Video on How to Assemble the Ladies Shoe Die Cut

Amazing Paper Grace: S4-610 Ladies Shoe on Spellbinders Paper Arts designed by Becca Feeken
Good morning friends!  This week I’m doing some educational videos on how to assemble some of my new dies.  Many of you have emailed me for instructions and I think these videos will do the trick :-)  Several left to do, but they are coming! Today I have a video to share to show you how to assemble the S4-610 Spellbinders Ladies Shoe.   This is a shoe that screams girlfriends!!  It will be right at home for wedding themed cards but my goodness, the shoe is so darned cute my girlfriends are getting put on the gift list.

Amazing Paper Grace: S4-610 Ladies Shoe on Spellbinders Paper Arts designed by Becca Feeken
This is the card I had in mind when I designed the die – I could just see a whole row of shoes.  Crafting mimics real life, right?!  For this particular card I created a card base using Spellbinders Victorian Arch – I cut four of these and adhered them to a 2-1/2″ of card stock – 11″ long and scored in the middle.  The arches are adhered, two on the front and two on the back along the decorative edge.  My sentiment is printed on vellum with my laser printer and adhered along the bottom edge of the shoe panel.  It’s a big card (8″ x 5-1/2″) that will need a custom envelope but I’m a huge fan of the We’R Memory Keepers Envelope Board – having it in my arsenal means I’ll never shy away from creating custom cards.

I’ve assembled quite a few of these shoes by now and for this one I was tickled to discover that washi tape comes in prints that are sized just right for this shoe.  I wanted a small print for one of the shoes so I just laid out three strips of the tape and that gave me the coverage I needed to cut out the toe piece.

Your work is so beautiful. Seems like I say that quite often, but your work is a cut way above the rest.I don’t have words to describe how breathtaking your work is. You are an artist with paper. You can take a plane sheet of paper, in this case at least 2 sheets and make something so beautiful[ I try to do it, but mine is plain vanilla next to yours. You make the world a must nicer and prettier place. Thank for sharing your talent with us.ReplyCancel

Wooooow!!!! I’m back! Just watched the tutorial. Loved it! But the introductory fonts to that tutorial just took my breath away!! The swirls and curls, they look like quilling. If I could have copied them I would have. I know they’re your handiwork, too. Totally Beccaliciious!!!!!!ReplyCancel

Becca my eyes are very old now so i have trouble seeing how you are putting things together when it is shown against the black script background a plain table would be easier!
