Amazing Paper Grace February 2020 Die of the Month - Elegant Reveal Shutter Card - learn about this die at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35858
Hello there Gracelets!    I’m the proud mama every month to a die of the month and this month it is a twist on a gatefold that is 10 shades of elegant.  If you’re not an over the top elegant crafter then you can take this to the more clean and simple look or if you like bling and intricacy then you have my permission to bling this up.  This month our Die of the Month is the Elegant Reveal Shutter Card.

This is the gatefold with the half-moon motif on each side of the opening.  I used the same half-moon motifs to decorate the back and threaded my silk ribbon through the die cuts.  I loved being able to decorate the back of the card.  To me, it’s an easy way to finish or add a little bit of polish to the card.  By the way, this is is so easy, it almost constructs itself :-)

There are so many extra dies in this set that work to make “normal” cards but if you follow the directions to the YouTube below, you’ll be making an interactive card that is a beauty to behold.

As always, I’m a huge believer in “ensembles”.  These panels work up wonderfully into a box and by mirroring the panels, you have a sweet, elegant, balanced look.

Did someone say “normal card”?  Yes, I think I did!  If you are not the interactive type then do not be troubled – you can layer these elements together for a gorgeous card!   This was a month of fun for me and I got to hit each one of my comfort zones for a very rounded set of dies for the stash.  By the way, if the nested shape looks mildly familiar – it’s the Hollyday Stationery and Envelope Corner Glimmer set. The dies in this die of the month will cut out this sweet border.

Thanks as always for your kind words.  I still adore designing dies!   It might be a bit of an addiction and I spend quite a bit of time doing it.  So I’m wildly curious – are you the interactive type or simply at home with an elegant die?  Which is your default – mostly cute or mostly elegant?  I’m at the designing table this week musing my next designs and would love your feedback :-)

I mostly a traditional card maker but once in a while I like to try something interactive such a a Pop and Twist. I am definitely going to try this interactive one. Becca,I had a dream about you the other night that I stopped to see you and you had moved right around the corner from you house that got damaged in the hurricane. Very weird, but see I think of you even when I’m sleeping LOL!

OH BECCA!!!! I LOVED your video! I DO LOVE “interactive” cards! They are like a challenge to me! LOL I have a book on them & try one out every so often. Don’t have the luxury of a die for those, but I LOVED watching you create this card today! You made it look SO EASY! ;)BUT, I also LOOOVE ELEGANT! If it can be elegant & interactive, I’m IN HEAVEN! These are USUALLY SPECIAL OCCASION CARDS for me! I also Love the MANY WAYS we can use your dies, the versatility of them! LOVE that the glimmer dies work with this set too! The more that coordinates, the better is my view! I SO look forward to seeing what everyone else has created with this die too! Till tomorrow!!!!!!!!! HUGS! ;)<3ReplyCancel

    Oh, goody, goody, Becca!
When you demonstrated how your interactive card works, I was bouncing up and down in my chair with excitement. To use your word, I’m sooooo TICKLED!!! The most used dies in my box are your Curvy Labels and the nested dies here remind me of them. Since I discovered interactive cards several years ago, they are my first choice. I like making people feel special and they do just that. Since I’m a musician, also, if your muse wants to sing you, you’d be playing my tune! But honestly, you could never create something I don’t love, but interactive and elegant will grab me every time.
    Love & blessings,

    Hello Becca,

I have to say that I am definitely at home with an elegant die and find it a challenge to see how many different ways it can be used. Your “ensembles” are always a favorite part of your release and the box in this release is simply gorgeous, I can’t wait to try that one. Whatever you come up with is always amazing and ALWAYS exudes elegance and grace. There is no one that is close to you in those categories. There are two designers that I follow religiously and you are one of those two. Your videos are so easy to follow and inspiring. In case you can’t tell Becca, I love everything that you do.

    Have a wonderful day.

You are the delight of my day today with your new creations and tutorials. Not only are your cards delightful, they are so fun to make. I have never had anything but oohs & aahs from recipients of cards made with your dies!

