Hello there blog friends!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I have another card to share today – it’s been eons since I posted a birthday card and this one will be stashed away for a sweet little friend. The inspiration was this sweet silhouette stamp of little girls from Our Daily Bread Designs – it is called Little Girls. I started out with a card base and added a matted panel; the bottom of the panel is shaped by one of the fabulous new border dies – Spellbinders™ A2 Scalloped Border One. Then I added a panel from Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels Twenty Seven and layered Spellbinders™ Marvelous Squares on top. To balance off the right side of the card I added a corner piece from Spellbinders™ Asian Accents. Labels Twenty Seven has some slits on two sides which makes it sooo nice to thread ribbon through without obscuring the edges, so I added a poufy bow and finished off with a couple of pearls.

Still traveling so I’m limited on cardstock colors :-) Cream is my go to color – thank goodness I brought some along!
Hugs, friends!! See you later!!

Sweet blog friends, what a wonderful conversation we had about lighting. More people use a light tent than I thought, but many of you are veterans of natural lighting. I think it doesn’t matter as long as you get the good picture :-) At home my light tent is set up in a closet in my sewing room – all I have to do turn around from my table, open the door, snap some shots and I’m off. But, I’m going to scout for a place where I can get some natural shots too. So on to my cards for today . . . when I saw the 2013 Valentines Day Stamp Set from Quietfire Designs, I absolutely swooned – they are timeless and will be in style today as well as years from now. It was a treat to sit down and play with them because valentines cards are an open invitation to use lace, silk, frills, flowers and pearls to glam a card up, right? The first uses one of my very favorite sentiments, I have this in another long wide stamp and this one is short and tight. In fact, this one fits perfectly into a variety of Spellbinders, so here’s what I did.

I used one of the new embossing folder called Spellbinders ™ Framed Petite Labels. To give it a little bit of color I swiped my pink ink pad across the raised dots then used a dauber to highlight some of the other details. This sweet vertical piece I used comes from the new Spellbinders ™ Ornate Squares and I turned it up on end just to create some detail. To stack on top of that I took the center piece from Spellbinders™ Twisted Metal Tags and Accents and stamped my sentiment.

I picked up a little $1.00 frame from AC Moore and decided to create a little gift. To get started, I simply glued design paper to the opening. So that it wasn’t just a plain frame, I created an insert the size of the inside of the frame and edged all four sides with Spellbinders™ On The Edge (love that petite scallop). The petite flowers are from Spellbinders™ Bitty Blossoms and the swirly foliage is from Spellbinders™ Foliage Two. I cut out two hearts from this fabulous Webster Pages paper and speared them on my pearl pins.

Oh my Becca, you amaze me!! What an adorable card, just love everything about it.
Love this card for a little boy, pearls, bows, and all. LOL This is the cutest.
This would make a beautiful birthday card or a Mother’s Day card for a mother of a precious little boy. I can not begin to tell you how much I enjoy your lovely cards and Amazing Paper Grace. You are truly THE BEST.
What a wonderful card! It is charming!! I think it will delight anyone special enough to receive it. Beautifully done, Becca!
Another gorgeous card here Becca. I love these silouet stamps here, they really looks great and sooo pretty. I´ve seen on many blogs out there, that they seems to be pretty in for the moment from all compagnies, and I admit, I really like the look of these all black silouettes on the colored backgrouns and I have seen some really awesome ones, and I certainly love both this and the last one you shared yesterday for the girls too. Awesome work here again hun.
I truly agree it is always great to have a “stash” of cards on hand, however I never to seem to get ahead except I keep quite a few of my signature Sympathy cards as I always feel you need to get them out in a timely manner. However, I tend to do my birthday ones specific to the person. I have to keep my birthday book up to date.
Love this card along with the Little Girl one you did the other day. I don’t do a lot of stamping but love the silhoutte of the kids. I use a Cricut cartridge for my silhouttes.
Hope you have a delightful, crafty day.
God Bless.

really sweet. I love your creations
Such a beautiful card. Again, I love silhouettes, and this one stamped on that lacey background is especially beautiful. I really like the hexagons in the background, too!
Leave it to you Becca to create such a beautiful card from this new set. It is just gorgeous!
Tooo cute! Love the little boy but also like the background paper and the dies you used. Edna
I love this card, so pretty, I would never think of these designs, wish I had your brain!!!!
Hey Becca. I make mini albums from coffee sleeves
and was wondering if you could design a die cut to
Use to cut out the paper. Right now I trace around
them but would be so much easier with a die cut. Also
mini tags for them would be great. Thank you. I’m
sure they would be something other crafters would
love to have.
Sincerely
Debbie. Carney
It’s SOOOOO PRETTY BECCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I LOVE that background paper too!!!!!!! :) Makes for a VERY INTERESTING CARD with the dies you’ve chosen too! :)
This is so beautiful!
Hey, it’s great! I have 5 grandsons, from very young to college-age, and believe it or not, they look forward to one of grandma’s homemade cards, as do their parents, too. Boy cards are much harder so I’m always scouting for ideas. Love the image on this one.
Both the boy and girl cards are SO sweet! Just beautiful.
Hi Becca
loving these silhouette figures and you make them into such beautiful cards. Fabulous xxx
Love the vintage silhouettes and your wonderful card with the layers, die cuts and that fabulous bow!
This the cutest thing…as others have stated, I love the layers and the silhouettes! This would also make a wonderful baby card.
I think this is so adorable, you come up with such wonderful ideas. I can just imagine how beautiful your house must be decorated. God bless…. Denice
Great silhouette stamp and I agree, tor card should show your style – soho with it, girl!! Its beautiful just like you!! Hugs, Kelly
Hi Becca, As always your card is amazing. I just love it. thanks for sharing with all of us
I only have one regret, that your card club is so expensive for most of us. I would love to join, but it’s just too much. Perhaps you could have smaller club also, for about half the price? Just saying. I think you would have more members that could afford it.
I do enjoy your beautiful cards and that you share this with us.
Bless you for all you do.
Charlene
Becca: I don’t know how you continue to out do yourself, but you did it again….WOW
ahhh! so cute… beautiful x
Hi Becca,
I would love to hear more about the beautiful pins you add to your cards.
Do you make them yourself or purchase them somewhere and if you purchase them, can you please tell me where. But I would love to learn
how to make them. They are such an elegant element.
Thanks
