Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Inspiration

I always wanted to do stained glass with real glass!  Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?  Now it’s easy to create with dies and paper!  It’s amazing how you can give the same outline to a hand full of different artists and each will come up with a totally different look.

Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Collection

The Stained Glass Floral Bouquet Collection is made up of 7 different die sets.  They are sized for layering and include small designs all the way up to A7 designs with different frames that can make both A2 and A7 designs.  The collection boasts shadow dies for each set so that whenever you don’t want a multicolor design, you can layer your “die-cut leading” onto one color.  The hallmark of the collection is a sweet stained glass flower and shadow in almost every set.  As a result, that gives you a background die and a central motif for each set.

Attention “technique junkies” this collection is sweetly serenading you to try your favorite technique with the leading and the shards.

Here are ours:

  1. Fill each opening with a different color paper and add Glossy Accents.
  2. Ink on a hombre background before resetting your shards.
  3. Add a smidge of color in each opening with a Copic Marker.
  4. Use a different color leading – white, black, gold, silver.
  5. Build up tall leading with 4 layers and adhesive in between each.

My Projects for Today

I’m using S5-448 – Radiant Oval

For my project today, I’ve made two cards.  For the first, I’ve done traditional stained glass which emphasizes the leading.  It was a perfect opportunity to create some ink blends.  Once the ink was laid down on the paper, I then cut with the die.  I just love bringing romantic color to these motifs!!

For my second card, I went with two colors to keep things simple.  If you are pressed for time, this creates a fabulous look without any coloring!

Designers Tip: For an ink blended ombre, it’s easiest to create your ombre on flat paper then die cut  from the flat paper.

Amazing Paper Grace March 2021 Die of the Month - 3D Mini Vignette Floral Mason Jar - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=37003
Good morning crafty friends! Today I’m participating in the March 2021 Spellbinders Clubs Blog Hop which features so many lovely samples and inspiration from an amazing group of bloggers.  This month I’m sharing another sample made with the Amazing Paper Grace March 2021 Die of the Month – 3D Mini Vignette Floral Mason Jar.  It’s one of my new favorite dies and I keep dreaming up occasions to use it.

Some links may be affiliate links, buying products through these links generates a commission at no cost to you.

If you arrived here from Tina Smith, you are in the right place and I have the entire link list for the blog hop below so that you won’t get lost.  Be sure to scan down through the entire post because there’s a giveaway to be had and the details are below.

Amazing Paper Grace March 2021 Die of the Month - 3D Mini Vignette Floral Mason Jar - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=37003
This time around with the Mason jar I limited myself to one of the three flower types included in the set.  They layer up so easily and look great with a touch of ink swirled onto the edges.  For my first go at this Mason Jar, I put clear acetate on the front and back, making it see-through.  This time I decided to put the acetate only on the front side so that I could showcase some sweet design paper.  To get the bouquet to be somewhat balanced, I simply threaded a flower or two through the slit in the mason jar lid.

Because I love opportunities to pair a card with a box or basket in a gift ensemble, I created a little basket for some goodies.  It’s just big enough for a couple of homemade cookies or a few gourmet coffee k-cups.  The basket is too easy but I lined it with the same design paper and I love using the frilly lace piece as the basket edge.

Amazing Paper Grace March 2021 Die of the Month - 3D Mini Vignette Floral Mason Jar - detailed information at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=36979
It doesn’t take many steps past February to begin to ache for the stirrings of spring.  Blooming flowers are the earliest sign and we have something to get you started.  Today I’m introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for March 2021, Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar.

Imagine kicking rocks as you walk down a sweet rural road, on one of the first days the weather hints that the seasons are starting to change.  You pick wildflowers and rush home to put them into a jar of water to keep them perky for the days to come.  Yes, that really happens and that was my inspiration for pulling together the Mason Jar Die Set.

Mason Jar Details

This easy to assemble mason jar can contain anything, however today it holds layered flowers.  This flat side look is just like a real bouquet.  Glue them or layer them with foam tape to make a dramatic statement.  The mason jar can be left solid or cut like a frame for a shaker card the stems are simply threaded through each lid to secure them for arrangement.  If you’re partial to flat cards, use the filigree band with two brads to hold your stems! This makes a lovely card front bouquet, complete with stems.

There are 16 dies included in the Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar

My Project Today using Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar

I think the mason jar is perfect to celebrate holidays and today, I’m showing the jar made up for two different holidays.  For my first project, I made the mason jar into a box that holds chocolate-covered almonds.  It’s just the right size – not too big and not too small.  Finally, I decided to use acetate and now you can see all the different colors inside.  If you are in a hurry don’t cut the aperture and simply make a solid jar.

Yes!!  I’m showing Christmas too!!  I took the  Jar and used it with the Amazing Paper Grace November 2018 Die of the Month and I think it’s so, so cute!!

Designer Tip:  To size clear acetate for this die, simply cut 1\8″ larger than the squarish jar insert.

WOUW again this month you just hit the head of the nail here and created such a beauty here Becca. I love your little box here today, it really give the reciever a little extra to keep, when the goodies are gone and will look gorgeous on any ones desk, that´s for sure. I love your way of thinking, when you design these amazing dies, and your team certainly know, how to get the best of them too.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,

Your blog was the first one I ever read, and I have loved your work for years. Amazing is an absolute requirement in the name of this die set! I love the creativity behind the dies and all the creativity that lies ahead when crafters get their hands on these beauties.

I love the treat container and the snow globe in a jar just makes me smile. I am going to start saving my pennies for this set. I absolutely love to decorate the dining room table for all the seasons and holidays and think that these charming little bouquets would be so much fun to create for that purpose!ReplyCancel
