My word isn’t this the cutest image?  Well, this is vintage Penny Black – I know because I have a whole shelf full of them ;-)  Although most of mine are discontinued I was thrilled to see Penny Black releasing this new stamp and several more of the sweet cherubic figures that are my favorite style from their offerings.  Even better, they are in cling rubber!!!  This image is called Winter Swing and Stamper’s Dream is stocking all of the new Penny Black in cling Rubber.

My image is colored with Copic Markers.  After coloring I cut the image out using Spellbinders Labels Eight.  Leaving the image in the die template I masked the image and airbrushed in the background with the Copic Air Brush System.  On the sides I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for a decorative element.

One of the things I have always loved about Penny Black stamps was that on the index of the mount you received a colored version of the stamp.  That way I could mimic their coloring and shading or go my own way.  Well, when these were released in cling without a mount, I wondered how they were going to handle it.  I was so pleased to see that they still include that colored picture in the packaging and these cling stamps have a black outline on the sticky side of the cling – first time I’ve ever seen that, but I like it!!

Greetings, I wanted to share a quick card using one of my new Magnolias – this one is #376 Tilda as Lucia.  I find her simply adorable! She is a current Christmas Magnolia but you need to look at the new Christmas Collection (So Jolly, Under the Mistletoe and So Snowy) that are available for preorder this year – HERE.

I’ve paired her some dreamy Webster Pages paper and distressed everything with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Tilda is perched on a medallion made using Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large and Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large.  This medallion is then nestled on top of Spellbinders Labels Eight.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Magnolia – #376 Tilda as Lucia
Paper:  Webster Pages – Petite Pages; Home for the Holidays/Winter’s Wings, Bazzill
Accessories:
Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large , Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large Spellbinders Labels Eight Ribbon, Pearls, Martha Stewart Double Loop Border Punch

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Tomorrow I have a super, super sweet Penny Black image to share as a part of Penny Black Week over at Stamper’s Dream!!

Greetings!  Today I’m sharing a card made with a lovely new set from Flourishes called Dove and Holly.  The shading laid in by the artist makes it a joy to color.  My card is essentially flat and functions as a pocket card.   Actually it started out being a band around the card that got quite large and worked itself into being the pocket.

The card is colored with Tombow markers and the edges are smudged with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distess Inks.  The pocket is cut with Martha Stewart Deep Edger Floral Vine Punch and the vellum overlay is hand embossed with Anna Griffin brass stencils.   The top edge of the pocket is cut with EK Success Scalloped Scallop Border Punch and embellished with pearls.    I feel like this format works really well when your stamped image is large.  By setting it up with the pocket I could still have the large focal panel yet have other decorative elements on the card as well and they all have the opportunity to be seen.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes – Dove and Holly
Paper:  K & Co., Bazzill, Pergamano Translucent Vellum, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:  Martha Stewart Deep Edger Floral Vine Punch, Pearls, Ribbon, Tombow Markers, Anna Griffin Brass Embossing Stencils, Clear Embossing Powder, EK Success Scalloped Scallop Border Punch

Thanks for stopping by :-)  Hoping you find joy today!
