    Congrats to Patty!ReplyCancel

Before the holidays are too far behind, I wanted to share two lovely cards that were sent to me by fellow stampers.  The first is from a wonderful woman by the name of Elaine who frequents my blog.  Her card is simply stunning and it honestly takes your breath away in real life.  Oh Elaine, I received your card!!  If you could leave a comment and give us all the deets on this lovely creation – I’m sure many would appreciate it.

The second card is from my dear friend Janine at 2bKrafty.  This tree is so gorgeous and sparkly!  I didn’t realize it, but I have that Penny Black  stamp in my stash and I’ve never made it look as fabulous as this.

Thank you ladies!!!  I was only to happy to find a home for these lovely cards!

Well my goodness! I was so surprised to see my card on your blog! You asked for the deets – they are embarrassingly simple – they had to be for as many as I needed to send out.

    The card is 5″ X 7″.

The background was from “Love to Stamp” – it’s a large frame that I’d had for ages but hadn’t known what to do with it. The center stamp is from Inkadinkado.

Both were stamped with VersaMark and embossed in Detail Gold ep on Sandstone Sparkles-Crushed Leaf Cover stock from Paper Zone.

The center stamp was mounted on black glossy and then mounted on the frame stamp. The card portion was a gold sparkle paper also from Paper Zone. They make so many different color choices – I used a green, blue, red and gold (but all were heavily starkled in gold) to put some variety in the cards going out.

And that’s it – very very simple.

I am so blessed that you enjoyed it
    Hugs – ElaineReplyCancel

I looked up from what I’m working on to notice that it’s not afternoon anymore!!  Sorry!!  Yes, it is time for a winner.  As I mentioned, the name was picked by random org and I’ll look forward to hearing from the winner within 48 hours with an email and address to claim their prize.

Before I show the number, let me take a moment to say that the entry comments for the blog candy were the best ever!!  I have enjoyed reading them every day and hearing what you’re not going to do.  I was on the fence about this, but as I’m approaching my 1 year blogaversary (I hope I spelled that right), when I get to that point, I’m going to have the blog published into a coffee table book.  I know that sounds weird, but I just want to preserve the wonderful comments, and the happenings of the year.  I’ve been looking at Blurb.com where you can just import your whole blog in and out comes a book!

Okay, enough footdragging…here’s the number selected by random.org.

Lourae, send me an email through my contact page with your address and I’ll get these puppies in the mail to you!!

Congratulations Lourae – a very worthy not indeed!

And…dear Becca if you have the blog printed any chance of buying a copy or does that call copyright issues etc. into play?

I can’t wait to see what you do with your second (and equally record breaking I bet) year.

Early congrats…hmmm…what does one get for a stellar blogger as an anniversary present…have to find that wedding chart for anniversaries. So are you traditional? or modern? Bet I can guess – lol!

Hugs and best wishes – JeanReplyCancel

    Congrats Lourae.

    Becca,
I never heard of printing out a blog. It is a neat way to have a record of all your card creations, too.ReplyCancel

  • jami {sgtStamper}January 3, 2009 - 6:23 am

    Congrats Lourae!

I think it’s an awesome idea! I plan on doing a family yearbook each year starting this year. I’ve had the link to Blurb on my desktop for a few months now! I’m going to order extra yearbooks each year for each of the kids and give them to them when they move out. I have boxes of photos from my childhood, but everything is digital now, so I think this will work.
