It doesn’t take many steps past February to begin to ache for the stirrings of spring.  Blooming flowers are the earliest sign and we have something to get you started.  Today I’m introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for March 2021, Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar.

Imagine kicking rocks as you walk down a sweet rural road, on one of the first days the weather hints that the seasons are starting to change.  You pick wildflowers and rush home to put them into a jar of water to keep them perky for the days to come.  Yes, that really happens and that was my inspiration for pulling together the Mason Jar Die Set.

Mason Jar Details

This easy to assemble mason jar can contain anything, however today it holds layered flowers.  This flat side look is just like a real bouquet.  Glue them or layer them with foam tape to make a dramatic statement.  The mason jar can be left solid or cut like a frame for a shaker card the stems are simply threaded through each lid to secure them for arrangement.  If you’re partial to flat cards, use the filigree band with two brads to hold your stems! This makes a lovely card front bouquet, complete with stems.

There are 16 dies included in the Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar

My Project Today using Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar

I think the mason jar is perfect to celebrate holidays and today, I’m showing the jar made up for two different holidays.  For my first project, I made the mason jar into a box that holds chocolate-covered almonds.  It’s just the right size – not too big and not too small.  Finally, I decided to use acetate and now you can see all the different colors inside.  If you are in a hurry don’t cut the aperture and simply make a solid jar.

Yes!!  I’m showing Christmas too!!  I took the  Jar and used it with the Amazing Paper Grace November 2018 Die of the Month and I think it’s so, so cute!!

Designer Tip:  To size clear acetate for this die, simply cut 1\8″ larger than the squarish jar insert.

I love dies that have more than one use and I sure have plans for this one.  Today I created a romantic, tall box that will be perfect to house a gift that’s going out.  All that’s left is to create the matching card and I have a stunning presentation :-)

The detachable flap included in the set feels to me like the powerhouse element.  It’s decorative and has a shadow and I’m already planning more things to make!

My Box using the Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox

I took the decorated mailbox flap and cut it four times and adhered it to the outside of the box.

Designer Tip:  The mailbox flap has a perforation.  Let there be an inch hangover and simply tuck that fold in over the top of your box for a finished presentation.

mazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month - Rose Garden Promise - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=36766
Hi there sweet friends! Today I am taking another look at the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for December 2020, Rose Garden Promise.

Rose Garden Promise Inspiration

I was bursting with inspiration for this 5 x 7 card front.  It is so reminiscent of stained glass, which I love and it also rivals my love for roses.  ‘God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December,’ a quote by James M Barrie.  It is precisely that quote that inspired me to think of roses at the end of the year. It has much to do with the promise of an approaching spring, buds bursting forward, and the gift of hope.  As one who loves rituals, I finished off 2019 with a die template that featured roses and decided it was worthwhile to pay them homage at the end of 2020.”

Isn’t it only fitting to go forward with hope for the future and for new and worthwhile things that will break through.  From the entire Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team, let this be a beautiful end to your year; we hope that through making, it brings with it the bonus of lovely memories.

  1. Stained Glass
  2. Wedding Card
  3. Shaker Card
  4. Anniversary Card
  5. Window Card

My Projects Today using Rose Garden Promise

I so wanted to cut the roses apart and use the motifs on my card and matching box.  So I cut the die from gold mirrored cardstock and took a couple of seconds to snip each of the motifs.  The smaller motif seemed perfect for a card and I used the larger motif for the top of my box.

mazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month - Rose Garden Promise - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=36766

Designer Tip:  When snipping the box, be sure to include the outside rim of the die instead of trimming from the inlay.  You’ll have less snipping to do that way.

I have been a member of the APGDOM since it started and not one regret. Anyone who has crafted with me loves your elegant, sophisticated dies! And you never fail to inspire or surprise me with these dies. I still am playing with the telephone and typewriter – such a surprise but I love them. I think my favorites will always be the cabinet dies. I have such fun with them and wish for a valentine/anniversary one. This die is lovely and reminds me of my mother and grandmother who had a tradition of three roses – I had that in my wedding bouquet and three roses in a mini cake topper bouquet. Thanks for the memories, Becca.

My plan is to make a gift card holder with this set, lighted picture frame, & a Christmas diorama for a small nutcracker in center frame. (Maybe even a spinner card!) Wish be luck…

    Have a Merry Christmas!ReplyCancel

I love love love your dies, have a hard time getting them here in Australia with all this covid happening.
