Hi there crafty friends!  It’s the beginning of another month and as you know, lots of exciting things happen at APG throughout the month.  I’m thrilled to be introducing another sweet Guest Designer to the Amazing Paper Grace Blog.  She’s a veteran of the paper crafting community and has done stints on many design teams.  She has a very vintage style, commanding the elements we all know and love – ribbon, flowers, gingham, ephemera and more.  Please welcome our August 2019 Guest Designer – Ginny Nemchak.

She’s kicking off her month by sharing a creation made using one of my well loved dies from the stash – Spellbinders Tallulah Frill.   During the month please be sure to take a peek at her blog every week of August for a new creation using Amazing Paper Grace dies.

Mental note:  Don’t forget, tomorrow I’ll show you inspiration for the new August Die of the Month.  Can’t wait?  Peek here!!

I’m Ginny Nemchak and I live in a sweet little town out in the country with my husband of 26 years. I’m convinced that there is no better living than out on a dirt road….it’s a very blessed life I have.

I’ve been crafting my whole life in some form…but my creative outlet is now focused on paper. I enjoy all types…layouts…mini albums…cards. I have recently discovered a new love for altered art and digital collage.  I enjoy all things vintage and shabby chic. Anytime I can add ribbon and flowers and buttons I am a happy girl!

We were so blessed to have Karan Gerber as the Amazing Paper Grace Guest Designer for July and what a month it has been!!  She crafted up a host of sweet, romantic projects using the Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Treasures Collection by Spellbinders. Her creations blew our minds – in fact, many are on my “must make” list.

Karan is an ever-present encourager in the paper crafting community and always there with kind words on Facebook and Instagram.  We were amazed at the depth and creativity of her projects and hope you will stay tuned on her blog for what’s next.  She’s never far away as she teaches classes and is a fixture with many leading paper craft companies.  It’s been a pleasure working with her this month and I am posting her social media again so that you can stay connected with her.

Finally, today I wanted to recap the amazing projects she shared with us!

Creating with Karan Gerber

Karan soothed us all month with a sweet lavender palette.  She made an amazing creation with Spellbinders Floral Tiara Topper by creating an actual tiara.  So sweet!

When you look at all the detail she built into to this gorgeous oval card made using Spellbinders Bella Luce Oval, I just swoon.  She’s a mixed media artisan and the coloring, layers and spatters of texture speak volumes!

And as an encore, look at her masterful use of Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers V that grace all of her creations here.  She’s used a favorite – Spellbinders Cannetille Rectangles – and the depth she created behind the layers is exquisite.

A heartfelt thanks to Karan for sharing her amazing palette with us during July.  Her shabby, layered, mixed media style has been a welcome inspiration!

Stay tuned as tomorrow on August first we welcome a new APG Guest Designer.  Also, on August 2nd I introduce a new Die of the Month.  In the meantime, thank you for visiting and clicking in to see what we’re up to!

Amazing Paper Grace July 2019 Die of the Month by Spellbinders - Graceful Concertina - learn about this die at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=35128
Hi Friends, today the Creative Team and I are showing a little bit more inspiration for the July Die of the Month.  It’s a die that has tabs on the side so that you can link each panel together to make a concertina card.  Don’t stop there though, there’s much that can be made.   Cut the side tabs off to make a votive candle holder or a box or a book cover.

My Project Today:

I’m simply intrigued with the filigree on the die and the rounded top – it’s so unique and delicate.  I decided to make some little envelopes with the main die.  They are made exactly like the box in the video —–>HERE  except, only one fold.  It makes a petal-type of envelope and inside I nestled a little notecard.  Also the basket :-)  By now you must know that I love little favors and baskets and this makes up into a sweet little basket using four of the main dies.
