Popping in to share another quick card I made using the Christmas releases from Our Daily Bread Designs from the set called Blessed Christmas. One can never have enough Christmas cards ready to go, right?!?  In addition to scripture there are many classic Christmas sentiments in this set and the fonts are gorgeous!

I framed the sentiment by adding two strips that I pierced with an Ornare template then tied a bow in between.  The sentiment is backed with Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two and I attached a Martha Stewart Photo corner on each corner.  I have gotten marvelous usage from a small K&Co pad of paper called Evergreen.  The pages seem just the right size to handle most cards and I simply adored all the pages which seem to be colored more towards what I call traditional Christmas.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Blessed Christmas
Paper:  The Paper Company, K & Co. – Evergreen Mat Pad
Ink:  Colorbox Pigment – Chianti
Accessories:  Ornare Template PR0583, Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two, Martha Stewart Photo Corner Punch, Ribbon.

I hope you are all ramping up for a fabulous time with your families for this Thanksgiving.  Thanks for stopping by today, as always, you bless me.

Okay Becca I’ ve got to hand it to you girlfriend this one is for the show case. I love the paper piercing. You don’t see to much of that because it is so time consuming. Thank you for giving of yourself in a way that really matters. Your card is a delight and of course I love the added touch of the ribbon.
I was at Birch Run this last week end and bought the exact same stamps from ODBD. I have the Onare stencils that are similar so this is a real joy to see for me. Its off to create for me. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hello there!!  Another quick card to share ;-)  This is from the new releases for Our Daily Bread Designs and this set is called Luke 2:11.  It features both Christmas sentiments plus this lovely poinsettia.  I dipped into the K&Co design paper again for this traditional pairing.  To set the main panel apart, I backed it with Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame.

My hubby will never believe that I can get to the point in a post like I have today.  I’m printing it as proof to him.  In the meantime, I’ll see you soon with more to say!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Luke 2:11
Paper:  Bazzill, The Paper Company, K & Co. – Evergreen Mat Pad
Ink:  Colorbox Pigment Cranberry
Accessories:  Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame, Velvet Ribbon, Making Memories Pins, Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it more than you know :-)

Becca, I like your card today. As I was looking at it, thinking something’s not quite right here, it struck me!! Becca, there is NO BOW!! Not even the stamped Northwoods bow that you’ve used in the past. There is NO bow of any kind!!!!! Yes, there is ribbon that’s a given. I keep going back to check thinking that my eyes are playing tricks on me. Really you did manage it, no bow, WOW. (LOL)

Amazing and inspirational as always, bow or no bow!

Hello there!!  What a gorgeous sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs and their November release called Christmas Verses.  I love this set because I can’t tell you how many times I purchased "Merry Christmas" and such – this gives me something a little bit different and majestic that really catches the eye.

I couldn’t resist the classic layout for the card but the design paper really gives it some umph.  My central panel is cut from Spellbinders Labels Four.  I have to admit that I would never pick this color combination but thanks to K&Co, I think the tealish color and red are dazzling.  Accented by the poinsettias on the design paper, the red bow pops.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Christmas Verses
Paper:  The Paper Company, Bazzill, K&Co – Evergreen Mat Pad
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Four, Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder

I hope your day was extra special.  I’m out of pocket right now so my commentary is brief today.  I’ll be back with my longwindedness soon ;-)

Your attention to detail really pays off. I went back up to look at the card after I read the description, and saw several things I hadn’t noticed first time around. I would never have thought to put the tan/brown/yellow (gold?) layer, but it makes everything pop. The placement of the poinsettias is perfect. A truly beautiful card.ReplyCancel
