Good weekend morning!! I got to play a little bit last night, weaving this frame has been in my head since I saw Spellbinders Lacey Circles. This was driving me crazy and even at the dinner I went to the other night I was going though it all in my mind – over under or is it better under over — loop around — thread through. My hubby could see me counting it off in my mind – whew – glad it’s done – moving on to obsess about something else I haven’t finished, lol! By the way this gorgeous sentiment is from Quietfire Design and is called Each of Us Has a Song. (Ha..ha.. my hubby saw the stamp and said too bad some of us sing off tune.)

After cutting two sizes of Lacey Circles I cut/embossed each with Standard Circles Large so that my circles were hollowed out enough that I’d be able to see the pattern once I started looping. I taped one edge of each circle down to my work surface so that both would be stable. Once I got around to the tape I switched it to the opposite side and continued looping until I finished all eighteen loops. It honestly doesn’t take long – unless you’re watching a sad movie like I was ;-). I centered the pair of woven hoops over a circle that I cut in the card with Spellbinders Circles Large. I stamped on my lower layer and then framed everything up. I also ran a border of Spellbinders Big Scalloped Petites across the card and embellished with little sage pearls. The small ribbon wasn’t wide enough for a bow like I like, so I simply paired the 1/4" ribbon up with 1/2" sheer and tied them together.

I was glad to see a post from you today as it is what I look for every time I check my emails for the day. The flower is gorgeous and I think I may have one of the same on a wreath hanging in my kitchen. Hum, I will leave it alone and keep my eye on for others the next trip to our Micheals. You do such beautiful work and I enjoy taking in everything you do. Can’t wait for your next post and have a great day…
Lovely card, beautiful colors. Thanks for the inspiration.
Another lovely card!! I’m always in awe of what you do with the Spellbinders! That Fanciful Holiday is such a great set. I’d love to have that one, but will have to wait until someone is offering a great deal on it and hope it’s still available. Maybe I’ll have it by Christmas 2011!!
Oh how stunning just beautiful, great colors and the combination of all that you did is just wonderful. Great work as always.
Becca,
Simply gorgeous!!!!! Love the fall colors. We have had a rather mild summer so far here in San Diego, CA. But we usually have a heat wave in late August early September. For now, I am really enjoying the mild summer. Not quite ready for fall just yet.

It looks just awesome Becca, and I too just love these fallcolors, and I think they looks great even I´m not ready for fall yet either, as we haven´t had much sumer at all here in Denmark the last 4 to 5 years, so we´re really longing for a really long and good warm summer here, butas the rain has started again now, I´m afraid we wount get anymore this year either, so it sure warms to see such a beauty.Wonderful work as always hun.

This is absoluteluy beautiful Becca. I just love the fall colors. Just so happens I made a floral arrangement with that same flower a couple of months ago! A friend re-decorated her livingroom and black was her color so I used that color a focal and splash of color, it is beautiful.
