A Cottage Christmas Gift Card Set

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps - A Cottage Christmas
Good morning blog friends.  Today I’m blogging here and on the Waltzingmouse Inspiration Blog with a little project for you that will keep you in the good graces for those last minute gift swaps.  Sometime after I’ve mailed Christmas cards I like to make a couple of little ones – 3-1/2” square or a little bit larger – and I keep them by the door so that when someone comes to the door with an unexpected gift, I have something on the ready to drop into a goodie bag that I have for just that occasion.  I just knew that A Cottage Christmas would be the perfect embellishment for my little card box.  I took a piece of corrugated paper and created a box bottom 2” high and used clear acetate to create a top 4” high.  The cottage is colored with Copic markers and glittered up for a snowy roof look.

Inside I tucked four little 3-1/2” cards made using the Pinstripe Backgrounder and had plenty of sentiments to go around from these Waltzingmouse Stamp SetsAlpine Christmas and Compliments of the Season.

I even made little envelopes to accommodate the cards using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch  Board.  Each card is cut using Spellbinders Classic Squares LGSpellbinders Classic Squares SM and embellished using Spellbinders Holly Leaves and Twigs – easy as pie!  Whew!  Now I’m ready for that spur of the moment gift…

    Good morning Becca,
Huhh! Dafty here thought you had made a beautiful box to put a gift in for someone for Christmas. I think that if it was being used to hold a present, the recipient would love the “wrapping” as well as the present.
It’s a lovely box to hold ready to hand cards and looking on it as a whole, what a beautiful gift it would make with the wee cards in it. I love the wee house and the roof reminds me of Hansel and Gretel with its sparkles.
Thank you Becca for the beautiful project, i think i may haveto play today
    Love and crafty hugs

Becca, I love Waltzingmouse stamps, but it seems as though everytime I see one of their sets that I would love to have, they are never in stock and are on backorder. I find this very fustrating, and it has kept me from ordering from them several times in the past. I have sent them a few e-mails concerning this as well. It is a shame.
