Today, I decided to make a Shaker Card and Matching Ornament.  Because it has a lot of area, I chose the Grand Snow Globe 3D Holiday Vignette and decked it out in cream and gold.  I simply added a layer of gold behind my cream layer for the extra sparkle to peek out.  I pulled out a piece of music patterned paper to give the back of the globe a little bit of contrast.

I don’t often make shaker cards but when I do, I love the experience.  The Snow Globe is begging to be made into a shaker card and the ornament is even simpler.  I filled mine with glitter glass and gold beads that are sandwiched in between two pieces of acetate and glued to open aperture pieces of the Snow Globe Die.  I cut an extra gold rim just for embellishment and then trimmed off the bottom of a gold die cut to pick up that lovely gold detail.

The card is made the same as the ornament except that I mounted it on cardbase and used popdots to give it some lovely dimension.  And then, I added a pretty bow.

Amazing Paper Grace 3D Holiday Vignettes and Glimmer - Christmas Damask Jubilee by Spellbinders - learn about this die at
Way back when 3D Vignettes were introduced, messages started to come in by crafters begging for the same thing, but in Christmas.  You also asked that we keep supplying new inserts.  Well, your wish is our command!  Introducing 3D Holiday Vignettes plus new Glimmer Designs.   If you are not familiar with these popular dies, stay tuned – lots of information follows.

Hi there, today I’m sharing my newest collection featuring new Vignettes for the holidays and the new Holiday Glimmer Designs will blow your socks off.  So…..

What’s a 3D Vignette?

A 3D Vignette is a dimensional card that folds down flat.  It has a front layer, a back layer and several in between layers that are held stable by slotted side pieces.  These layers allow you to build depth into a diorama or tunnel type card.   We take all of the guesswork out of the equation by giving you mix and match layers, including sentiments to stack into a Vignette.   So far, we’ve released 3D Vignettes and Shadowbox Vignettes.

What’s more, you can use your own supplies to fill them up as well.  The bonus is that each of these layers also works for your other types of cards you make.  A budget crafter from day one, I thought it was very important to keep the “mix and match” sensibility alive in Holiday Vignettes so that you get a lot of bang for your buck.  What does that mean?

1.  These vignettes are interchangeable with your other vignettes.

2.  Holiday Designs can be used for non-holiday designs after the season has passed.

3.  You can use these elements to make flat, stand-alone cards too.

About 3D Holiday Vignettes

Layered Die sets were introduced with 3D Vignettes and people quickly realized you could use them standing alone in cards or you could use them layered together in a diorama.  Shadowbox Vignettes continued the tradition and as you might guess, these new layering sets can be used in both Shadowbox Vignettes and 3D Vignettes.

3D Holiday features three new facades (each including a sentiment) using the same shapes that came in the original 3D Vignettes – Round (snow globe), Arch, and Cabinet.

In addition, there is a new layering set for each – a round, an arch and a shape to fit the cabinet.  Join us as we give you a full-on look at all of the new sets.

My Projects For Today

First up is GLP-120 – Christmas Damask Jubilee

Here is what the plate actually looks like.

Amazing Paper Grace 3D Holiday Vignettes and Glimmer - Christmas Damask Jubilee by Spellbinders - learn about this die at

For my project today I made a Christmas Card and a matching box.  Easy peasy!!  In fact, there are so many things I love about this plate that I need to list them, lol!!  Like:

  • I love that this plate can be used after Christmas.
  • I love that there are three sentiments that with it that can be used separately or with the Damask Plate
  • I love that after the Holidays it will be perfect for a wedding, for menus or for any other sentiment that fits the aperture
  • Oh, and it just coincidentally happens that S4-994 Marquise Diamond Pendant Die has the same shape as Damask Jubilee and will cut the shadow layer as I have done here.  So if that die is already in your stash, it will be well in your interest to consider Damask Jubilee, just sayin….

Amazing Paper Grace sneak peek of 3D Holiday Vignettes - Prancing Reindeer Layering Set and Grand Holiday Cabinet by Spellbinders - learn about this die at

Hi there friends!  One word – Holiday Cheer! Just Click the link and prepare to be amazed!!  Today I wanted to give you a new Sneak Peek of one New 3D Holiday Vignette and this is a link to all of my new Holiday Vignettes.  They are cropping up in lots of places so no worries, I’ll tell you where you can get your inspiration fix!

First of all, yesterday Spellbinders had a huge event online where they launched all of the holiday dies and stamps for 2019 – Vignettes included.  The offering is so huge and there is surely something there to please everyone from dies, to stamps, to glimmer to supplies to new tutorials.  This year there are bundles galore and some of my dies are even worked into bundles.  So much to see, the link to watch the Launch Party is below.

Also, the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team will be showing you each of the new designs, in detail, in a blog hop that is happening tomorrow – August 12th – beginning at 9:00am Central Time.  There are blog hop prizes so I hope you will join us to see some amazing creations.

I so love that this design folds flat to tuck into an envelope!

In the meantime, I was so blessed to be able to participate in the Holiday Cheer Launch and you can continue view all of the festivities here.  I’ll warn you – it’s four hours of tutorials and product showcases.  If you want to jump my tutorial, head right over to the 1 hour, 49 minute mark (1:49) but be sure to double back because there are other designers showing some of my other dies and everything that comes before is absolutely thrilling!

Here is some more eye candy of one of my favorite new sets.  The insert is the Reindeer Prance Layering Set and it is layered into a new 3D Holiday Vignette called the Grand Holiday Cabinet.

Today is “La Dolce Vita” and a day full of “Holiday Cheer” because I love all the new dies and cards made from them. Watching the show and re-watching your segment several times was such a pleasurable experience. I am anxiously awaiting details for that three-in-one box. Genius. I am making a Wedding Memory box using some of your previous inserts and dies and have planned a Christmas make and take for your Christmas box. As always, Thanks for the inspiration and for listening to what we would like to see. I am now dreaming of a Get well and valentines extravaganza.ReplyCancel
