How bad is that when I have to go back and figure out exactly when I started this blog? Oh, yes, it all comes back to me now . . .
My first post went live on February 10th – three years ago, but I was so afraid that I wouldn’t have anything to say that I actually did five posts in a row and saved them all up and published them all on the same night, back dating them to beginning February 1st. I know it sounds odd but if you knew me better it would all make sense. Why? IRL, I’m kinda shy. It was, and still is, totally out of character for me to do something like a blog . I still laugh about this because I can still hardly believe it. My goodness, I never really thought anyone would look, ‘cept maybe my local girlfriends and John.
I’m sure you’ve heard the quote Rules for Happiness. Rules for Happiness: something to do, someone to love and something to hope for. This blog met the first need and in my case the other two were already taken care of :-) Somewhere in the journey I celebrated my faith, made a lot of friends, learned how truly kind people can be, figured out how to take a picture, improved my spelling, boosted my confidence, found a couple of companies that would let me use their products and sent out a card or two. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating – you all are a second family to me and I’m so glad you’re here! I read your suggestions about things I could offer and I like them all!! So here’s what I’m going to do this time around.
There will be a winner for each year that I’ve blogged that means 2 goodie pack winners plus 1 grand prize winner. The prizes are:
Grand Prize (1):
Spellbinders Grand Circles Nestabilities
Impression Obssession – Delft Cube #3
Provocraft Cricut Cartridge – Sweethearts
Sizzix Embossing Folders – Damask Set
Recollections Flowers
Pearls – pink, peach, blue
Basic Grey Glazed Brads
BoBunny Premade Page Pad
Prima Stamp – Flourish
Goodie Packs (2):
A Goodie Pack with 3 of my available cards
Cardstock Pre-cuts made using new Spellbinders Dies (Pick 5, 1 color per set)
(Thankfully because I have a Spellbinders Grand Calibur this will be an easy feat – lol!)
A JustRite Stampers Stamp Storage Mini Binder Box (this will protect your goodies as I send them through the mail)
The celebration will run for one week beginning right now and ending on Wednesday, February 16th at Midnight CST. As usual you are free to leave a comment each day, but the comment must be left on this post only. In your comment tell me what you are grateful for today, this can be anything and doesn’t have to be craft related. Please do me a favor – wherever you can – in a blog post, in a forum, when you’re talking to your friends, please mention I’m celebrating and send them on over to this post!! This time around I’ll announce the winner after 2/16 and the winner will have 24 hours in which to contact me. I’m finding 48 hours is a long time to wait for a winner and most people move on and forget or don’t know there are still prizes out there. In any case I’ll be sure to send out a notification once all the prizes are claimed. Thanks for helping me celebrate and thanks for spending time with me here at Amazing Paper Grace.

P.S. During the coming week I’ll have an “add ons” for the Blogaversary grand prize that I’ll post separately. If you’re a winner and have left a comment for that particular day, you’ll get the add on :-)
Don’t forget to leave your tips for the February 31 Days!!

