Amazing Paper Grace November 2019 Die of the Month | Winter Solstice Snowflake

We always need that one Christmas die that makes an easy, classic, Christmas card with a minimum of fuss. It’s even better if you can shift the dies around to get a couple of different configurations if you get tired of the first. Winters Solstice Snowflake is that ‘go to’ for me this holiday season. I was so tickled playing with this to come up with a card, a box, a tag and ornament, and a frame. Whew! I designed it so that it can be used all year around. Just change your embellishments and you’re home free!

Inspiration for Winters Solstice Snowflake

I knew the six-sided shape was going to be perfect for layering. I’ve not created with a hexagon before and the pretty pattern inside along with a round doily shape certainly tilted toward Christmas. The wonderful thing is, these designs are classic and can be used year-round.

It took a while but I wanted to parlay that lovely six-sided shape in a box. As you know, I believe in ensemble sets and created a video to show you how to make the matching box for your card. A little bit of snipping, some folding and voila — a box! I encourage you to watch and try!

So spectacular! Thank you for showing us how to make the box…I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have figured it out myself. I watched the video and then wrote down the instructions. Definitely, going to give it a try. All the creations are gorgeous. Can’t wait to see what your design team dreams up.

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace Guest Designer | Henriette van Mierlo

Every month we welcome a new Guest Designer to the Amazing Paper Grace Blog. It’s an excellent opportunity to add a spin on style to what you see here day to day. Today, I’m thrilled to be introducing Henriette van Mierlo to the Amazing Paper Grace Blog. Henriette will be sharing designs during November 2019 and I know you’ll just find that her style is calm, cozy and sweetly embellished.

Hi, all! My name is Henriëtte van Mierlo.

I was very flattered to be invited as a guest designer for Amazing Paper Grace.

Here’s a bit about me;

I live in The Netherlands with Robert and I have an 18-year-old daughter. I work part-time in financial administration and in my spare time my biggest passion is crafting.

Years ago I started with stamping and making cards and through the years I also created foamiran flowers, mixed media projects, albums, boxes, and junk journals. Yes, I’m addicted to paper. I also love reading, traveling and I go to the gym 2/3 times a week. In short, I’m never bored.

I’m excited to share my creations with you this month.

Elegant Inspiration by Henriëtte van Mierlo

Henriëtte designs with so many colors and textures. Take a walk through her pastels and the sweet depth of colors and patterns and layers to introduce a new little one!

A Month with Rajni Chawla

It has been our pleasure to work this month with the amazing Rajni Chawla! Oh my goodness, her stream of creations were heavenly and elegant and stunning and I don’t think there are even enough adjectives to describe!! She created a boatload of projects and I’m tickled to recap them here!

Rajni’s style is definitely classic and polished and elegant and she has a knack for combining and layering dies in unique way that’s eyecatching and intriguing. I’ve learned that she loves gold but her signature by far is her flowers. I promise you she has a million different nuances of flowers up her sleeve and when it comes to making foamiran flowers, you can’t tell if they are real or handmade.

Please continue to follow her – Rajni’s Blog – if you’re mildly interested in flowers, she’s one to watch. She started out humbly and through watching and practice, taught herself through trial and error how to come up with those fantastic arrangements.
