Introducing Glorious Glimmer Elegant Square by Becca Feeken and Spellbinders - see complete supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=34358
All that glimmers may well be gold!  Hi there, today we are sharing with you a wonderful new tool – Spellbinders Glimmer Foil System and I’m introducing a new collection, Glorious Glimmer Classic Plates.  In a nutshell, it’s an accessory to your die cut machine that will let you add foil motifs to materials from paper to vellum to leather to wood to fabric and more.  The machine employs heat and pressure along with metal stamps (Glimmer Plates) to transfer foil to a surface – like cardstock.  The Glimmer Plates work just like rubber stamps and in addition to transferring foil, they can transfer ink, they can letterpress and they can deep emboss.  Some of the sets feature both plates and dies!

Adding layers of gold or colored foil motifs creates an extra dimension to the sweet cards you send in life. This is a game changer for elegant cards!  Crafters are finally able to get that professional printer look, but at home and for way less than engaging a printer to do foil.  I like to think that the glimmer plates will make instant backgrounds and borders, but now there’s a new thing to include in your pretty layers!

About Glorious Glimmer

I jumped at the opportunity to create a set of classic, never go out of style plates for the new Glimmer Machine.  My newest collection, Glorious Glimmer Classic Plates have that sweet calligraphic look that has been popular throughout the ages.  Whether used as a background, framed or layered up with a sweet die cut peeking out from underneath, these plates have options that will allow you to highlight them beautifully in any project.

Join us for our blog hop where we will show you some inspiration on crisply transferred foil that spans from a clean look to a more involved elegant look!!  Also today we have the pleasure of introducing a new Creative Team Member.  Please welcome Ewelina Panka – you have seen and have swooned over her work before.  She creates classic beauty on her —-> Blog as well as on her —-> Facebook and on her —-> Instagram.  Please be sure to subscribe to her in each of these areas and watch as she dazzles with her fine eye for detail as well as her magnificent flowers!

My Projects For Today:

First up is GLP-031 – Glorious Glimmer Elegant Square

Here is what the plate actually looks like.

Introducing Glorious Glimmer Elegant Squareby Becca Feeken and Spellbinders - see complete supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=34358

This is one of my favorite images, it reminds me of leaves and is oh, so elegant.  I simply took a circle die and traced around each of the mounds so that I could lift my shape up.  This is a perfect shape to layer with one of my intricate squarish dies – so that’s what I did.  Then I took the inner piece and made it a frame so that it could accommodate a sweet sentiment from Quietfire Design called Every Day is a Journey.  It’s that easy to add glimmer to all the layers :-)

Introducing Glorious Glimmer Elegant Square by Becca Feeken and Spellbinders - see complete supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=34358

For this card, instead of glimmering it, I simply embossed it.  The Glimmer Plates give a very deep and pronounced emboss that seems even more detailed than 3D embossing folders.  For this I simply used to motif as a background element – I love using the plates this way!!

Second up is GLP-040 – Glimmer Place Card Mini Topper

This particular plate works with my Filigree Booklet die to make a book cover or mini card.  There are actually dies with this set of Glimmer Plates that will allow you to make a quick and simple place card.  Today, I made simple baby cards by glimmering the background and adding some precut elements.

Availability:

There is much more inspiration in store today and for the weeks to come.  Just pop down the list of Creative Team Members to see more!

P.S.  I am still displaced from the Hurricane that hit Florida and that means, that the dies I use for prize winners are in Florida.  There are roughly five people waiting on dies.  I have not forgotten you, please bear with me :-)

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for 11/2018 - Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using this Spellbinders Die can be found at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p= 34306
Good morning!!  Welcome to our inaugural blog hop of the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month.  Since all of this is brand new, today we’re here to feed you some inspiration for the many ways and colors to use the Die of the Month as well as to give you the skinny on the club.  Moreover, be sure to stay tuned until the end of the post when I’ll point you to the next inspiration stop in our blog hop.

What is the Die of the Month?
The Die of the Month is an exclusive die, crème de la crème, designed by me that are unlike previous collections.  These are the special ones, the ones that have waited for a special occasion!  What better way than to take you on a year-long ride of unexpected surprises!

Where is the Die of the Month available?
The Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month is available through Spellbinders.  You can buy it ——-> HERE.

How much is the Die of the Month?
It’s a large die and subscription to the club is $30.00 per month and includes US Shipping.

