How true is that sweet sentiment?   It’s one of the new releases this month from Flourishes called Timeless Quotes.   The Spellbinders Labels Four die is a beautiful way to showcase this sentiment.  I cut/emboss each frame by using two of the templates at together, secured to the magnetic spacer that came with my Wizard.  The piece left over from cutting the frame, the smaller Labels Four Die cut, was used for my stamping.  The frames and the Labels Four diecut are popped up – that gave me ample room to intertwine the ribbon through the back.  (Hint: No special ribbon tying involved here – the ribbon on the die cut is a piece of ribbon tied separately!  Easy!!).

Buttons topped with pearls are the final embellishment for the card.   I chuckled as I made this card because it was easier making myself use this Basic Grey – Sugared – especially after everyone weighed in here about their paper hoarding *grin*!

Card Recipe:
Stamps – Flourishes – Timeless Quotes
Paper – Basic Grey – Sugared, Bazzill
Ink:  Colorbox Merlot embossed with Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Four, Ribbon, Buttons, Pearls

It’s been a pleasure reading your comments this week – you all are quite the funny bunch!!

Oh Becca, As soon as today’s card popped up on my screen, my first thought was, “Oh My Goodness…..Becca has been CURED!” I recognize that paper as some that has “hoardability” written all over it. Keep up the good work!! Maybe we can “cure” this disease. I know,…….maybe we could start a “paper” ribbon campaign……..Well, I guess that wouldn’t work because to make our ribbons look good enough to wear, we would have to use our BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, Little Yellow Bicycle, K & Co., and on and on…….so you KNOW that is not going to happen!! Oh Well, lead us on, we can only do our best!! Linda S. in NEReplyCancel

Exquisite as always Becca. Thanks for letting us in on your ribbon “trick”. It may have lessened the mystique but it got me thinking maybe I could be less ribbon challenged than usual :D.

Had a composition thought. Did you try placing the half pearls on a diagonal in the corner to mimic the slant of the frame? Just curious if it didn’t look as good as it seems to in my mind when I think about that type of placement.

Any one have spring fever?  I sure do.  Today found me outside in the yard and inside doing a little bit of spring cleaning.  Once I got a break, I sat down to finish this card.  The card uses a scripture from the March Release of You are the Potter by Our Daily Bread Designs

I was tickled to try this Spellbinders Rose Blossom Edgeability template.  Once stenciled it made up into one of the easiest cards I’ve done lately.  We all need that right?  It also made for the perfect place for my sentiment.  For my sentiment both edges were cut with the Spellbinders Ric Rac Scallop Pierceability and on one edge both the embossing and piercing were done.  After tucking the sentiment panel up under the edge of the Edgeability and the card was topped with a header and bow.  The header has vertically scored lines that were done with a Scor-pal.  Ribbon, pearls and another rose cutout finish the card.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – You are the Potter
Paper:  The Paper Company
Ink:  Stampin Up Regal Rose, Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss
Accessories:  Spellbinders Rose Blossom Edgeability, Ric Rac Scallop Pierceability, Pearls, Ribbon, Scor-pal

Happy Spring to you!!  Be sure to spend some time outside breathing in the fresh air!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC7)!!!! This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to use ribbon. You may think ribbon?  I use ribbon all the time.  Of course, you do!!!  We all do!!!  I mean there are just so many ribbons out there to choose from.  There are lace, organdies, ric rac, satin, twill, and grosgrain just to name a few.  Then, there are polka dotted, printed, and stitched patterns to be had.  And, if that is not enough, many of these come in different widths.  Like I said, there are just so many to choose from.   However, you may only use a certain type of ribbon all the time yet you hoard a boat load of others.  It is time to cut those ribbons that bind you, lol!!!  Try to venture from your normal comfort zone or try to use ribbon in a different way.   Do not fret, though.   If you are not feeling awfully adventurous, any card with some ribbon will do!!!!  We would love to see what you do either way!!!

On this card I combined a couple of the elements that I love – the beautiful stamp set,  the Spellbinders Flower, the wide ribbon, the vintage button, pearls and the Martha Stewart punch.  I’ve been holding this card to share with you when these new sets were released and I’m so happy that they are available now!!  This card was created for a class I recently taught and although it may seem like overkill, I purposely included as many of my favorite elements that are – well…me!

The wonderful flourish in the background is from a new Flourishes set called Ornamental Elements that is the epitome of the elegance and grace you’ve come to associate with Flourishes stamps.  The perfectly sweet sentiment hidden on the inside says "Happiness held is the seed  Happiness shared is the flower – it is another of the new Flourishes setscalled Sweet Peas.  The filigree flower was created by Spellbinders Floral Accents and the leaf is from Spellbinders Sunflower One

Here is the card recipe:
Stamps:
Flourishes Ornamental Elements, Flourishes Sweet Peas
Paper:  The Paper Company – Solar White, Bazzill Palo Verde, Bazzill Capers, Bazzill Bling – In the Pink, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Palette – Landscape
Accessories:  Spellbinders Sunflower One, Spellbinders Floral Accents, Martha Stewart Lattice Arch edger, Sheer Organdy Ribbon, Pearl, Silver Cord, Vintage Button

Stay tuned this week . . . I hope to be back later this week with a tutorial on how to make those corner perfectly using the Martha Stewart punch!!

I need to apologize and make a correction. My post was so incorrect. I am sorry for calling everything the wrong names. The mind gets so confused when you get to be my age. :)
I was telling the truth when I said I have purchased so many products you use and I want to buy a lot of the others. I get them all confused. I called it the wrong spellbinder set and it is a flower, not a medallion. Sorry for mixing things up. Anyway, all your cards, no matter what you use and what you create are BEAUTIFUL.
