You guessed it, it is Impression-Obsession Week at Stampers Dream.  Michelle has stocked her store with new IO Winter 2009 images that are in plenty of time to color up for Christmas.  I just adore the images and all the detail;  the artist’s shading makes them a cinch to color up and the shading makes it look I worked really hard to get depth into the picture.  I made my card with the Winter House image.  It reminds me of a snowy day with big thick socks on, sipping a cup of hot chocolate and not having to go outside, lol :)   I colored the image with a combination of Tombow markers and watercolor pencils.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Impression-Obsession
Paper:  Making Memories – Fa La La, The Paper Company
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx and Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Ribbon, Prima Flower, Martha Stewart Border Punch, EK Success Border Punch, Brad

There’s a lot of IO goodness out blogland this week.  Be sure to check out Silke and Michelle today and here’s what’s in store for the rest of the week:

Thursday: Denise , Laurie , Becca , and Michelle

Friday: Tosha , Silke , Amy and Michelle

Interested in blog candy?  To celebrate reaching 200,000 hits, Michelle is offering some goodies you should pop over and see.  Here is her post with Blog Candy.

That is just what I requested. Your using markers less expensive than Copic. Thanks so much. It inspires me to buy some. Also I think ODB Designs should be giving you a sales commission because you made me and I think a lot of other people loyal customers. They have the greatest stamps and fast service. I liked the Stamper’s Dream stamps as well. Next time I’ll give them a try. Thanks so much for listening.ReplyCancel

Hugs friends, I spent most of the day cleaning my kitchen.  Yes, it was that bad.  As a reward I sat down and made two cards to share – oh the little pleasures.  This card features one of my very favorite Flourishes images – Patriotism on Parade.  As a matter of fact, I was so excited about this silhouette because if you remember THIS card, the silhouette was printed on the design paper.  Now I can remake that card, or you can make that card without having to jump through hoops to find the paper.

I used the Ric Rac Scallop Pierceability to cut the top of my main panels and the sentiment is backed by the Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts Pendant center

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes –
Paper:  Making Memories – Vintage Findings
Ink:  Colorbox Pigment Ink – Chestnut, Chianti, Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders Ric Rac Scallop Pierceability, Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts Pendant Center, ribbon, MS Loopy Border Punch.

My second car today features a sentiment of one of the new Our Daily Bread Designs stamps – Thinking of You.  My card is based on the sketch this week on Mojo Monday

For the vertical strips, I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Thinking of You
Paper:  Making Memories
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossing powder
Accessories:  Ribbon, Pearls, Spellbinders Fancy Tags

Wll that’s all for now.  Back to my cleaning!

  • Patsy EcclesSeptember 8, 2009 - 10:26 am

Dear, dear Becca, do the companies whose dies and stamps and tools you use understand and really appreciate how much you do for them with you beautiful work? I have been putting off trying to buy more spellbinders because (thanks to you) I just used my spare money for some Just Rite Stamps. But looking at these beautiful works and all of those in the recent months…you are taking me over the edge and I feel I have to find some more money to purchase more of these marvelous spellbinder dies. But I would not be thinking this way if I didn’t see what amazing pieces of art can be made using them. Please send this on to these manufacturers so they know what a gem they have in you!!!

Also, I need someone to make a new stamp..a large one that says,
“WILL WORK FOR DIES AND STAMPS!!”

Please keep on creating and sharing,
    Patsy in FloridaReplyCancel

You know what’s the coolest thing about the first of every month?  Our Daily Bread Designs has new images that we are allowed to share on that date!  Well, as the new month goes, I have a new card to share and can tell you a little bit about the new releases at Our Daily Bread Designs.   There are three new sets and you can see them HERE.  Kelley has been designing sets to accommodate all the occasions in our lives and here are some more to add to your collection for Get Well, Thinking of You and Friendship.

My card uses the Thinking of You set.  I find that so often I am sending a no occasion card, and well . . . this will sure fit the bill.  I simply layered Spellbinders Snowflake Frameabilities (I’m intrigued with the shape left over after cutting the small frame) and three Spellbinders Labels Four.  I made a small mat out a cream colored Labels Four by cutting diagonally and stretching the shape out a bit.  The final touch was that huge ribbon – yes, it is 3 inch wide ribbon.   All I can say is that I was just in that wide ribbon mood. :)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Thinking of You
Paper:  The Paper Company, DCWV Rustic
Ink:  Colorbox Pigment –  Topaz
Accessories:  Spellbinders Snowflake Frameabilities, Spellbinders Labels Four, Gold Pearls, 3" Wide Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder

Well, like the stamp says, God’s Blessings to you :)  Thanks for stopping by to see me, it sure warms my heart.
