Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace using Candlewick Rosebuds and A2 Swirl Background by Spellbinders - see post for Card Recipe and walk through - www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35491
Do you know what an Easter Egg is? We had one here last week.  We kicked off a blog hop and you may have gotten a glimpse of an entire new collection.  Oops!  The problem was that we were a month early here on the blog, lol! The Creative Team and I had to unpublish our blog posts, but they will be republished again in the near future.  If you look hard enough out in the internet you are bound to find remnants of some of our pretties but no fear, we’ll be back on November 11th with the hop. During that hop I published the names of the WCMD Blog Hop winners. Oops again! So I’m re-publishing them again here at the end of the post. In the meantime, today I’m sharing a look at Candlewick Rosebuds.

Cinch and Go Rosebuds

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace using Candlewick Rosebuds and A2 Swirl Background by Spellbinders - see post for Card Recipe and walk through - www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35491
I’m not a flower maker normally but I want to be. I have found that Cinch and Go Flowers are the best and quickest way for me to do cheater flowers that looked I fussed but didn’t. Candlewick Rosebuds is made in the Cinch and Go tradition.

Short and sweet, I wet each of the petals, burnish with a large ball-tipped stylist by mashing the petal down in foam and allowing it to curl. I take either a corsage pin or a pearl threaded onto pliable wire and thread each of the petals on the wire – adding a drop of glue in between each layer to hold it in place.  So, while that’s a quick description, you can see it in action: Introducing Cinch and Go Flowers on YouTube, and Cinch and Go Flowers Tutorial on YouTube.

For this card I simply assembled 6 of the rosebuds and twisted their wires (see video linked above) together to make a bundle.  It was very easy to then spread them out and glue them down.  Quick and easy, I promise!

So I was not imagining it after all! Today’s card is absolutely stunning, set off by those gorgeous rose buds.

Amazing Paper Grace October 2019 Die of the Month called One Kind Word Alphabet Collage - learn about this die at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35445 or at this link http://shrsl.com/1uur4
Happy World Card Making Day!!!  We have a GIVEAWAY (details at bottom of post) today but as usual we’re making cards; it’s a wonderful way to celebrate WCMD!  I’m tickled to show you a little bit of inspiration from my new October 2019 Die of the Month – One Kind Word Alphabet Collage.

I’m the kind that stands in the card aisle for hours on end looking for exactly the right sentiment to express what I’m feeling in a card.  Have you ever tried finding a ‘Sorry’ card? Um, right!  It was that frustration that led me to create this month’s Die of the Month.  You can headline with Sorry, Amazing, Silly, Crazy, Fierce, Happy, Blessed, Gather, Home, Grow, Friend, Bestie and the list goes on and on.  No need to stick to one word, you can have two – U Rock, Adore U, My Love.

One of the things we share when we share a handmade card, is kindness.  What better way to share that kindness than to put the exact word you mean on the front of the card.   Nothing like getting right to the point! The Alphabet collage is a card in and of itself but the words you can make with the letters that fall out, are priceless.  You can use the 5 x 7 Sentiment Frame or go naked and simply make up your own sentiment.

My Project Today:

Amazing Paper Grace October 2019 Die of the Month called One Kind Word Alphabet Collage - learn about this die at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35445 or at this link http://shrsl.com/1uur4
I simply can’t describe the draw I have to gingham and it was the strongest inspiration for my cards today.  I have two cards that I cut on the diagonal of the gingham paper.  I’m a seamstress at heart and if there are any seamstresses here too, you know how we approach cutting fabric.  I was able to get two cards out of my cuttings as they are opposites.  It just goes to show the flexibility with the die.  It has a frame that makes it ultra easy to compose the card and a brilliant choice if you struggle with composition.  The frame breaks apart the real estate so that it’s pretty easy to decide what goes into each quadrant.

Inspiration for One Kind Word Alphabet Collage

It was an easy inspiration for One Kind Word Alphabet.  I’m the kind of person who hangs out in the card aisle for hours reading sentiments – just looking for the exact, right one.  It’s the same with handmade cards – there is normally a word that sums it all up.  Voila, One Kind Word.  It just so happens to house an entire alphabet and the die that alphabet sits in will make it’s own smaller collage card.  I love it that the letters can be used to spell out any full phrase sentiment you want.

I created a video to show you a unique way the alphabet can be used and a fool proof way to get that pristine placement.  Beyond that, on October 5th, I’ll show you additional cards.

