Scatter Joy

Greetings!!  It’s raining buckets today at my house so I’m putting up this cute little urchin to brighten the day!!  I hope it’s sunny where you are and you are enjoying the weekend.  I’m getting ready for CHA but between chores, sit down to stamp so that hopefully I will have stuff to show next week.  It’s my first time at CHA so I’m hoping to blog pictures from there too!

On to my card today, this is undoubtedly one of my favorite Magnolias – it is Tilda  #284 with Sunflower.   She is available at the Magnolia-licious site.  Tip –  for each stamp in inventory, there is a picture that accompanies it to show you an example of how to color it.  I know this helps a lot of people as a jumping off point to pick their own colors.

I colored Tilda and cut her out with Spellbinders Labels Four which I backed with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Pendant.  Because someone will ask, the green layer behind the Labels four layer is the same size as the one Tilda is on.  What I did was slice the Label Four die by cutting off the top, then bottom.  The largest center piece I cut down the middle vertically.  I reconstructed the Labels Four but spread it out slightly so that it appears to be a larger backing layer.   This is a great way to fake it!   This one didn’t need any camoflaging  but if anything were glaring, what I would do is disguise it by covering it with my flower.  On the bottom edge of my image I added the smaller sunflower from Spellbinders Sunflower Set Two and the center was made using a round punch.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia –
Tilda  #284 with Sunflower
Paper:  NRN, Bazzill
Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Versamark and White embossing powder

Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Four, Spellbinder Fleur de Lis Pendant, Ribbon, bling, Martha Stewart Circle Cutter, EK Success Round Punch, Copics

Thanks for stopping by a and have a great day!!
