Happy Easter

On my post from yesterday I received many questions on the Reverse Stenciling Technique and if I would to a tutorial.  Well I’m happy to say that one has already been done by my friend Heidi Blankenship!!   Hop on over to her blog to check out her tutorial here:

Reverse Stenciling

On another note, many have also asked about the tutorial I thought I would have ready on punches.  No, you didn’t miss it, it’s really coming, just please bear with me as I juggle commitments.  All my samples are done I should be posting this soon :)  I’m also horribly behind on answering questions that are on my question queue – I’ll get to them soon – my world is delightfully busy – thank you so much for your patience.   Oh and last, but not least – there is a blog candy I promised but was not able to fit into March with all the other celebrations I was participating in – it will be coming soon.  I know I’ve just said "soon, soon, soon"  for quite a few things . . . as for right now, know this . . .

God so blesses us.  It’s a glorious day here and I’m off to church in a few minutes.  Happy Easter to all!  I’m curious to hear how you’re celebrating.

Happy Easter, Becca. Don’t worry…we will all be patient for all of the wonderful things you have coming for us. Enjoy your Easter, and take a little time for yourself and your family. It is snowing here in Colorado, but we’re going to try to head out to church, and then it’s home for the day….just the 5 of us. A small meal, and a little indoor Easter egg hunt. That’s what we’re doing today.
Take Care, and have a blessed day.

    Hi Becca –

You sound like you have a lot on your plate, so its understandable that things get a wee bit behind. Don’t stress about it, there are plenty of things on your blog to look at while you catch up! I do have a question for you though regarding Just Rite Rectangle wooden stamper and fonts. I just bought my first sets of Just Rite stamps (spent a pretty penny) and the rectangle stamps was one of my purchases. Is there a trick to using it? I tried using it for a quote and I just got so confused with placement of the letters, etc. Does this come easier with time? I also was using one of the round stamper ensembles and I could not get a clear stamped impression, should the stamps be conditioned (roughed up) a bit?
I know, I know, another question – I’m sorry to bother you with this. Its just that I was trying to do some birthday and Mother’s Day cards and ran into the issues above.

    Thanks so much

Take time to enjoy the Easter holiday. Sometimes commitments build and build and we forget to take time for ourselves. Whenever you get things up on your blog, I, for one, will certainly appreciate them.

Happy Easter. We had sunrise Easter Services at 6 am, followed by a wonderful breakfast of good fellowship and food. Then we had our Sunday School lesson. The final service of the day was the Christening of a new baby in our church family.

Now we are off to my sisters for another wonderful meal and a day spent with family.

    It is a glorious day!ReplyCancel

Hi Becca!! We had our Easter service in a tent. It was glorious! Our church buildings were blown away last February in a tornado. We haven’t started building back yet. I wouldn’t care if we had church in a tent every Sunday, as long as God shows up!! We’ve been using our local high school for our services. But we just wanted to be back on our property for Easter. We had The Lord’s Supper on our property on Good Friday. A building is not the church, we are!!! IRIS, SAVED BY GRACE!! We serve a risen Savior!! Happy Easter everyone!ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
so far my girls and I went to the park this morning where our church sponsored an easter egg hunt for the whole city. There were 30,000 chocolate eggs hidden for all the kids to find. We also had bouncy castles and slides, face painting, balloons, free hot chocolate and coffee. After the hunt there was a Christian magician who does his magic stuff while giving a message. After that there was free hot dogs, chips and pop for everyone.
It’s a beautiful day so far, the sun is shining and the snow is ALMOST gone! Tonight we’ll be going to my husband’s parents house for yummy turkey dinner.
    Enjoy your day.

Greetings from Croatia and happy Resurrection Sunday to you, too! We had a quiet dinner at home. But, in Croatia, it’s tradition to blow up homemade bombs around Easter to signify Christ’s resurrection. It scared us a lot when we first move here 10 years ago (esp since the war in Kosovo, not far from here, was happening at the same time), but now we’re used to it.ReplyCancel

Thank you for asking….arrived at church at 7:30 to practice with the Choir, orchestra, praise team, and the list goes on! We had 3 wonderful services…one traditional, 2 contemporary. Pastor’s message was worshipful and celebratory at the same time. He is Risen…He is Risen Indeed!
Talked to the kids in CA and FLA…Great Day so far!!! Cold and wet only means I can stay in warm and cozy and patiently wait for your next wonderful card!

Easter is a special day to Christians, it is sad but it is joyful as well, we are sad that we are all sinners, and fall short of the glory of God that Jesus came to the world to bear all suffering to die for us, by that grace we reunion with our Heavenly Father, it is joyful to those who believe in His Son ‘s name.
May the blessings of Easter flow through your blog to those come around to join your stamping world.
It is Easter afternoon in British Columbia, Canada this minute, our family has come home from church, thanking Him for every new day.ReplyCancel

A very Blessed Day to you and your family. After an early morning service, I’m now preparing for our evening dinner. This year’s menu will be totally off the wall. Instead of ham, turkey or leg of lamb, everyone voted to go Korean. So I’m prepping the kalbi and condiments for the rest of the family when they get here later. I’m most grateful to have the family together while we partake of this meal.ReplyCancel

Blessed Easter to you all too!! Loved reading through the comments, made me even more joyful. Our church service was so moving……started with a countdown on overhead screen, words from scripture, visuals, and then when it got to the last 60 seconds, the lights were off, the sanctuary dark, a picture of the stone at the tomb…..light piercing the darkness from behind it, the music starting to swell, a spotlight suddenly lighting a single lily on stage….getting more light….like the ray of dawn breaking. Another spotlight on the empty cross, draped in white with flowers in the center. And then, bright light and glorious singing!!! Tears in my eyes…my daughter saying, Mom, why aren’t you singing?? Can’t, crying!! What love!ReplyCancel
