Merry Christmas Becca! Your card is gorgeous as usual and they are always a blessing to my heart. I have been richly blessed to have my children close enough to see often and I love all the family – brothers and family, niece and husband, and all our children, grandchildren, and 1 greatgrandson, and 1 great grand on the way, who shared Christmas Eve supper with us to be my greatest gift!!ReplyCancel

Merry Christmas Becca, I was blessed today by visiting your blog while waiting for my husband to get ready to go to our Christmas celebration. But beyond that, I am blessed today by having beautiful weather, a warm and comfortable home, a husband that loves me and a dear friend who has opened her heart and home to us on holidays as well as throughout the year. The greatest blessing of all is the Savior whose birth we celebrate and who has blessed us with the promise of eternal life.ReplyCancel

Merry Christmas Becca. Yes it is Christmas but sure doesn’t feel like it. Hot down here, not really normal and that is what stirs up all of these storms. Our blessing this week is missing the really bad weather. . but our prayers are with those who have to deal with the aftermath. Blessings to you and your familyReplyCancel

Blessed Christmas to you, Becca – know your Christmas is full of family and faith, even though your gathering is shy a body – but not of memory. We were blessed to have Christmas breakfast and gifts and games this morning with our daughter in her group home – her relatively new adult placement. She used a family recipe for a breakfast casserole. I made cinnamon rolls and baked them here – they were just right for eating by the time we made it there. We laughed and hugged and made memories…it was a good celebration time for all. Well done. We’ve had to shift how we do family gatherings over the last four years, but we are learning and trying to get it right. This was our best Christmas yet, – certainly the smoothest. It was definitely a change that she was open to having us come to her home and share her space with us.

As for another giveaway – girlfriend, you are more than generous – every post you make, you give away inspiration and a bit of yourself. Anything else is just icing on the cake. Much as I love the Friday giveaways…don’t care if I never win. I get enough just visiting here when you post. YOU are the gift…and we know it!

Today, Christmas Day, I am blessed with a husband who looks after me and my health. Yesterday was the big family do, actually a family reunion of my siblings. We had an almost unbelievably good time late into the evening at one brother’s house after a couple of days of shared meals and catching up beforehand. This morning I started feeling ill and my husband shooed me off to bed to get some much needed rest and spent the rest of the day keeping tabs on me and making me comfortable. It is also a blessing that I was in tip-top shape yesterday for all the fun. A quiet Christmas Day at home with a hovering hubby to review all the fun of the past few days was actually an ideal way to end the festivities for Christmas. My cold will pass but me experiences will be with me to enjoy for a long time. I hope your holiday was a wonderful one, Becca!ReplyCancel

Oh, My! I actually enjoyed my first Pain-free time tonight in about three years as my family was so goofy and we kept coming up with silly zingers that made us each laugh so hard and for so long that my Sis-in-law who had been putting her grandson to bed came down and thought we were all drunk but all we had to drink was water!!! I ended up with a hoarse cough just from laughing so hard. Definitely Good memories!

The laughter was great for all of us as this was our 2nd year without my father-in-law Pa Bear who had passed away in October of last year.

It was especially great for me as I lost 3 friends this past month. Last year I lost 15 friends to various Cancers and one to Suicide. Then found out that I had lost 2 family members that noone even told me about.

Sometimes you just have to let joy and happiness flood your soul in the midst of grief as we know we will see our loved ones again one day. Becca, I was thinking of you and your family today <3 In fact, I wore a black turtleneck in memory of everyone who was lost this year.

Then I gave them all the great news! I am a Gramma for the first time! I am so tickled I could Dance so ya'll please, please pray that my daughter will get to the point that she can forgive me and let me be a part of her and my grandson's life.

I wish every one of you a very Merry CHRISTMAS and a most Prosperous and abundantly peaceful joy-filled and full of love New Year!!!! {{{{hugz}}} Masquerading CrafterReplyCancel

Hi Becca, Lovely card again–do you ever toss mistakes that can’t be fixed? Bet not. Your trash bin from projects is probably uninteresting, unlike mine. You had me thinking about being blessed today and good health and security came front and center but mulling over the question I looked at a bigger picture and decided my my most important blessing has been ongoing from the support, kindness, guidance from others since childhood, adolescence, first years of marriage, children, empty nesting, and grand-parenting. The Lord has blessed me with loving women and a few good men, most are committed Christians who stood with me in times of need and joy with good direction. Those people are my praise today. Most people are not as fortunate as I am but I am very grateful. BarbaraReplyCancel

I was so very blessed to spend the day with my dear sisters, and we were able to speak to our cousin in Texas. I am so truly blessed to have 2 wonderful, beautiful sisters. I love them so much. They are my family AND my best friends. We spent the day being so very thankful for our Lord and Savior and all the sacrifices made for us. I am also very blessed to have dear friends in my life. I hope your Christmas was full of Christ, family, fun, and friends.ReplyCancel

I had a wonderful Christmas with all 3 of my children yesterday. We focused more on family and spending time together rather than the gifts and I can truthfully say it was one of my favorite days. The older we get, the more you realize that you, yourself are the gift to others. I hope you had a wonderful holiday also. Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous projects.ReplyCancel

Beautiful card Becca! Love all the layers.
I am blessed every day. But on this very special day of the year, I am blessed to spend Christmas with my family including both my Mother 91 and Dad 93. Everyone came to our home for a wonderful day of great food, champagne and lots of home baked sweets. I did a “60’s” tree this year and it was fun to watch Mom and Dad walk all around the tree looking at all the ornaments from my childhood that they used to hang on their tree when I was growing up. It was a very sweet moment in time. Loves, RuthieReplyCancel