Beautiful job Becca, I love the ruffled background it really looks great the way you have it laid out. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
Another beauty. It is great that you tell us how you make your cards and what items you have used. Not that I could begin to copy even with all of the knowledge.
Becca
I love that accordian fold and the fancy tags2 is awesome. and FAITH is what I walk by. Love it!!!
Wow- I am blown away by this card! Stunning!
Oh my goodness! I LOVE that accordian fold. I’ve seen it in circles, but never the shape you used. Stunning card!
OMGosh, this is so stunning!! It reminds me of rays eminating forth from the word Faith. Absolutely gorgeous design!! tfs
LOVE now you used the medallion in the BG and then added the nestie to frame it and put the sentiment on top! Brilliant idea and a fabulous card.
WOW Becca you outdid yourself on this one….it is great! Wish I were near you to learn this as I am not good following written directions, never have been for some reason. Just an awesome card. Daily I pray for you and hope your life is getting easier for you. Making things seems to help alot for me to ease lifes battles. But first I always turn it over to the Lord. Have a great day gf. ekc
Love this card!! Maybe – could you do a tut on the box envelope that you will have to use for this?
I’m confused… in the second step 4 of “HOW IT’S MADE”, you describe the accordion folded element as being round, but the one on your card has little points that stick out in two places on the top and two on the bottom. So, I’m curious how you cut the strip to achieve that look. If it was just a round element it would be like the fan fold flowers that are made with accordion folded straight strips. But yours looks like an accordion pleated “label” shape for lack of a better description. The shape of it reminds me of something like a Spellbinders Label Die shape! Very cool!!!! And of course… it’s a gorgeous card!!!!!
Becca, this is an absolutely beautiful card! Thank you for sharing the instructions.
This is gorgeous. I am so amazed at all the things you think of to do to make your cards look so pretty.
Becca,
Wow this is such a great look. Such a fancy and elegant design. Would love to see the inside of this card. Did you have to box fold the top of the card base to allow for the thickness of the rossette? Very pretty results and naturally you topped off with one of your gorgeous bows. You definitely had to dig deep to find some of the Julianne Papers. I have tons of the old lines of K & Co. papers that came out that year. They were so beautiful and I never tire of them.
Marcie
the rosette behind the cutout is stunning and really highlights the point of the work. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love the card!!Oh,no,more goodies!!
Just gorgeous Becca! Extra postage for a special person or occasion is just fine with me! TFS
What a gorgeous card Becca! I love the dp, and all the various embellishments, especially the ruffled background.
Wow, Becca, this is beautiful! You never cease to amaze me with your awesome creativity! Thanks for sharing, and enjoy your weekend.
Wowwwww…..this card is stunning!! I love it!
Absolutely beautiful! You are so creative!
Marie Clark (see above) has said exactly what I had in mind to write! So all I’ll say is DITTO.
I’d like a piece of your brain – it must be constantly churning and thinking up new ideas to try. It would take me at least a WEEK to create something like that with several “do overs” along the way. Thanks so much for sharing and for leading me to these wonderful stamps!
Amazing how you find the time to create such beautiful and awe inspiring cards. Thank you dearly.
Beautiful card as usual. I will have to find that Spellbinder’s Parisian Accents set.It looks wonderful.
Karen
Fantastic background. Only you would think of it. Lovely card.
Blessings Bernie
Gorgeous card, Becca! Love how you matted on top of the ruffled flower! Have a wonderful weekend!
Absolutely stunning! Do you sleep or is your mind racing all the time with all this creativity? Have a blessed day!
Oh so gorgeous!!!!
Another beautiful card Becca. How do you ever come up with your ideas?
When I saw the name of your project today I thought ribbon. Wow was I surprised but Becca, how could any one give away such a beautiful card? If only I could make one like you did I’d frame it in a deep glass frame (not to squash it) and hang it on the wall in my entry way where I would see it every time I came in or left the house. It would mean so much to me now, especially while I am trying so hard to keep the faith in doctors who seem to ALWAYS disappoint me.
What an exceptionally beautiful job. There is no way you could go back to the simple cards any more, they would be boring!!! LOL
OMGosh Becca, this is absolutely gorgeous! This design is so beautiful, what an inspiration you are! Lovelovelove this!!!
WOW Becca, what a wonderful idea to use the “ruffled” background layer. You are SO clever!!!!

Beautiful card, Becca! You are amazing – forever-and-a-day-amazing! I am grateful for the teensy bit of determination I have to play with paper. While I am such a novice and have a very low level of talent, it still gives me a lot of satisfaction.

You amaze me all the time…did I tell you that before…well this is another time…I am AMAZED, WOWED…
Your gathering of thoughts, design and bring the old or new to the new and/or old takes on a effect all its own.
Thanks for sharing all of this from within throughout the world…Tootsie
I love the way the direction of the pleating focuses on the word’faith’ and the texted paper…and the dusty pink … and where to stop?
I love how all the layers around faith fit together. I would never think of doing that but they are great together. Thanks for the idea.
What a fabulous card, I love how you put the rosette behind the label cutout. What a great idea. I will be giving this look a try. Thanks for all your inspiration and sharing your knowledge.

Wow, wow, wow…this card is just amazing!
I do have one question for you, what type of adhesive do you use to attach items to the medallion?
I have made these before and everything i try to attach seems to pop off.
Okay, I’ve hunted all over and can’t come up with the instructions on how to do this ruffled background. Help!
Knowing Becca, I’m sure there is a turtorial for the fan fold used here, but I can’t find it. Help!
