Congratulation Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using Justrite Congrats Vintage Labels and Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two
Hiya friends!  I thought I would bring some color into the world today.  I came upon a pearlescent pad of paper in my stash and combined several colors with a stunning pattern from K & Company.  It was a wonderful palette to use the new JustRite Stitched Circles Background.  I used it in a subtle way to add texture to my design paper.  Because the design on the stamp is so airy, this will be a fabulous one to layer over top of so many things with not too much risk of it becoming busy.  Digging through my stash, I found a silver pearl embossing powder from a long gone stamp company – but I’m sure someone makes an up to date version.
WRBF-4233-2014
Along with the gorgeous medallion stamp from the Congrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven Set , there are quite a few large sentiments – I picked ‘congrats”.  The medallion is cut using Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two and the sentiment is stamped on Vintage Labels Seven.

You Can Make This Card Too:  Start out with a cream hinged card base sized 6″ x 7-1/2″.  Here are the rest of the layers from the bottom up.  Pumpkin panel cut to 5-3/8″ x 6-5/8″ – adhere to card base using foam tape.  Matted panel from gold cut to 4-7/8″ x 6-1/8″ and stamped design paper cut to 4-3/4″ x 6″.  Add lace and satin ribbon.  Using largest die cut from Labels Thirty Two, stamp and heat emboss medallion – adhere to base using foam tape.  Add die cut layer using Vintage Labels Seven stamped with sentiment – adhere to base using foam tape.  Add bow in lower left of Labels Thirty two die.  Embellish with pearls and add stick pin.

A beautiful card with a color that surprised me as I don’t think I have ever seen you use it before. Its so much fun to experiment with something new and this turned out just great. That background stamp just seems to fit in nicely in a lot of layouts. Of course the pearls really set it off.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
This doesn’t have the normal Becca look to it, probably because it is not a color you use very often — but I really like it.
Just came back from a Craft Surplus Sale – sold a lot of stuff in anticipation of enclosing of my front screened porch into a glassed in “CRAFT ROOM” for me!! So very anxious, supposed to start on it Monday. So going through all of my stash, decided to get rid of a lot of stuff I haven’t used and probably won’t so it was off to another good home. Will be sure and send you a pic when it is completed.
    Hugs,

Easter Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using Waltzingmouse Stamps - The Good Egg, Spellbinders Divine Eloquence and Tranquil Moments
Hi there sweet friends!  Today I’m blogging both here and on the Waltzingmouse Design Team blog.   I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make something totally fun for Easter.  Yes, it involves pink, yes it involves bunnies, yes it involves candy….my work is done!  So here on my blog I’m showing the card I made for my ensemble.  I say ensemble because I made something really sweet and easy to match the card.  That something (and pattern) is over on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team Blog – for the specific post, click HERE.

WRBF-4225-2014
So for my card I stacked die templates like crazy.  The bottom layer of dies is Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and on top of that I stacked Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments.  I’m using the same speckled design paper and pink ruffled ribbon as for my matching item.  The card uses one of my favorite Waltzingmouse Stamps sets called  A Good Egg.   The egg shape and banner were cut out using Waltzingmouse Cut Files in A Good Egg Bundle – all the egg shapes are in the stamp set so you can fussy cut too!

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Rubber StampsWaltzingmouse Stamps – A Good Egg
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Smooth – Natural White, The Paper Studio, Pink
Ink: Fresh Ink – Sugar
Accessories:  Spellbinders A2 Divine EloquenceSpellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments, The Paper Studio Pearls, Silk Ribbon, Grand Calibur Die Cut Machine

Thanks so much for stopping by . . . don’t forget to pop over to Waltzingmouse Team Talk Blog.  While you’re over there don’t forget to download the free pattern with instructions so you can make your own :-)

Sympathy Card Making Idea by Becca Feeken using JustRite Baroque Frame Background and Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty Four
Today I want to share some news about an important date that’s coming but first a sympathy card to add to your portfolio.  I always say easy and truly this card was less than an hour from concept to finish.  That means, when you go to make it, it will be lickety split.  This puts me a card ahead in my stash – a sad occasion to be ready for but I have to admit that sometimes the weight of the occasion puts a damper on my creativity hence the inspiration to work ahead.  The simplicity of this card centers around this gorgeous flower from the $1.00 bin at Michaels this week.  The flower is huge so I divided it in half by pulling out the center to use later — that left me this large center which is coincidentally large enough to nestle a sentiment.  For the card background I’m using JustRite Papercraft Baroque Frame Background and small stackable sentiments from Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven.
WRBF-4184-2014
To highlight the gold embossing on the background and make the flower pop,  I used Spellbinder Luscious Labels One cut with gold foil.  The inside of the flower was large enough to cradle Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty Four and my sentiment stamped on Spellbinders Labels Thirty Four.  I finished off with a double bow and a skinny loopy bow on top.   Hint:  I used triple layers of foam tape to raise the sentiment up level with the petals of the flower.  Whew, that’s it!

An Important Date is Coming!!

You will be thrilled to know… that all the new die templates by Spellbinders are getting ready to ship!!  I know, right?!!  Well, that’s *definitely* cause for a celebration so please promise me you’ll be here on Monday, March 31st, and if you peek you’ll see my post up before 12:00am….  Now that your dies are being put in the mail, I want you to be ready for your next project.  That means I’ll have a large step-by-step tutorial for you to break those new dies in.  It’s an easy project similar to those you all always request but the wonderful thing is – it will show you yet another way to use those new dies!!   It will be a week of inspiration so clear your desk :-)  What celebration would be complete without a contest?  Yep!  Bring it!!  You can win dies, so get yourself over here on March 31st!!

What a lovely card! Would never have thought of using a flower in this way! That’s why your the designer and I am the reader!
Trouble is my mind then shoots off at a tangent thinking of all sorts other ways to use that flower with maybe a different message . Maybe to decorate a gift bag?
Thanks for waking up the brain cells!
    God Bless,
    MyraReplyCancel

So pretty Becca, this is something that I need to work on, is having cards ready to go. I’m always making the card for that person at the last minute or even late sometime (mostly). It just seems that I can’t get caught up.
Good News about the spellbinders being shipped. I have quite a few on preorder and can’t wait to get them.
    Hugs and God Bless

Such a lovely card Becca… I like your idea of having some sympathy cards on hand just in case… I have made extra cards too, just waiting for the finishing touches, for this same reason. You never know when you might need one…
Looking forward to receiving all my new stuff from Spellbinders… It’s been a long wait, but well worth it !! And now to have a contest too !! Woohoo !!ReplyCancel

I opened this while having lunch so didn’t get to respond right away. It seems I am always making sympathy cards. My friend says “soon there will be no one left.” LOL I do have a standard card which I use as my “go to” which I made up about 8 the other night so funny you should have a sympathy card today.
This is absolutely beautiful! The flower set the theme and the gold adds so much.
I am waiting with baited breath for my arrival of the many pre-ordered items from the Jan. new products. It is such anticipation – I guess you must get them from Spellbinders as soon as they come out in order to spark our interest with your delightful creativity. You never cease to “amaze” me. No wonder your blog is named Amazing Paper Grace!
Love you girl and anxious for Monday, have a GREAT weekend.

Your card is beautiful. I love that you have used white and gold. In our church liturgies, white is the color we used for the Resurrection. So using white seems so appropriate. Your card speaks to me of Hope and eternal life.ReplyCancel
