradually adding to my Spellbinder collection, week by week. I need to buy some of the real generic ones like Labels 25 that I notice you use a lot. Your creativity sparks my cardmaking and I always take my ipad with me when I go to a crop so everyone can see the beautiful work you do. God Bless!

Hi, Becca: I have a question re the longer jewel cases–how do you store them? Now that the various dies and stamps are organized, how do you organize and store the cases themselves? Are there CD racks that can hold them or boxes or ? Also, do you keep each set together or if you have butterflies (for example) would you put all of them together in one case. Well, that was more than one question. :-) It is just that it is such a daunting task. Thanks. Love all your beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.ReplyCancel
Ann robbinsMarch 28, 2012 - 8:19 am
Oh I forgot to say that I just love the “Supplies I used” ~ so thoughtful and also that your links to “Spellbinder” website to show the numbers of dies used. You make it very easy!

I had to see a close up view of your bow! I haven’t seen that Bead Landing piece at my Michael’s. Very eye-catching! And the card is lovely, as always. I happen to be in South Florida on vacation and am also finding it quite lovely. At this time of year, when I’ve been here in the past, it was already too hot for me! Enjoy it while you can…ReplyCancel

A second comment from me sparked by Pat comment #25. I have looked and looked also for the Recollection embellishments you mention and also the bow ornaments. Michaels here doesn’t have them and I have also googled them but to no avail really. Also, I don’t know how you attach to keep a heavy piece from slipping off the smooth ribbon but sure would be interested in learning how. Thanks again for sharing these delights with us.ReplyCancel

I recently found your website and so very much enjoy the creations you share with us. Thank you! Please let Spellbinders know they have sold a lot of product because of your great work! I have a quick question I think you could answer, maybe even in a in a Becca Bit. I have a lot of trouble getting the paper out of the Spellbinder’s dies without destroying the paper. Do you have any specific tools or procedures to release the paper our of the die? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks again.ReplyCancel

Hello there blog friends!! I’m not blogging from home today — I had every intention of getting this up earlier today but as luck would have it, I don’t have good internet availability today. No worries, I’ve had this card done for a day or two and wanted to get it up. Short and sweet, my inspiration was that I wanted to take Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five and make it into a frame with an offset oval. All went as planned except I had to flip my working sketch, that happens some times – I’ll try it the other way around another time :-).
Using Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five and Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG, I determined where I wanted to offset my frame opening and cut then smudged the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink . On the bottom of my shape I added three elements cut from Spellbinders™ Damask Accents and flared them before gluing. Using a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs called Spread Light, I stamped and embossed on the main panel then distressed edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink and attached it to my card base. This is a five wrap bow made on the Peg Bow Maker – just like a double or triple wrap but I wanted lots of loops so I boosted it up to five. For my final accent I accordian folded a 1″ x 12″ piece of cardstock, glued it down on a punched circle then added the filigree and pearl on top. This is another easy one that I’ll add to my “get a card done quick list” – in fact I have two variations on this that I’ll share in the coming month.
Fantastic spring colours and is that orange round the edge, looks great. Going to have to work on my bows never quite look as good as yours. Loving labels 25 use it for the shape of my cards. Finishing touches are perfect.ReplyCancel
Another fabulous card! It’s beautiful! What a great idea to create an offset frame! Such a simple idea yet I’d never have thought of it. Thanks for the inspiration. I do hope where ever you are you are having a wonderful time and you’re enjoying yourself.