I’m just so tickled with the whimsy of this.  My mind is revving with a million uses – finally an alphabet to use with my journals :-)

Well, that’s my shares for you with the October 2019 Die of the Month until Friday, October 5th with the sweet inspiration from the Creative Team!

So hey, if you don’t mind giving me some advice.  I would like to arrange giveaways more often than I’m currently doing.  Are you surfing Instagram these days for giveaways or have giveaways pretty much gone by the wayside.  What would you like for me to give away?  Where is the best place to do giveaways?

I think a give away through your blog would be best. That way people like me that subscribe would link to the blog and find out who won. I don’t do a lot with Instagram. As to what to give away, that’s up to you, but I always hoped to be the winner of one of your beautiful cards when you were giving one away weekly. I love the new alphabet set and am looking forward to the blog hop.ReplyCancel

Becca I adore all of your dies! I would be thrilled to have this alphabet set, even tho I have at least 5 to 7 others, none of them are so delicate and the set looks like you could fit many letters on a line, I hate when I run out of space because the letters are so fat or wide. I will be here on the 5th hoping to win a set because I’m too poor this mon9to buy it.. :(ReplyCancel

Hi Becca. I’m not a solid visitor to IG, but I’m a visitor to your blog when I see you pop up in my email inbox. I just ordered the hot foil alpha, so this one is going to be fun to add to my stash. I have all of your monthly dies and always look forward to seeing what the next month will bring. I’m obsessed with the 3D boxes. ALL of them. Can we have more sentimentents? Birthday, get well, sympathy? Any way to stretch the boxes and a reason to make them.
I have also made the boxes into ‘birthday cards’ using just two the the slats. It’s super cute and much easier to mass produce. Thank you for sharing your creative mind. It makes us ALL look good!
Hope you’re back in your creative space!

BEAUTIFUL, Becca! LOVED seeing how you got those alphabet in their places so easily! AND ALL of your other creations too! You MUST TELL TOO, WHERE you get your embellishments???? Do you have a favorite spot to find them?

As for Giveaways, I like them RIGHT HERE on your blog. I don’t do any other social media. OF COURSE, others do all the other forms of Social Media, I’m SURE they would enjoy them there too. So another words, I am no expert or person to ask! LOL Looking forward to seeing the teams work!!! ;)<3ReplyCancel

    Hi, Becca,
I like to compose my own sentiments and many times will write them in calligraphy. More often, I’m in a hurry and look for stamps, dies or stickers to complete my cards. This month’s DOM is so different and helps fill this need.
To answer your query, I look for giveaways on your blog and your creations are the best ever giveaways. I have one of your cards and it is precious to me (displayed behind glass!).
I’ve been getting my dies organized and I am in awe of how many beautiful dies I have. I could probably create forever with what I have BUT I love, love, love the excitement of enjoying all your new inspiration.
    Love and blessings, SandyReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
Your card is beautiful as usual. I love ALL your work and designs. Unfortunately our dollar is not in the right place at present to buy them.
I am looking for a new die cutting machine preferably electric.
Can you please tell me the one you are using or recommend one?
    Love & blessings,
    MarciaReplyCancel

What a creative way to add alpha dies to cardstock. I always had trouble lining them up. This method makes it look easy. I don’t usually surf the internet for giveaways. However, I get excited when I see you post a blog. I look forward to what you are creating next. You are so special and I appreciate all you do.ReplyCancel

Absolutely stunning samples! Alphabet dies are so versatile, and this is a beauty. Looking forward to WCD. I’ve seen other crafters use Rafflecopter to manage giveaways on their blogs.ReplyCancel

Oh Becca, What a fantastic alphabet set! Your samples are, as always, gorgeous! I’m looking to seeing what your design team come up with.
I don’t use any social media and so my personal preference for any giveaways would be this blog.

Good morning Becca, Really love the cards. The letters inspire me to make my own sentiments in my own words .
As for giveaways, you are so sweet to do such a wonderful thing. I of course would love a chance to win anything that has to do with card / scrapbooking but you asked how I feel about the give a ways. So here goes, I don’t always have time to go to other people’s blog to enter for a chance to win something and when I do I can’t always figure out how to comment on there anyway. I do not do social media such as facebook or instagram or any other site like that . It has always seemed like a place that encourages gossip and unkind actions. I just don’t have time in my life to live in other people’s drama. You are the only person I haven’t met that I actually enjoy keeping in touch with on the internet and that is because I believe you have such a wonderful heart for God and that someday we will meet in Heaven.
Well, there is my voice to add to the others, hope it helps. God bless…Denice with a “c”ReplyCancel
