Stamper’s Dream and Friends Blog Hop

Happy Monday blog friends!!  Today I’m hopping along with good friends at Stamper’s Dream and I have to tell you that it’s certainly a delightful way to start the week.    I’m sharing a set chock full of wonderful sentiments, including one of my very favorite quotes.  I’ll very easily use every sentiment in this set, with a couple of totally awesome ones that I haven’t heard before.  They all come from the Life Clear Stamp Set by Impression Obsession and I found them at Stamper’s Dream.

You’ll laugh but my card started with the crochet rose.  Once I got started on these roses, I made a little stash!  I love to crochet and quick and simple things like this make me really feel like I’m doing something.  Once I had my rose done, I picked paper and dyed ribbon.  Can every card making day be like this?   Please?

I have a second card today and it’s based on my the thing I use to prime my mojo each week.  The sketch is Mojo195.   I tackle it because I give myself only an hour or two on Monday morning to get it done, so I get a little sense of accomplishment starting off  the week.  It gave me an opportunity to use another of the flowers I crocheted (this one was the first) and it was the perfect sketch for me to include another of the sweet sentiments in the Life Clear Stamp Set.   If you want to make a similar rose, simply google “crochet rose” – I was amazed how many patterns were out on the internet for these coil type roses.

I laughed when I read that you started with the rose. Sometimes you get a lovely embellie and make several cards and it never quite works with where you end up. So, to my mind, tt makes total sense to start with the embellie and go from there (or else we’re both crazy).ReplyCancel

Another beautiful card Becca……and what a beautiful crocheted rose. My grandmother tried to teach me crocheting but I was never as good as she was, my tension was never just right…she also taught me to knit socks, gloves etc which I was quite good at ,,,,she could never understand why I could keep my tension with my knitting and not my crocheting! Never mind, we can’t be good at everything can we? So now I just sit back and admire other peoples crocheting…like yours for instance!
    LOL EileenReplyCancel

Awesome cards, so love the way you layer the dies for framing and your roses are just beautiful, I will have to google that, I have been making the smaller crochet flowers but haven’t tried anything bulky yetReplyCancel