What’s so special about the Die of the Month?
These are dies that are chock full of extra rims and options!  Because of this, you’ll have a huge amount of flexibility in creating more than one creation from the same set.  It’s exclusive and furthermore, it’s limited, so you won’t see it anywhere else and it’s available until the subscription quantities are gone.

When is the Die of Month available?
The die of the month is available on the first of every month in quantities to cover subscriptions.  That means when it is gone, it’s gone :-)

Why have a Die of the Month?
When most of my dies come out they are themed collections of 12 to 14 dies.  These are the dies that are more specialized that I didn’t want to build an entire collection around – they are definitely the elegant style I love, and as a result I’ve built extra functionality and thought into these sets.  When looking at the entire year, I’ve curated dies that are unique and have some of my favorite formats, shapes and intricacies.

You all have spoken loud and clear to say that you have a monthly budget and that you want to be able to get my dies all year long without breaking the bank.  Well, here you go.  Don’t worry, collections are not going away but streaming them out on a monthly basis, you’ll see one once a month and they are delightful on the budget.

Join other Gracelets
Once you’re in, start creating!!  We can’t wait to see what you make with these exclusive dies – be the first to post your creation on Instagram using the hashtag #AmazingPaperGraceClubKit

Why post?  Certainly, you’ll be showing me how you use the die so that I can fine-tune upcoming months to fit your groove and you’ll be inspiring everyone who looked at the die and didn’t know all the possibilities – it’s a community thing!

Still need more info?  Be sure you read all the Frequently Asked Questions ——-> HERE.

Here’s My Die of the Month Make:

This month I’m highlighting the Christmas Village Vignette Frame Die.  If you look closely you’ll notice that it looks a whole lot like the popular 3D Vignette Grand Cabinet.  That’s no accident because I like to make things that work together and add value to what’s already in your stash.  No worries though, you don’t have to have 3D Vignettes to use this die.

This is one of the first cards I made with the set and for that reason, I am highlighting it today!  I’ve used the new Spellbinders Glimmer Machine to delicately place the unique outline of the die onto the card.  Wow!  This made it one of the easiest makes ever and furthermore, I think the gold makes a statement.  The fragile and intricate look of the frame do all the work and it was oh, so, easy to use the sentiment die as a focal point.
Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for 11/2018 - Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using this Spellbinders Die can be found at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p= 34306
If you already have the Glimmer machine, turn on and heat machine to ready then…

  1. First of all, simply trim your gold foil to match the size of the frame.
  2. Place your die face up on the base of the Glimmer Machine.
  3. Next, add your foil shiny side down on top of the frame.
  4. On top, add your favorite cardstock – here I’ve used Neenah Classic Crest Smooth, Natural White, 80lb
  5. To complete your foiling sandwich on the base, add both Glimmer Shims on top
  6. Finally, run through, remove foil and voila!  As a result, you now have a lovely sparkling background frame!

I am so happy for you and your success, without a doubt, God must be smiling on you and blessing you. I know you have had many trial and tribulations so I am sure you sometimes wonder but it is only through these hard times that we grow stronger in our Father. I am praying for you, especially for all to come together quickly with your home life and to return to normal. We went through something similar years ago and it was one of the hardest times of our life because we were dealing with so many other problems at the same time. There were times when I praised God with tears streaming down my face and times I was so angry I couldn’t think straight. I had to learn to trust Him totally and completely and goodness that is so hard to let it all go and just give it all to Him. My husband and I must be very stubborn people because it took us a long long time to learn… LOL… Sending love and hugs your way… keeping you in my thoughts and prayers… Denice : )ReplyCancel

Hi Becca your die for the month is gorgeous !
It is realy sad though that international followers
of you and your blog can’t join in the excitement
of your special, especially since I have most of your
    die collections .
The spellbinders dies we purchase here in Aussie are
not costing this huge postage to our suppliers who we
    shop with .
I like many others wish that Spellbinders whould look
into doing something about the cost ……….
You are Amazing Becca keep up the good work

Hi Becca! So excited that you have this opportunity available to you. Your dies are always gorgeous and I have quite a few already. However, I can’t join the club. I’m only able to save up and purchase dies occasionally. So this means when dies like this month’s selection comes up, instead of getting it or saving up and knowing Spellbinders will have it in stock later on, now I can only look at beautiful samples online. I’m disappointed in this decision but understand you have to do what is right for you.
On another note, I am so sorry to hear you were affected by Hurricane Michael. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you are able to get back on your feet soon.ReplyCancel

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club
Oh my goodness, when I tell you that I’ve been working on something in the background, have I ever!!  This has been more than a year in the making and today is the day!  Today is the day where I launch my new Die of the Month Club!!  Eeeeeek!!  I’m dealing with a lot of real-life stuff trying to find my way back from my house being a casualty in Hurricane Michael.  This is a breath of fresh air!  It’s just what I needed to genuinely put a smile on my face today.   So let me introduce you to a new program over at SpellbindersThe Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club!

