Hi there!  I’m back with a card featuring one of the new Spellbinders die templates that I’ve fallen in love with.  Oops, I think I say that about every one but this is an amazing release and I guess it’s okay to be in love with all the new ones, right?  I picked a stunning sentiment from Quietfire Design called Flourish and Grow, that I knew would work well in the center.  I used die templates from Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Floral Doily Accents set.  Ahem, I think this one will be a staple in the collection!

I want to keep this short and sweet so I’m going to skip the instructions but as always a product list will follow.  By the way this is a 6″ x6″ card and rare in the fact that I matted with black paper.  The more I do that the more I love that look.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Quietfire Design – Flourish and Grow
Paper: Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Spellbinders Classic Circles LG, Spellbinders Grand Circles, Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks for stopping in sweet friends.  Be blessed!

What a stunning card! Only you could place those two offset circles and get away with the offset by balancing with the bow. It is a triumph of layering just the right motif and then close colour co-ordination and an inspired stamp. Amazing!ReplyCancel

After this time, I promised I’ll retire the Double Play winnings – do any of you even remember it?  Yikes, I think the last name I picked might not have had the eight words, I haven’t heard back from her with the words.   I feel awful to promote blog candy and not give it way, so please peek in to see if you won.

Using Random.org I rolled and picked number 80 (yep, I’m too lazy to do the graphic today), and that matches up with Janet Castle.  Janet, reach out to me through my contact page with your address and the eight words.  After 24 hours I’ll retire the candy and save it for another time.

Back later on tonite with a new card!

I like your double play challenge, and i am up in the middle of the night at some point also, so I always get all the words, but for some reason this go round I missed the second word, and the last 2 were the same word. Something wasn’t right.

this is what I got…none of it made sense to me:
Light,_____, unknown, better, known, the, way, way

so please do not do away with them (double play) just figure out a way to do it. If I recall, the words used to go in order and they made sense.

    Hi Becca

so many people enjoy your double play. I come to your blog EVERY time you post – maybe thats why I miss the words if you don’t re-blog. I think I probably miss them because of the time difference – although i know there are a few time zones in the states – i sooo miss them.

But it seems there is plenty of support and plenty of people that join in – maybe people who have all the words should email you and you chose that way – guaranteed to find someone.

If you never offered another stitch of candy – it wouldn’t stop me from coming here because you give away each and every time you post a sensational card that you’ve produced.

This is the first time ever that I was able to get all the words. That in itself was a good feeling. Thanks for all the beautiful cards and projects you inspire us with. You know, that is the whole reason we come to your blog anyway.ReplyCancel

Hi there, I know it will be hard to believe, but I worked ahead to have the tutorial ready for the Nosegay I designed.  (By the way, stick with me, Double Play winner announced at the bottom of this post).  Many of you have waited patiently for the snowflake tutorial, and I apologize that my life encountered such crisis that I was not able to get to it.  Never fear, I will, when time allows.  In the meantime – here are the steps I went through to make and assemble the nosegay!  Enjoy!!

Okay, I know we’ll have a winner this time.  I used random.org and it rolled up #70 which matches up to Trudy.  Trudy, please reach out to me through my contact page to claim your goodies and give me your addy.  If I’ve not heard from you by 5am on Friday, I’ll roll for the next person.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today.

Becca, The nosegay is beautiful. Sadly I don’t have any type of spellbinders and I probably won’t any time soon. Money is very tight here, but on the up side, I have begun going through boxes in order to organize my scrap book supplies and sewing and crafting items. It has been like Christmas morning when I stumble across items that I had forgotten I even purchased. I will be making do with the items I have and using them to my best abilities. I made four cards today from found items, not bad! Love your site, you inspire me!
