Turning The Corner

Sweet blog friends, the fog of Christmas dinner has worn off and we’re turning the corner!  Reality hits as it is three days from the beginning of a new year!!  I really got caught up in Holiday cards quite late but wait until you see how far ahead of the game I am today – Mothers Day!!  I have a soft, feminine card to share – it makes me want to have several to share around.  You just know that I could never deny pink so I wallowed in my comfort zone today.  In fact, that will be one of my New Year’s resolutions – that it’s okay to make your own heart sing by doing the things you really enjoy!! This past month has found me being very kind to myself – beating myself up has stopped.  I’d encourage the same thing for you in the coming year – life is short.

I chose a pink ink and pearls to showcase this sweetly feminine background stamp called Elegant Damask Background from JustRite Papercrafts — it’s truly so stunning that I dare not cover it up!  I cut the background using Spellbinders™ Labels Eight which I framed with Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels Eight.  The sentiment from the Hugs and Kisses Sentiments set spans the card horizontally framed by Spellbinders™ French Frills.  I do like depth on my cards so I cut tiny pieces of foam tape to lift up the frame made with Decorative Labels Eight.   Lastly, an easy bow tied with the Bow Maker and embellished with a pearl and crystal and corsage pin make it undoubtedly girly!

By the way, ‘everything’ on the JustRite Papercrafts site is 25% off, just in case you want to get a jump on Valentines Day and Mothers Day or like me, you have a couple of gift cards from the holidays to satisfy your stamping wish list :-)

I just agree with everybody else here, it´s just sooo gorgeous Becca, and we´ve really missed your pink girly blingy cards sooooo much, so it´s really great to see oe again here. It almost signals that normal times is comming back now, which we can certainly use now after sooo much madness for so long ha ha ha. And it´s not because I don´t love this time of year, cause I definitely do, but it´s also nice to get back to good ols wellknown times again afterwards somehow. I soooo love this beautiful girly ccard here, it´s stunning Becca.ReplyCancel