We design and test dies for a long time before they get into your hands.  When brainstorming my first design, I thought how lovely to make something fresh for those new to my tribe.  BUT, then again, how can I make something that will work with what’s already in your stash?  Well, I’ve gotten emails begging for more templates to work with 3D Vignettes — and even more begging for something Christmas.  This is my second Kit Club and if I had a dime for how many emails I’ve received to bring it back, I’d have some change!  Your wish, is my command, it’s back and it’s within your budget!!

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club
My first die of the month is called – the Christmas Village Vignette Frame Die.  This design is essentially a “faux” Vignette design.  On its own, it’s a frame — however, it will fit into the 3D Vignettes template if you already have it.  These dies are limited and available until the supply runs out.  My creative team and I are having a Blog Hop on Sunday, November 4th at 9:00 am Central Time.  We’d love to share some of our inspiration with you and explain why a Die of the Month Club.  I also want to share my process for curating these special, exclusive dies.

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club – First Look

In the meantime wanna see what I created right out of the box?  There is a whole post here chock full of details, showing three cards I made as well as a video tutorial I filmed to lead you through your first card —-> CLICK for INSPIRATION!!

I have a picture or two to share here, but you’ll get the full breadth of this lovely die over on the Spellbinders Blog.  Please be sure to leave a comment if you pop over.  We’re eager to hear if we’ve earned your stamp of approval on the first die in this program :-)

Have questions about the program – these FAQ’s will have you headed in the right direction!
post-header-bottom

Thank you for stopping by today.  I’m still a vagabond from the hurricane but this is a great joy to me and I didn’t want to postpone it.  That’s what life is about, isn’t it — grabbing a smile, a good feeling, or creating when you can?  Please do me a favor — I design from the heart and wholeheartedly listen to what you say.   Because of that, please be sure to leave some feedback here or on the Spellbinders Blog.  Also when you join the Club, we rely on your feedback to make sure we’re producing the right kinds of dies, so please be sure to leave a review!

Looking forward to your posts on Instagram with #AmazingPaperGraceClubKit

Further to my post yesterday-Regarding account set up, “Do you have an account?” they mean a CLUB account. Fortunately, a very helpful Bianca at Spellbinders clarified this and suggested I use the same password as my Spellbinders account to avoid confusion. Once over that hurdle, smooth sailing…whew!ReplyCancel

    Hello Becca,

Glad to hear that you are slowly recovering from the damage caused by the hurricane. I know from first hand experience how traumatizing it can be but you just have to keep a positive attitude no matter how difficult it seems.

I’ve just signed up for you Die of the Month. Love your dies and looking forward to the monthly offerings.

My only request is that you start offering larger dies.

    Have a wonderful day.

  • Samantha BoothNovember 1, 2018 - 3:26 pm

I would have loved to have subscribed to this kit as I adore your dies but shipping to Australia was $64USD for just one for set (which is completely ludicrous – I receive parcels from the US regularly that are much heavier and larger than one set of dies and shipping is never that high) which makes the kit inaccessible to those of us outside of the US. Becca, I realise this is Spellbinders shipping charges and not set by yourself but if you are able to shed any light and/or exert any influence over the shipping charges to make your kit more accessible, I would really appreciate it. Many thanks xxReplyCancel

    • Noelene ApapNovember 7, 2018 - 1:23 am

      Hi Samantha,
I am in Australia as well. I too was mortified when I saw the cost of shipping directly through Spellbinders. I got around it by going through ustooz.com She is a freight forwarder & easy to use. I have used them a lot in the past. Look it up & send her a message. She tell you shipping costs. I like to purchase multiple items from other stores & consolidate my shipping to make it worth my while. Other option is to use their free storage service & have multiple months shipped together.ReplyCancel

Having purchased all of your previous 3D Vingnette dies, this looks exciting, however this quickly turns to disappointment when you see Spellbinders is charging $64 postage to send this to Australia which after conversion rates comes to almost $90 just in postage. There must be a better way to offer these dies to make them affordable to everyone not just customers in the USA.ReplyCancel
