Day of Giving Friday: A Perfect Pair

Anniversary, Engagement, Wedding Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using S4-609 Spellbinders Gents Shoe, Lace S4-601 Spellbinders Ladies Shoe, S5-258 Spellbinders Swallowtail Tags - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning friends!  Welcome to another Day of Giving Friday – today I have a new card to share and my post is short.  I was in a shoe making frenzy during my last posts and that said – you know my motto – let nothing go to waste.  I went through quite a few takes so I have a little pile of extras.  I pulled one of each to pull together a card with the Ladies Shoe and the Gents Shoe together.  I think its the perfect card for an anniversary, engagement or wedding.

Edited to Add: If you are a comment reader, or just need a little lift to your day.  Please take a second to read through the comments being left today (and if you are so inclined, you are always welcome to share a kind word with other readers who may need it).   The readers who frequent the crafting pages here are second to none and are the most uplifting and caring people I know.  After I published my post, I sat down with a cup of coffee and began to reading about you.  I’m inspired, uplifted and speechless.

Anniversary, Engagement, Wedding Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using S4-609 Spellbinders Gents Shoe, Lace S4-601 Spellbinders Ladies Shoe, S5-258 Spellbinders Swallowtail Tags - www.amazingpapergrace.com

I simply pulled together a panel that I wrapped in lace.  My sentiment is computer generated and cut with Spellbinders Swallowtail Tags.  I hand tied a ribbon around the panel and popped on a Gents Shoe and Ladies Shoe for a 10 minute card.

About Day of Giving Friday

Welcome new readers!  Just to bring you up to speed, every Friday it’s my pleasure to give away a card.   The card goes to a randomly picked reader (worldwide) who leaves a comment in our conversation. Want to know more about Day of Giving, here’s a link to my FAQ’s just check out #11.

For me being busy and being swamped seems to be bliss.  Every day I’m simply amazed at how blessed my life is and I’m grateful.  Today I pause to say that out loud . . .   For your comment today – What are you grateful for today?

WAUW what an awesome card here again Becca. I just love those shoes, and they makae such a gorgeous anniversarycard like yours here. It look sooo perfect.
What am I grateful for here today? I´m grateful, that I live in a free country, as we just yesterday celebrated the 71 year´s day from our release in WW2, and it was still very fresh in the memory, when I was born in the years after, and I still remember all the horror from that time, so I´m grateful, that we at least are free now a days, and don´t have to worry the bombs or that kind, even there´s unfortunately more and more terror comming up here too.
    Have a wonderful week-end everyone.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca. Fab card as always. I still haven’t used my shoe dies yet as I am having a mega craft room sort out. Everything out of the room and scattered all over the house currently! It’s been deep cleaned and now Ive moved the furniture around a bit I need to put less back then I took out! Mmmmm…. Could be interesting. I got fed up trying to craft in a tiny space so a good clean and declutter is long over due. I am grateful that it’s Friday today! It’s been one of those weeks. Happy weekend.ReplyCancel

As I read your comment I thought, wouldn’t it be great if Becca used her leftovers for giveaways – especially for people, like me that don’t own a die cut machine (yet!) and are always looking for embellishments. Then I read about your loss and your injury and I thought, this is precisely why Becca invited us to connect with each other. As I write this, I am praying that you are cradled softly in the loving arms of God, bringing you the support and comfort you need. All good wishes, SandyReplyCancel

That is such a charming card, Becca! I agree it would be perfect for any “couple” event. And the dies will not go out of style because there are always so many “couple” events to celebrate!
What am I grateful for today? Too many things to list! I strive to live a life a gratitude. I am grateful for everything from the beauty of the morning dew on a leaf to my salvation in Christ. I’m not as grateful for the trials in my life, but I am grateful for the lessons they teach me and the shaping of my character into becoming a more Godly woman.

As I was hanging out the wash today, I had to give thanks for the beautiful, warm, sunny day today. Then I started thinking of friends and family that are similar to our age and realized (again) how fortunate we are to have our health. So many have experienced heart attacks, surgery, etc., and we have so far escaped these. And, to make it an even sweeter day, our son and daughter-in-law are making the 2 hour drive to spend the day with us and help me in my flower beds. I am truly blessed!ReplyCancel

I’m just grateful for my lovely family and for the beautiful sunshine and warmth we are having in the UK. Snow last week and summer this week. Enjoy your weekend. XReplyCancel

    Good morning lovely lady,
Oh how i love her wedding shoes and i could walk in those ones as they are nice and low, although i don’t know that my ankles and those pretty dainty ankle straps would meet somehow, lol. This is a bonny card Becca and one that any bride would be over the moon with.
My thing that i am grateful for is still being able to walk albeit on two sticks. I look around at people who are confined to wheelchairs because their legs have went on strike or totally fallen out with them and i am truly lucky. Yes i may have broken my back 3 different occasions now and have walking difficulties but i can still do it, many can’t. I realise that this probably reads strange to others but i look around and see so many poor souls that can’t do anything for themselves and more so when their brain is so intelligent and they know what is around them but their body won’t even let out one word, so you see i am so very lucky.
    Take care lovely lady
    love and crafty hugs

I am grateful for having had a truly wonderful mother! I think of her often but with Mother’s Day tomorrow, I get very nostalgic, wishing she was still here. She was my best friend and I didn’t always know that.

What a darling card. A cousin of mine is getting married and I offered to make all of her paper goodies as my gift to her. I just received the shoes dies and cannot wait to show her what you did with them.

My cousin was present at my Mother’s funeral this week. We just returned home last night. I did not know that grieving was such hard work, BUT…how grateful I am that my Mother, her Auntie, lived to be 104 years old. I have had many moments and many memories to sustain me. As I was giving the Eulogy and looking out over the 80+ people in attendance it occurred to me that my Mum and my Dad populated a whole city because at this moment there are 104 members in our family. And I can attest to the fact that they are all contributing members of society with love as the center core that holds us all together. Thank you Becca for allowing me to express my gratefulness for my Mum and grateful to you for the venue to do so. God Bless you! SaraReplyCancel

I adore your shoe dies, Becca and I love your card. Some years ago, I made a wedding card for 2 dancers who were marrying and I cut the shoes by hand. They took some time, so your dies will be perfect!
I am grateful for my faith, my family, my friends and this beautiful day.
I am also blessed by your creations, this blog and those who visit and leave comments. Within these pages, there are always those to smile for, those to uplift us, those to pray for and those to enlighten us. I never cease to be blessed by visiting with you here :o)

Hi Becca how are you my friend. It is truly a lovely card. This card reminds me of the forthcoming marriage of my eldest grandson & his fiancee at the end of June. I am so thankful that I have got to see him grow into a wonderful man.
As four years ago my life changed forever! I was in hospital for three months & nearly died three times! I pray each day and thank God that I have another day to spend with my family & friends.
I know life has been so hard for you to Becca. You are in my prayers.
    Take care.

Hi Becca…I’m a few days late reading this, I’ve been swamped creating Mother’s Day cards. Now that it’s come and gone I’m catching up. This card is so beautiful. I can think of several ways to use these shoes.
I lost my mom several years ago, but I think about her every day. So Mother’s Day is not so hard on me because she’s alive and doing well in my heart.ReplyCancel