I love the gatefold card sentiment you used and would appreciate knowing where to purchase it. (Checked QuietFire but did not find it.) I may have to have an intervention because I am addicted to creating mini albums using your Accordion Fold Spine die. Thanks for the inspiration today, Becca.ReplyCancel

Another month has come to an end and we say goodbye to another Guest Designer on the Amazing Paper Grace Blog.

But first, I wanted to step back through some glorious arrangements put together by Gloria Stengel.   All month we held our breath to see what she would come out with next and everything was absolutely show-stopping.   She is an expert with color and design paper and coaxing the best out of each.  It’s so hard to explain but as you waltz through her makes, you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Stay tuned to the end of the post for our most recent blog hop winners.

Elegant Inspiration by Gloria Stengel

Gloria’s mini-album using 3D Vignette Mini Albums was simply superb –  you can grab some of her die picks at this link – HERE!

She used:

S4-1031 Decorative Edges and Spines
S6-164 Grand Crested Tower
S5-409 Universal Accordion Fold Spine
S4-1027 Double Halo Oval

Another card cleverly woven with just the right colors and some amazing design paper!

She used S4-1027 Double Halo Oval

I love how she picked a sweet vignette from her design paper and showcased it on her card.  If you look closely you’ll see she used:

S5-401 Candlewick Lace Card Front

Last, but certainly not least, this beauty was created with the Lace Front Die and the colors are spectacular!

As you know I was tickled to attend AFCI (CHA) in January in Phoenix to reveal all of my upcoming dies.  It was an exciting time as always and then I caught the flu.  It has really had me sidelined but hopefully, I’ll be back to 100% soon.   In the meantime, let me share our newest die winners.  You have two weeks to get your selections and addresses to me through the contact tab at the top of the page.  Please remember it may take up to eight weeks to receive your dies :-) You may pick any of the  Becca’s Die of the Month offerings, except February 2020.

Introducing 3D Vignette Mini Albums by Becca Feeken to get links and see supplies go to www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35795
3D Vignettes

3D Vignettes were introduced almost 2 years ago and along the journey, our readers have begged us not to abandon the concept but to keep adding on.  As always, your wish is our command!  Introducing 3D Vignette Mini-Albums.   When the first 3D Vignettes came out, we fashioned them into mini albums using the familiar side piece and slots but now we’ve made it permanent with a Universal Hinge.  Plus we’ve added a whole collection of dies you can use inside the mini-album including two new shaped card profiles and a new Cinch and Go Cottage Bloom Flower that can be used as a dimensional flower or a flat flower inside the mini-album.  Stay tuned as you see a mini-album from each Creative Team Member and card that highlights one of the dies used in the mini-album.

3D-Vignette Mini Albums

When the response to the first 3D Vignette cards turned into mini albums blog hop brought such a positive response, readers asked for more.  So I designed an easy to fold Universal Hinge that makes it easy to convert your 3D Vignette cards into  Mini Albums.  I tried to stay true to my mix and match budget sensibility, of course, so all of the elements of this new collection can be used to make flat cards, can be used with original 3D Vignette designs, and older 3D Vignette dies can be refreshed and used with the mini-albums.

Best of all, if you have ever been too overwhelmed to create a mini-album or a scrapbook page, take heart.  Since your choices are mix and match, we’ve taken all of the guess work out.  The small format is card-sized which makes it doable for those of you accustomed to working on a small card size project.  We’ve made albums that are tiny up to 6 x 6″ and 8 x 8″.

Our projects today are embellished with my newest Cinch and Go Flower, S4-1045 Sweet Cottage Blooms.  It is designed to work up as a dimensional flower and as a flat flower that fits into the albums

My Mini Album For Today

For my project today I made a sweet with mini-album that includes most of the dies from the collection.  I filled it with pockets and places that you can tuck things.

These would make a beautiful wedding invitation, pockets galore for all the information. A little time consuming, but certainly worth the time for one of a kind. I am also thinking it would make a beautiful baby shower invitation. Beautiful pastels! I have got to buy these dies! So versatile! Blessings.ReplyCancel
