Amazing Paper Grace February 2021 Die of the Month - Bella Diamante - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=36841

For this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month, I’ve gone back to my elegant roots.  I love the feminine and romantic lilt of a filigree die with lots of options – so that’s exactly what I designed for this month.  Did you notice, I’m adding a new shape to the line-up and today – it’s an excellent addition to the stash!  We have a little bit of inspiration for you today while we introduce the Amazing Paper Grace February 2021 Die of the Month – Bella Diamante.

I had to dig back in my mind to remember the initial inspiration, but in my collecting I came across a gold embossed book cover that had a set of scrolls in each corner.  I loved that it had so much open space in the center and I could tick off about five uses of such a die.  Bella Diamante is a 5 x 7 card front, with several element layers and rims to use as inlays.  These multiple rims and elements will allow for both A2 and A7 cards. Elegance reigns supreme with the ability to create shaped cards,  framed cards, or simply embellish with class.

My Project Today using Bella Diamante

As you know, I love making cards but I also love making little gifts that match in ensemble form to give away.  That usually means making some kind of card and some kind of box.  For today’s card, I wanted to cut the die so that I could size it squarely – it’s one of my favorite things to do.  I simply snipped the die cut motif in half and overlapped it in the middle.  The ribbon hides the join and no one is the wiser!

I did the same with the box.  I love the corners and I simply cut them out separately and applied them to the box.

Designer Tip:  Scope out how you can cut your dies to give you different elements to use.  This gives you so many unexpected and lovely uses to look forward to!

Good morning sweet friends.  Today I’m revealing a new Die of the Month!  The word that comes to mind is romantic.  It is sweetly elegant and is classically Amazing Paper Grace.  Today, welcome the  Amazing Paper Grace February 2021 Die of the Month – Bella Diamante.  As always, this A7 sized medley of dies is full of rims and smaller A2 sized pieces so that you have the best of both worlds.

Some links may be affiliate links, buying products through these links generates a commission at no cost to you.

For my first sample, I wanted a sweet pink composition.  It’s so classic and lends itself to any sentiment you choose to put inside.  This one is for a little young lady in my life, so I adorned with the whimsical flower in the set.  I simply wet the flower and burnished the petals to give them dimension.

Inspiration for Bella Diamante

Believe it or not, the inspiration for this die was a book cover pressed in gold.  It had four decorative corners and I loved how it implied a diamond in the center.  The symmetry on this die will make it useful for flaps, boxes, and other inspiration you’ll see throughout the month.  Since I don’t have any diamonds in my stash – I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to add one.  I love the room it gives for a sentiment.

Today on the inspiration video, I’ll show you how to make a card using Bella Diamante:

Many have asked about the adhesive used in the video.  It’s one of my favorite new products by 3L and it makes my life easy because the thin cut strips fit into the tiniest areas ever.  I’m providing a  link because so many have asked:  https://amzn.to/3oWNIrO

Bella Diamante Samples

I love a landscape-oriented card and Bella Diamante effortlessly turns onto its side for a lovely card.

As always, I try to design so that the elements can be used for a box.  After all, we are gift-givers and most of the time the card comes with a token.  I love having that token appear in a matching box.  The lid here is made with the “shadow” piece and you can easily see how all of the different rims are used for embellishment.

Hi Mary, I thank you for your kind words every month. I offer something different on each social media area to thank the users that live there. I’m not a huge fan of Facebook, but my users group is a haven that I sincerely love. It is a place of encouragement and kindness. Even if you don’t like FB I hope you’ll consider just visiting the group. There are 12 or 13 of us and not everyone who does the tutorials has youTube. Lots of great tutorials are there. We do most of our Die of the Month tutorials on our blogs.

    Hi, Becca,
All these projects are absolutely gorgeous! In your video you cut a really narrow foam tape from a sheet (1/16”?). Where can we get it? I made quite a few sleighs at Christmas and that would have been really handy. Can’t wait to see all the inspiration in store for us from your design team!

I love dies that have more than one use and I sure have plans for this one.  Today I created a romantic, tall box that will be perfect to house a gift that’s going out.  All that’s left is to create the matching card and I have a stunning presentation :-)

The detachable flap included in the set feels to me like the powerhouse element.  It’s decorative and has a shadow and I’m already planning more things to make!

My Box using the Mini 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox

I took the decorated mailbox flap and cut it four times and adhered it to the outside of the box.

Designer Tip:  The mailbox flap has a perforation.  Let there be an inch hangover and simply tuck that fold in over the top of your box for a finished presentation.