Another beauty from Becca! This is one I could manage with a minimum of frustration. Your layered cards are always beautiful, but when I try them at home, they always look overdone and messy. My husband did make me a peg bow maker from your first post as he is a woodworker as your husband was. He has built fixtures for my craft room. Pictures of it are posted on SCS. I am a person long on age and short on memory, so I refer to your tutorial again and again. Now they are gone so I would like to have the DVD that you sell with your bow maker if I may. Please tell me how to purchase it.
The consistent mastery of your cards is amazing. It would help me a great deal if you would always state the size of each card posted.
Thank you, I follow your blog every day.
Happy Monday sweet friends! Cool things going on today!! I have a new tutorial to share you with (by reader demand) and a bonus tip!! First of all, let me just say that sometimes I’m on autopilot – on my last card I mentioned using a Martha Stewart punch and it was actually an EKSuccess Large Edger Punch. I knew that and have no idea why I wrote it that way!! I’ve gone back to my original post and edited in the correct information and I have it correctly here too!! Thanks for tipping me off, you are the best readers evah!! My card today uses the same technique of punching 360 degrees around to create a border frame, corners filled, with a consistent margin all around. It’s a quick tutorial today, and I show you how to do this with any type of linear border punch!
Hey, by the way, did you notice my new button? It’s on the right side of my blog – all you have do is grab the html and throw it into your side bar. I also figured out that I had a bad link on my contact page that was trying to send you to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) but was sending you to an old version. I’ve corrected it. I hope you’ll take a second to look – you may even find the answer to your question there!! Thanks for stopping by today – I’ll see you soon!!
So cool!! Love this technique, it makes for an unusual background! Thanks for the tutorial!ReplyCancel

Thank you so very much for taking the time to develop these most informative tutorials. What you show is extremely clear & easy to follow; it was also great to have the specific sizes needed for the paper. I also appreciate that you ennunciate clearly and it’s easy to hear your voice. You don’t speak softly, but in a moderately maintained tone; the softness is a problem for someone who doesn’t hear well. Thanks again…and will be looking forward to seeing more when you have time. Blessings.ReplyCancel

Becca, thanks so much for the tutorial, and the info on your first card using this punch technique. I thought I was totally loosing it and spent some time searching for a Martha Stewart punch that didn’t exsit. I really liked the scrolled border best and thought it to be very feminine with Mother’s day right around the corner. Now I know where to look. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I also liked your info on making the larger cards. I prefer working with a larger base also. Seams easier to align medalions/bow/ and sentiment, and you don’t have to waste a 12 X 12 sheet of paper to accomplish it.
I also wanted to say that I am seeing your Becca Bow Maker croping up all of the place and am so happy for you. I love mine and have been using it alot. Works fantastic if anyone out there is reading this and hasn’t picked one up yet. Oh, and your card is gorgeous today as always!!!!

Becca: Love the border filled frame but am having trouble doint it with both of the 2 punches I have. Hi Becca,
Your card is beautiful and the border filled frame is a really nice change from Spellbinders all the time (I am a Spellbinder addict, just got to love those dies!). Thank you so much for the video tutorial, it really helped me get to grips with the concept, so much so I have already created my first border filled frames. My first attempt was using the Martha Stewart ‘Happy Birthday’ deep border punch. It looks beautiful and makes a lovely worded frame that is suitable for any age.

HAD TO COME BACK!!!! Becca, have you seen the Stampin Up punch, Large Ribbon Border? They’re by EK Success too. That has the same little marks on the punch that you talk about. I tried what you said with this punch, although I think that punch in particular, won’t do what you said, only because it cuts off the design from the original piece of paper. BUT, can you think of ANY REASONS WHY this punch would have these SAME MARKINGS????? Just thought I’d throw this out to you, SINCE YOU ARE A PAPER CRAFTING GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!! :)ReplyCancel

Becca, I really enjoy and learn so much from your tutorials. I am a visual learner. would you think about maybe doing these special tutorials like they do on splitcoaststampers, so you can print the instructions with your pictures. that way one can read and see each step. this would be so helpful, then each time one needs them they would have instructions to follow. Not having a computer in my work space, I am not able to work an continue to watch at the same time. Please consider this option for all us visual learners.
thank you sooooo much. …. hugs and blessingsReplyCancel

This means that I receive a small "tip" when products are purchased through the links I share here. I have always shared links to help you find the items used in my creations however by being an affiliate, the tip comes from the manufacturer and costs you nothing extra - the price is the same whether you use my link or not.

