Thank you Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements and Spellbinders Mary Border Strip
Hello Monday, hello friends! I spent the sweetest weekend with my girls and they brought my favorite dogs with them. Bliss is the only way to describe being surrounded by family. We were all missing Dad for Father’s Day but being together, celebrating, sharing good thoughts and funny stories about him elevated the weekend to amazing. Last week I pulled together a a small but detailed Thank You card to share! I especially like the way it is said “For All You Do”, which to me is a special acknowledgement over and above ‘thank you’ – this by Serendipity Stamps.   You know there’s always place in your stash for a thank you, so I encourage you to give this simple one a try :-)

Thank you Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements and Spellbinders Mary Border Strip (close up)
I started out with a 4-1/4″ tall by 4-1/2″ wide card base in cream.  On top of that I added Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements cut into a frame using Spellbinders Classic Squares LG.  Around the frame – for detail – I used Spellbinders Pierced Squares.  Inside the frame I used Spellbinders Mary Border Strip and topped the design off with the banner from Spellbinders Royal Medallions.  Card Size 6-1/8″ x  4-1/4″

    Good morning Becca,
This is a lovely card Becca and just so right for certain times where thank you just isn’t enough or seem right for what you want to say. You are so very lucky to be surrounded by such a loving family to pick you up when you need it most. I too thought of my beloved daddy yesterday but like you he is where no one can touch him, in my heart and mind and memories and that is where everyone that truly loves someone keeps them and cherishes them. If you put your arms around yourself this is the big hug that i send to you flower,
    love

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Shady Allure and Serendipity Stamps - The Peace of God
Good morning friends!  I thought I’d pop in to share some more oval goodness with you in the way of a landscape oriented card and some beautiful textures.   For a change of pace I reached for a rich blue and embossed with a white core paper using Spellbinders Shady Allure.  After buffing with some sand paper, the lovely texture of the embossing folder comes out and serves as the base element in my card.  On top I layered Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance and ink embossed the detail by sponging over the openings in the die template – yet another way to distinguish the detail.  My next layer, Spellbinders Labels Forty Seven is placed there just to peek out from underneath the oval from Spellbinders Oval Floral.  Just that little bit of color is enough to separate the layers.  I’ve had this lovely sentiment from Serendipity Stamps for quite some while – it’s called May the Peace of God.  It’s a fair sized stamp that fills the oval and the navy ink adds another layer of contrast!

I sponged around most layers with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  The final piece was an accent on the upper right hand corner of the card to add some interest – I used Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Four to cap off the design.    The card is 8″ x 6″

Swirl Bliss Journal Trio Tutorial by Becca Feeken - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good Morning sweet friends!  Whew, it’s been busy behind the scenes and you’ll notice I have a new look!  So today I’m stepping out with baby steps. The change was necessary as my old theme was slowly decaying and giving behind the scene errors.  This upgrade brings many more options and with so many bells and whistles I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for glitches.  Crossing my fingers that the memory upgrade we did is enough.  One change you’ll notice is the blog has now moved to www.amazingpapergrace.com/blog/ and I have a home page now.   Make a note just to add that /blog/ at the end or just go to the menu at the top left hand side and select blog.  Yes, it will take a bit of getting used to but now I have more room to grow!!  I hope you like the change – eek, the last change to my blog was 2010!  Help me test ou the comments – let me know what you like best!

Today I thought I would share a tutorial I had previously shared over on the Spellbinders website.  Many of you were looking for the instructions, so here you go!!

Thank you Joni, I should have made that 3 x 4.3″ and thanks you your keen eye I’ve gone back and corrected it. That surely would have thrown someone for a loop trying to figure out what I meant. Thank you so much for having my back!! Thanks also for the kind words!!ReplyCancel

Music to my ears Bunny! Lots of planning and hoping everyone would like and be able to see all the information you’ll be able to get to. The design evolved because of the questions I would receive on a daily basis in email. My goal is to answer the question before it is asked!ReplyCancel

That is just gorgeous, I bet this was a lot of work, looks great, the only thing I was thinking is when I clicked on the link from my email it took me to like an open page, and there were no post. Finally I clicked on go to top of page or something like that and it brought me to this post. I don’t know if that is what you had intended or not but I was almost ready to leave thinking you just hadn’t gotten that far and was still working on your blog, don’t know how many other people may have just left thinking there was no post.ReplyCancel

Connie, thank you so much for pointing this out! I would have assumed everything was alright there had you not said anything, so thank you! Ugh, this is gonna take some work on my part to get it straightened out. Don’t know if it’s Feedblitzes fault or mine, but I’ll research and it and will get it fixed. In the mean time, I’ll probably put instructions at the top of every post to click the blog button to get to the first post – at least until make sure all the links are right. Thank you friend, oh and thanks every so much for the sweet words!!ReplyCancel