    Good afternoon lovely Becca,
This Christmas has been the other side of the coin for me from last years misery in losing my best friend in my Mum in September, her best friend my Auntie Jean just days before. This year i have a 6 month old grandson who was sent to keep me going i think by Mum since i didn’t have her anymore. He is the cheeriest wee boy that you ever did see and has brought joy to an awful lot of people which is just wonderful. He was named after his 2 great grandads in which one is still alive and just besotted with him as is his great gran. Did i ever expect last year that i would have this wee bundle of pure joy, no but i am so glad he came and he is a definite blessing in my life. Of course he didn’t understand what Christmas was but he laughed and giggled and bounced the whole day. I don’t know about anyone else but i was sure tired by the end of the day. So as you see lovely lady i had a true blessing this year and to me the best there could be in being made a Granny to a beautiful baby boy.
sending you lots of love, hopes and prayers out to you dear lady and your Mum at this time

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Quietfire Design - Flourished Ornaments, Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight Decorative Elements, Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Well it had to happen . . . I overlooked someone when I was making Christmas Cards.  Never fear, I had a couple of thoughts knocking around my head on a card I could pull together quickly.   I normally can’t even find a piece of paper within 10 minutes but this truly came together in a jiffy.  I know it won’t get there in time but  for me a 10 minute card is as rare as a unicorn so happily it was  meant to be.

Someone recently asked me if I always do gold – so I reached for silver.  Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight and Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight Decorative Elements are rich with detail and enough so to make a shaped card – so I reached for them. Quietfire Design recently introduced a fabulous Flourished Ornament Set and the beautiful flourished statements fit perfectly inside the Labels Forty Eight shape.  I ran the copied outlines of the dies through the minc machine then cut the outline using the dies – Technique Here – but cutting them out of silver alone is just as lovely.  Added pearls, added a bow and added a button.

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Layered Blooms Contour Die and Quietfire Design Tiny Christmas Wishes, Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles, Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers, Spellbinders Petite Pennants - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Happy Holidays dear friends!  Yes, it is getting closer.  Popping up to share some last minute Christmas inspiration.  I’m working on some other projects but this flower figures prominently and luckily it’s something that I can share :-)  I’ve been using this gorgeous flower using a new Spellbinders Contour Die called Layered Blooms (yep, it’s a steel rule die) to decorate packages and oh so many more things.  That flower – easy and gorgeous!  That sentiment – of course it is Quietfire Design!  I used a new Christmas set called  Tiny Christmas Wishes for the perfect finishing touch!

SPEAKING OF WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO  . . .

I can’t hint, but Spellbinders can hint.  Today, Spellbinders is sharing my story, the inspiration for my designs.  Read the article carefully and you’ll be able to figure out what’s coming (wink, wink).  The whole story is at this link —–>  Designer Spotlight – Becca Feeken.  I’m so tickled to have the opportunity to be a licensed designer.  If you have a moment, chime in over on the Spellbinders blog.   Thank you for letting me share my inspiration!!

WRBF-4865-2015
My card above is embellished with some of my favorite dies – Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers (love that swirl!), Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles (a must have) and Spellbinders Petite Pennants.   Okay, back to my work desk!  I’m going to have a glass of mojo and continue with some pressing deadlines.  I couldn’t resist showing just a small piece of the gorgeousness that I get to work with!   Thank you sweeties!!

Hi Becca, Understated elegance! Wow,what a card–the simplicity screams sophistication, confidence, style, and beauty. What a contrast to my add everything on the table glued and layered and hope for the best. This card is so well thought out a design. When you’ve got it you’ve got it and Becca has got it. Thanks for making everything look so easy but you have method to your madness and I am so pleased to sit back and duplicate, better known as copy die for die, stamp for stamp, flower for flower. Why mess with success? Thanks, BarbaraReplyCancel

Beautiful card, Becca. Can’t wait to go read the article. Please keep my mother in prayer. She will be going to a rehab tomorrow and probably onto a nursing home. Her world is about to change and she is so unhappy and scared. The worst part is that she doesn’t know the Lord. Very scary. Anyone that reads this please pray for her.ReplyCancel

This is what I wrote about you:
Becca was an early influence on and inspiration to me when I ventured into papercrafts. Therefore, this post will not be short. Becca Feeken was responsible for me starting to buy Spellbinders. When I saw her work, I was in awe. Could I possibly pull off something like that? I now have three magnetic cases filled with awesome Spellbinders dies. Yes indeed there are more carefully stored, especially those big ones. I was thrilled when she designed her own dies. Got them too! Becca’s creative spirit is manifested in her work. Beautiful, inventive, timeless and so freakin’ coooool! I cannot wait to see her new designs.
Thank you Spellbinders for letting Becca bring you to us! Her videos are awesome and she is a very good teacher…that mesmerizing voice. Becca truly loves what she does and shares it with us in a spirit full grace!ReplyCancel

  • SHELLEEDecember 22, 2015 - 7:53 pm

Once again Becca, you are showing us true beauty! Can’t wait for your new designs! I have told Spellbinders MORE than once online, as well as in person at shows, that YOU are the reason my Spellbinders collection numbers over 100 dies! Prior to finding your site, I had 1 die, and had never opened it….2 short years later, things have changed! Your designs have changed everything about the way I craft! Blessings to you and yours Dear Lady, as you celebrate the season, although with a heavier heart this year. However, you display your sadness with such “Amazing Grace” I believe you will have a blessed Christmas!
