Hello there sweet peeps.  Every month, the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team and I, feed you inspiration – actual projects that you can make using the die of the month.  Here we are again with a wonderful addition.  It’s so true that all paths lead home.  It’s during this long stint with the pandemic that many of us have come to realize that it doesn’t matter where you are; it’s the people you are with.  That’s the inspiration that fed into the creation of the July 2021 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month, Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home.  The sentiment that comes within the set says it all – You are My Home.

There’s just something so quaint and sweet about little houses.  They mean so much to us – a place of safety, a place of comfort, a place of love.  It’s only fitting that one should show up as a Mini Vignette!  This card folds flat to fit into an envelope to be sent through the mail.  It beckons you to insert your favorite pictures, a multi-page note or sweet nothings on the three panels that rest inside.

Here are some ideas that might inspire you to create:
1.  A mini scrapbook album
2.  A table centerpiece with a house on each side
3.  Separate the small house facade and use it on a card, a scrapbook layout, and beyond!

My Project Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home.

Today I made a card for a friend that is an avid book reader.  I rescued a book from the garbage and now it lives on in the wallpaper and facade of her house.  I thought it would be super cute to have print on the house.  If you look closely, right behind the first house I have tucked a gift card.  This is the perfect place to tuck a note, a gift card or even some money.

Designer Tip:  For this make, tweezers are your friend!!  It is not mandatory to use the detail pieces but they are quite fun and easily handled when you pick them up and place them using tweezers.  They also help immensely when you are trying to place small dots of glue.

Words cannot describe what comes to mind when you say the word “HOME“.  It means comfort, safety, family, fun and most of all  it is the place we nurture our souls.  I have a little thing about papercrafts that symbolize a home so I’m tickled to introduce my sweet version of Home Sweet Home.  Please welcome the Amazing Paper Grace July 2021 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home designed for Spellbinders.  It’s a joy to decide colors and put it all together, but the feeling it will give, once given away, are indescribable.  Fill it up with sentiments, add a picture or two, but most of all – let someone know that they are your home.  More of my “home” saga at the bottom of my post.

How cool is that – it folds flat!!

Inspiration for Home Sweet Home

I put every bit of my heart into this one.

Little cottages and home-shaped die cuts seem to be my thing, but this one is darling to make and darling to receive.  It folds flat and goes through the mail!  I can’t think of any better way to put the feelings of what home means into a card and give it to someone.  My thought is this is an upgrade from a regular card and the little stand-up home is virtually a gift.  I wanted folks to feel like they were putting love in an envelope and that was precisely the inspiration for this die.

Go Inside the Home Sweet Home Die Set

As a designer, I love to create multi-use dies that can be used for die cutting 3d projects as well as multiple card sizes.  The house is 4.5″ wide by 4″ tall and 1/5″ deep so it can definitely fit in an A2 sized envelope.  The base house is wide so it lends itself to a portrait presentation when put on a card and it will work fabulously on a slimline card.  The facade for the leading layer with the peak of the house is tall and works perfectly on an A2 card without the house base.  So many options!

Inside there is room for three tabbed panels for your message.  You can simply stamp on one or you can add pictures or you can attach a gift card – it’s up to you.

This house is so easy to make!!

Amazing Paper Grace July 2021 Die of the Month - Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home
As easy as it is to make, it’s just as easy to turn it into a basket!!  I simply created a box that is two inches high on all the edges – four and a half inches wide and 3 inches on the sides.  It was a piece of cake to add a handle.  Then I simply glued a house to the front and to the back.

And of course, some folks will want to make a regular card.  Mine today is an A7 card that sits in a portrait perspective!

If you are following my saga, you know that I’m in a different house now.  No refrigerator yet, no washer and dryer yet but by golly, I have a table where I can work.  Lol, the only boxes that have been unpacked are the craft room so that I can create.  Creating with the Home Sweet Home die has been a blessing to me. This past week helped me concentrate on how important it is to be “homed”.  When you feel loved and feel safe and feel welcome – you can do anything!

My kind new neighbors watched this house sit empty since January and wondered when I would actually come to stay in it.  I’m so blessed because even though they never met me and didn’t even know my name, they kept an eye on things.  It’s a close-knit neighborhood and the neighbors on the left, right and across banded together to welcome me.  All of that to say, there are three little Home Sweet Home gift houses I’ll be making to thank them.  I hope they like Starbucks because I’ll be planting gift cards inside!!  I’m grateful, happy, blessed, and optimistic.  I hope life is finding you on top as well.

Amazing Paper Grace June 2021 Die of the Month - Victorian Splendor Slimline - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=37182
Sweet friends.  So often with the Die of the Month, followers ask us to give them ideas of what can be done with the die.  Today, the Creative Team has a blog hop to share that inspiration. We are introducing a new Slimline Die that is part of an A7 Card Front – we call it an all-in-one.  Who knew that slimline could look so feminine – welcome the slim new Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for June 2021, Victorian Splendor Slimline.

Some links may be affiliate links, buying products through these links generates a commission at no cost to you.

Our inspiration is always being able to get the most out of a die set and this one scores high on the bar for functionality and feminine appeal.  If you can imagine a “Card Creator” type of die that has an inset Slimline, a decorative inset Border, and a sentiment label that could all be used in a Card Front – then you’d be looking at Victorian Splendor Slimline.  It has A2 and A7 elements.  It functions as a Card Front and pretends to be a slimline – all in one.

Here are some ideas that might inspire you to use pieces of the set:
1.  Pull the mini-sized slimline out and use it separately.
2.  Inlay the border at the bottom and top of a landscape A7 Card.
3.  Create a tall gatefold by folding in the border panel on two cuts of the A7 card front.

My Project Today using Victorian Splendor Slimline.

For today I made a box (surprise)!  I always make boxes with the dies I create because I love creating ensembles.  This particular box will hold some special tea for the recipient that gets the matching gatefold card.  It was easy to make – this one is 3.25″ x 3.25″.  Give me a shout-out in the comments if you want a tutorial on this one.  To decorate it I simply glued the border die-cut to the edges – it takes two.  For the lid, I simply cut the length I needed and adhered the pieces to the top surface of the box.

Designer Tip:  The small flowers that come with the die set are so trendy.  I keep them handy and whenever I’m cutting anything, I include them on the cutting deck and save them for later.  That way, I’ll always have little flowers handy.
