Hi there sweeties!! First of all, thanks to those who have signed up for an opportunity to win the new Core’dinations that matches Ranger Distress Inks and Adirondack Inks. There’s still time and the wonderful thing is, if you win, I win too. The link to register is in my post HERE. Also, I have my own blog candy going until sometime on Monday, you can read the post and leave a comment HERE.

Now moving on, another piece of the ensemble I created using
Spellbinders Parisian Accents and Motifs (we’re almost done).  This Journal was the inspiration and starting point for the entire ensemble. I’ve long wanted my own specially made Gratitude Journal versus just a lined notebook. In this one I can sketch, doodle and glue in items I like. The stamps I’ve used are a set from Quietfire Design called Journal of Gratitude Bookstamps that are artistically beautiful as well as delightfully elegant. Once the innards were stamped, I closed the cover and concentrated on the outside.
I think I picked this journal up at Books a Million for less than $5.00.  I love it that it’s a bound book and it has an elastic band that keeps the book closed.  Blank pages that are heavier than text weight paper made it fly into my shopping cart!

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Quietfire Design – Journal of Gratitude Bookstamps
Paper
: Bazzill, The Paper Studio
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:
Spellbinders Parisian Accents,
Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Spellbinders Standard Circles SM, Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I’m off to bed and hope that there’s some creating in my day tomorrow!

    This Journal is beautiful Becca.
What a lovely idea of having a place for noting things to be grateful for, we often feel low and this is a great way of staying positive and cheering ourselves up.
Having a beautiful wee book to doodle and sketch our creative thoughts and images is so inspiring too.
Much better than my plain old sketch book any day. I’d never thought of making it look so attractive on the outside too.
I’m off give my sketch book a make over now. tfsReplyCancel

    Becca,
Your gratitude journal is beautiful. Who wouldn’t feel grateful having something so lovely to write in. You remind us that if we have an attitude of gratefulness it is difficult to be negative about life. We have so many blessings each day if we will only take time to think about them. Writing them down would certainly be helpful to get you to that grateful attitude!

You always do such great work, thanks for posting. I just wanted to ask you how can I order the NEW Spellbinders dies and Justrite stamps that you have been using this year?ReplyCancel

I hope you don’t mind if I share another favorite . . .  This is one of the new tags dies – Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three.  I loved the lacy ends of the die so I used three to make a lacy circle.   Put together, they almost remind me of a doily.  I can tell you know that I’ll be reaching for this one possibly more than I should.
The scallops and half circle were made using Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles and Spellbinders Grand Circles.  I had the perfect sentiment in my retired pile to fit in that circular area, so I brought it out.  (It was almost too large for me to use).  Paired with cream, this soft powdery teal is another of my comfort colors.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Stampourri (Retired)
Paper: Bazzill, 365 Degrees – Pink Paislee
Ink: Ancient Page Dye Based Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three, Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles, Spellbinders Grand Circles, Making Memories Button, Ribbon, Pearls

Today is a two post day, so this evening some time I have a new reveal to share.

    Hi Becca,
Your card is so beautiful and the new release motif is stunning. I can’t wait to get me hands on this one! I especially love the way you use little bits of cutouts to create a new look. The background layer of scalloped circle is so suble that it just adds a hint of texture and the soft line but does not take away from the focal point of the card. Truly a great idea! As well, you always have such perfect finishing details.

Hi there!  I’m back with a card featuring one of the new Spellbinders die templates that I’ve fallen in love with.  Oops, I think I say that about every one but this is an amazing release and I guess it’s okay to be in love with all the new ones, right?  I picked a stunning sentiment from Quietfire Design called Flourish and Grow, that I knew would work well in the center.  I used die templates from Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Floral Doily Accents set.  Ahem, I think this one will be a staple in the collection!

I want to keep this short and sweet so I’m going to skip the instructions but as always a product list will follow.  By the way this is a 6″ x6″ card and rare in the fact that I matted with black paper.  The more I do that the more I love that look.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Quietfire Design – Flourish and Grow
Paper: Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Spellbinders Classic Circles LG, Spellbinders Grand Circles, Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks for stopping in sweet friends.  Be blessed!
