Waltzingmouse Stamps – August 2014 – Preview Day 2

Baby Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltingmouse Little Darlings - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hi there sweet friends!  Today is Day 2 of previews with Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I’m swooning over the new baby sets and couldn’t wait to get them inky.  And, is there any better excuse to pull out pink?  Yep, did someone say pink?  I wanted an elegant card that was fairly simple.  The large lace does the work of a background and then I tied a bow on because you can’t have an elegant baby card without a bow right?

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltingmouse Little Darlings - www.amazingpapergrace.com

I double stamped each image, once with blush and once with birch ink because I wanted the image to be soft and have pink undertones.  The basket was stamped on the Waltzingmouse Stitched Tags Die Set while the sentiment was stamped on the small pennant tag in the Waltzingmouse Folding Tag Die Set and I smudged the edges with Blush Ink using a dauber.  Peeking out from the back of my tag is teeny tiny picot edge using the Waltzingmouse Picot Edge Die.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps Waltzingmouse Stamps – Little Darlings
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Natural White Smooth 80 lb Cardstock,
Ink: Fresh Inks – Birch and Blush
Accessories: Waltzingmouse Stitched Tags Die Set, Waltzingmouse Folding Tag Die Set, Waltzingmouse Picot Edge Die, Recollections Pearls, May Arts Silk Ribbon, Mulberry Flowers, Clear Embossing Powder, Loose pearls, button, lace

Well I did indulge but also pulled out a little bit of blue so as not to go too overboard :-)

For this 6″x6″ card I used the Waltzingmouse Folding Tag Die Set to fill in for the pennants at the bottom of the page and also used the same tag to stamp the sentiment on.  I used Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One to cross the pennant and added some color behind the sentiment with Spellbinders Elegant Ovals.

    Oh Becca,
If only my daughter was 21 years younger and about to start her family I could indulge myself and make these. (Although she did not start her family until 10 years ago!! thus making me an elderly grandma) !!!
These are truly beautiful and I will adjust and adapt for other uses – although my niece has been married for a year and hopefully will give me a reason to produce something similar.
Thank you and God Bless xxReplyCancel

Such cuteness!! I have a question that goes back in time… I was just reading through your blog and came upon the card you did for your daughter’s new house last year. (Lovey, BTW!) I didn’t read everything in between so I may have missed the answer to my question in another blog post but hope you will indulge me this once. I recently purchased some of those clear plastic boxes for my super embellished cards but have been putting them in bubble envelopes for mailing which adds weight and, therefore, postage. Did your card get through the mail to your daughter without being smushed? Did you have to put any special notation on the outside? (Sometimes I have to mark mine “Do Not Bend” and, I think, it costs a little more to send.)ReplyCancel
