A Fresh Start Rounded Bottom Card and Weekly Inspiration

Rounded Bottom Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Lunette Arched Borders and Spelbinders Tallulah Frill Layering Frame - for full supply list see ww.amazingpapergrace/?p=33306
Hi there friends, I’ve been creating like a mad woman!  This week I’ll start sharing pictures of 3D Vignettes with 12 Days of Inspiration here on the blog – I hope you’ll join me.  In the mean time, today I’m taking a teensy little break to share a card that has been waiting in the wings for a while.   Never having done a round bottom on a card, I think it’s really quite unique – looking forward to trying more.  I actually had to shave the bottom a tiny bit so that it would sit level instead of rolling over.   Lunette Arched Borders gives me the round bottom and I reached another Amazing Paper Grace dies – Tallulah Frill for the border at the top and for the embellishment of the sentiment panel :-)

The easiest way to get your card base is to cut an 8.5″x 11″ sheet in half so that you know have 5.5″x 8.5″.  Then diecut Lunette Borders onto the bottom of both panels.  Score one panel for a fold that is 1″ in and fold.  Lastly, trim the panels to be even at the top and adhere along the top.

I get the double borders on the rounded bottom  simply because I added a curved panel on top of my card base. Its a simple card, really and I like the look the repetition gives.

Always the best..!! The crafting world is so huge and yet so small. I met a lady today demoing at a stamp show. As she did her demo and we chatted, we found that the person who really inspired us to do paper crafting many years ago and who continued to greatly inspire us… well, no need to guess… it’s YOU! There was an immediate kinship with that one connection and it went on from there. Thanks for it all, Becca.ReplyCancel
