Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for April 2019 - Elegant Swivel and Sashay Die Set - Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using this Spellbinders Die can be found at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p= 34907
April has been the most awesome month!!  If you joined us for the Introduction of Vintage Treasures – stay tuned to the end of my post where we have a couple of winners to share.  In the meantime, can I tell you that I’m so smitten with the April Die of the Month and if you haven’t seen the Twist and Pop type cards I created, check out my post ——> HERE.  When I design these dies, I pack the features in so that you can use them in your every day crafting.  Today instead of creating a Twist and Pop card, I’m showing you that you can make an everyday card with the contents of the kit!

This is what the Die of the Month looks like:

My Card Today:

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for April 2019 - Elegant Swivel and Sashay Die Set - Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using this Spellbinders Die can be found at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p= 34907

For my card, I cut the scalloped panel twice to make a hinged card base and it’s absolutely delightful with those mini scallops.  I layered up a panel with sunburst but turned it on the side for a bit of flair.  I have to say that this card is much smaller than what I normally make but I’m loving that size.  Honestly, I think that A2 and A7 cardmakers will find enough to love.  And then the tall basket.  I can whip these up in minutes and they are always a nice sidekick for a card.  I cut the scalloped panel in half and used that panel to embellish each side of the tall basket.

This was a lickety quick make for me today because sometimes that’s how it really is.  Someone’s on the way and you need to get a lift gift ready.  Know what I mean?

How to Assemble S4-997 Adorned NotepadGood morning sweet friends!!  I have three videos to share with you today!  The first video is How to Assemble the Adorned Notepad, the second video is How to Assemble Cinch and Go Flowers and the third is a very short but cute video about National Scrapbooking Day coming on May 4th – hang in there until about the midpoint, you’ll see yours truly at the end.  I laugh when I say that because me being on video is way out of my comfort zone but I’m getting there :-)

First things first, yesterday we announced and introduced a new collection – Vintage Treasures.  Don’t forget to zoom over to —->THIS<—– post to leave a comment for the chance to win a die.  The Creative Team and I created a number of projects with the new collection and the inspiration is bound to give you some ideas for your next project.  In the meantime, I created with the Adorned Notepad.  My mind went crazy thinking about all the uses.  Today I’m sharing a video on how to put the basic pad together as well as tips for making a sturdy project and project ideas.  You can see the video below.

Many of you have asked for this, so below is a very, very easy way to use Cinch and G Flowers!  I have several sets of Cinch and Go and they are mix and matchable across the whole series.  I’m going to encourage you — especially if you think you cannot build a flower — give this a try.  You’ll be stacking some lovelies that will look pretty on anything you make!

Last of all, did you know that National Scrapbook Day is coming – May 4th?  I was asked by Scrapbook.com to explain what Scrapbook and our papercrafts means to me – this is a lovely video with many faces you will recognize!  Scrapbook.com will be celebrating National Scrapbooking Day April 30th through May 5th.

As always friends, thanks for stopping by!!  Don’t forget to leave a comment on the Introducing Vintage Treasures Post – we want somebody out there to win some dies!

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Treasuures designed by Becca Feeken featuring Spellbinders S4-997 Adorned Notepad - more info at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=34866
We are so tickled today to be introducing  Vintage Treasures.  Today, you’ll find a collection chalked full of classics!!  As always, there is a rectangle, oval, square and circle that will work well with everything in your stash and are perfect for layering.  Next, are several embellishment sets.  As you hop through all the links in the blog hop, you’ll see all the new dies and how we used them.

My Inspiration for Vintage Treasures

Every collection starts somewhere a memory, something seen or something felt.  For this one, I looked no further than my grandmothers hope chest. There is a special place in our hearts for those things kept in a hope chest.  Other than a promise of the future, they symbolize things of value and keepsakes that bring back treasured memories.  I delved there to find memories, filigree jewelry and keepsakes of old.  From long-forgotten turn of the century jewelry to the edgings on an old tattered handkerchief, I love bringing the past into the present in a style that is ….well, timeless.  These things — bejeweled lockets, a sweet tiara and vintage adornments from long ago — provided the sweet inspiration and restoration of some lovely, lovely Vintage Treasures.

The physical dies in this collection have an extra measure of flexibility and function.  Most templates have an outer rim, and inlay and an inner rim that you can use for your sentiment.

My Project For Today:

I’m tickled to introduce ****S4-997 Adorned Notepad

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Treasuures designed by Becca Feeken featuring Spellbinders S4-997 Adorned Notepad - more info at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=34866
This is a fun offering from the collection.  Because the collection is full of rims, labels, and snippets of pretty,  I thought the adorned notepad to be a lovely place to showcase those snippets.  It creates the perfect little gift for giving.

I’ve made a series of little notebooks – one elegant gift notepad (gold and cream), one whimsical gift crayon holder for a youth and one feminine gift notepad for a friend (blue with dressforms).   My mind went crazy thinking up uses . . . a coupon book, a sewing kit, a holder for little button cards and tick, tick, tick, it’s still working away at the ideas!

Two of the notebooks below have small writing pads in them. I simply went to Office Depot and purchased small legal pads and had them chop the stack in half.  After chopping in half, I asked them to trim the bottom also to get to the dimensions I needed.  These are 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and they are perfect to tuck into a purse!

For my girly notepad, I embellished with flowers (below):

Below is the youth gift where instead of using just the pencil holder, I lined up eight of them.  Perfect for crayons, perfect for an outing, perfect for the car :-)

LOVE this note pad gift collection! These would be a great addition to our Women’s Ministry Convention door prizes! I LOVE making lists and jotting down notes. You are right, this would be ideal in the car, too! On the fridge, by the computer, in the prayer room, so many places to use these. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work!ReplyCancel
