Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight, Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight Decorative Accents, Spellbinders Curved Borders Two, Spellbinders Grate Effect, Spellbinders Baby Buntings - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Well, hi there friends!  Making holiday arrangements here but had time to slip in a card.  I was showing my mom that sometimes it takes me a chunk of time to figure things out and sometimes I get and idea and set down to my table and come up with something pretty quickly.  This was the latter and was made with pieces and parts I had on my desk but I added the new  Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight and Spellbinders Labels Forty Eight Decorative Accents in and voila I had a card.  These are star shaped dies that work well for holidays but you can bet I’ll be using them the whole year through.

I wanted lots of texture today so I backed by whole composition on top of Spellbinders Grate Effect and was tickled to see how it looks so dreamy when seen through the vellum I cut with Spellbinders Baby Buntings.  Many times I reach for Spellbinders Curved Borders Two to create a piece to echo a curve – to me it creates a little bit of majesty.

This card is dreamy with the vellum. Never would have thought of that. Making a card from start to finish is satisfying but taking scraps and coming up with great ideas is so “the cats meow!” I just love to take a few papers and keep making cards til there is just small unusable pieces left. That gets a big WhooHoo outta me!ReplyCancel

I just love your card! It’s so pretty with the gold!! And your bow, beautiful!!

I looked closer at the sentiment and thought “wait, isn’t that part of one I just bought on clearance at Michael’s?” I used the wreath on a card last week and was wondering how to use the sentiment. (I posted my card on my blog as a participant in the Online Card Classes.) Now you’ve shown me a way! Thank you!

Many blessings to you and yours this Thanksgiving!ReplyCancel