The tips go toward keeping Amazing Paper Grace hosted as well as pays for monthly fees and maintenance subscriptions, I give much of my instruction away for free and hope you will continue to support me by clicking and using the links whenever you can.
What a wonderful card. The layering and colours are beautiful. You inspire me Becca.
Really stunning card here Becca. So gorgeous and I love the bow with that added bead on, it looks awesome, but the whole card does. I love it.
So pretty. Really love the colour scheme and layering on this card. An inspiration as always Becca. Thank you for sharing :o)
Hi Becca

CYNTHIA
Lovely card Becca, I love that filigreed bead! I’ve never seen anything like it before. No…I don’t get out much. lol Thanks for sharing.

This is lovely Becca, I never think to layer-up so many different diecuts and yet they always look so great! I really must try to follow your examples more :)
Ordered the bow maker and can’t wait til it comes to begin making those gorgeous bows!
This is SOOOO LOVELY Becca!!!!!!!! YES, your cards are ALWAYS pleasing to the eye!!!!!!!!! Thank you for showing us BEAUTY each day you post!!!!!!!!!!! :)
This is beautiful Becca. Also love that element in the center of the bow.
Very beautiful! Gorgeous colors! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.
Oh I forgot to say that I just love the “Supplies I used” ~ so thoughtful and also that your links to “Spellbinder” website to show the numbers of dies used. You make it very easy!

inspired by Becca ! I’m new to all of this and trying desparetly to learn

God Bless you

Beautiful! I seem to say that a lot here!
I just got the Spellbinders Floral Ovals, now I can’t wait to use them!
Enjoy it while you can…
I just got my Waltzingmouse order a few days ago. Just loved this last release and am planning on using it in a tag swap that I am participating in. Love your card this morning. I am starting to get all my new spellbinders too. Still have a few that haven’t arrived but I look forward to them any day now. Finally!!!!!

Gorgeous layering of the dies, so pretty!
I am with you trying to enjoy all this beautiful weather!
Beautiful, Becca, as usual. I love the swirls and die cuts you used.
I soooo love seeing how you add layer after layer using SB dies. It totally inspires me! Alas, I am not as successful with my attempts. But if you will continue to share your wonderful creations with us, I will continue to attempt to follow in your footsteps! Thank you so much, Becca.
I am so glad there is no limit to your creativity. Every card is a delight and completely enchants me. This one is no different, I’ve fallen madly in love with it. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your talent and knowledge with us.
Becca….another beautiful card with your style of layering which is just gorgeous! ….you have a special talent and so many people hanging on your every word here. Spellbinders are so lucky to have you displaying their goods and so are we <3
LOL Eileen
Where do you find the Recollections Pearls you use. I have tried Michaels in our town but they dont carry the type you use. Help
Thanks again for sharing these delights with us.
Oops, I also forgot to ask about Bead Landing … where can we order or buy these? thanks.
Lovely as always Becca.
I only WISH that I could layer all of those lovely elements as beautifully as you do! Your cards are always a breath of fresh air all in themselves!
I made a huge card tonight (something like 9.25″ x 5.5″), the first time I’ve ever done that. I definitely need more Spellbinders dies if I want my cards to be as pretty as yours!
Beautiful card.
You always wow me with your layering. I am starting to get a bit more adventurous but I still have a long way to go. Keep up the inspiring work Becca – you truly are amazing.
It is really fun to see a French word with your beautiful presentation .
I take it personally .
Merci beaucoup!
Francine
This is just beautiful, great work Becca
I recently found your website and so very much enjoy the creations you share with us. Thank you! Please let Spellbinders know they have sold a lot of product because of your great work! I have a quick question I think you could answer, maybe even in a in a Becca Bit. I have a lot of trouble getting the paper out of the Spellbinder’s dies without destroying the paper. Do you have any specific tools or procedures to release the paper our of the die? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks again.
I’m a fan of your creations and totally envious of your talent. Wonderfully inspiring. Thanks for publishing.
