Doesn’t that sentiment say it all?  I just love optimistic sentiments like this!  It’s from Quiefire Design – you can see it and others HERE.  Quietfire has new sentiments (many for Christmas) that I’ll get to show this month; they are already available so keep your eyes peeled if you’re browsing through the store.

I hope you’re having a fabulous day.  I’m basking in something less than scorching temperatures and drinking in the anticipation of fall.  Lol, I’m wisked away with every opportunity to go outside today – so not much computer time.  Today I’m sharing a card I put together for a monthly project over at Quietfire Design.   I wanted to show off the beauty of this sentiment with a super background using Spellbinders Flourish Impressibilites, Spellbinders Lattice Pendant and Spellbinders Classic Ovals .  I love using the letterpress technique but this time I really wanted to punch up the color so instead I brayered it on.  The results are sure gonna make me want to use my Impressibilities more!

You can click over to my project, step by step explanation and supplies HERE.

Be blessed my friends – thanks for stopping by, it simply does my heart good.

    Becca –

A truly lovely card with a beautiful sentiment. I love the background with the Flourish Impressability. The color you chose and the Impressability almost gives the background a look of burnt velvet. So very rich looking. Thank you again for sharing your art with us.

LOL!!! I just today finally got the apron lace punch & love how you’ve used it here — your cleverness never ceases to AMAZE!!! TFS!!!ReplyCancel

Hi Becca I am in love with this card. From being not interested in the Impressabilities I have become a huge fan through your gorgeous examples. You must make very large size cards as I just tried the punched edge idea and it wont fit onto a ‘normal’ size card I must get over the idea of only doing A2 creations :) I guess. Thanks for your continued inspiration :)ReplyCancel

Good glorious morning!  You know how excited I get about the first of the month!  Today marks the release of three new sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.   My card today is from a new sample called With Heartfelt Sympathy – you can see the remaining new sets here.

I pulled out some earthy fall tones and ribbon for my card and also relied on all the decorative edges of several Spellbinders.  The background panel was cut on both top and bottom with Spellbinders Lattice Borderabilities.  On top of the main panel I layered Spellbinders Labels Eight and Spellbinders Labels Five.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – With Heartfelt Sympathy
Paper:  Bazzill, Die Cuts With A View – Rustic
Ink:  Versafine – Black Onyx
Accessories:  Spellbinders Lattice Borderabilities, Spellbinders Labels Eight, Spellbinders Labels Five, Ribbon, Recollections Gems, Prima Flower

Today Our Daily Bread Designs is having a Blog Hop and if you made it here from Debra Saaranen then you are in the right place, if not the start of the blog hop is at Our Daily Bread Designs.  The neat thing about the blog hop is that there are prizes – the twist?  The prizes are hidden – you don’t know which of the designers have the prizes but if you leave a comment on each Blog along the ODBD Blog Hop, you will be entered to win.   All you have to do after entering a comment on each blog is go back to the Our Daily Bread Blog and leave a comment that tells us:
1. That you have visited and commented on each blog on the hop, and
2. What you liked best about these new sets!

The ODBD Blog Hop will be open for comments until 6PM EST Friday Oct 2.

The prizes:. A $5.00 Store Credit, a $10.00 Store Credit, and a $20.00 Store Credit!  These credits will be for any merchandise in the Our Daily Bread Designs Store!  Be sure to check the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog to see if you’re a winner on Saturday, October 3rd.

Now, on to the next stop which is Angie Z

A quick post to share another Our Daily Bread Designs card using the September Released set called Friendship.  I had a lot of fun with this one – the sketch is from Mojo Monday and with the paper I picked it almost made me feel like I was quilting!  Oh well, lots of patterns, but I adore a cream, black and red color scheme.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Friendship
Paper:  The Paper Company, K & Co.
Ink:  Colorbox Pigment – Chianti
Accessories – Ribbon, Round Punch

See, I told you it’d be quick.  I need to get to bed, we have a small day trip we need to take tomorrow.  Be good :-)

Gorgeous card. Love the border with the circles. You could make those kinds of borders with all kinds of different shapes, right? Have good week-end and thanks for sharing.
