Waltingmouse Stamps February 2015 Release Day 1

Mothers Day Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Mother Die Template - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning friends!  Today is release day 1 for Waltzingmouse Stamps.   There are several new sets and dies and you can see them in full HERE on the first day of the release :-)   I have a couple of cards to share with you today.  The first is a vintage look Mothers Day Card using the new Mother Word Die Set.
Mothers Day Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Mother Die Template - www.amazingpapergrace.com
For my 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ card, I found the lady silhouette in my stash of digitally printed paper and thought she’d be perfect.  I set her in front of a panel using Spellbinders Fancy Lattice and tied it all up with a bow and some pearls.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps Waltzingmouse Stamps – Mother Word Die Set
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest, Natural White, Smooth 80 lb Cardstock, Bazzill – Black, Digital Paper from Etsy Shop – ByDigitalPaper
Ink: None
Accessories:  Spellbinders Fancy Lattice, Cream Satin Ribbon, Black Satin Ribbon, pearls, button

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Hello and Circle and Spellbinders A2 Modern Stationary - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Next up is a small card using the Pretty Circles Die Set and the Hello die template.  My card base is made using the largest Spellbinders A2 Modern Stationary which yields a card base 4-1/8″ – 5-3/8″.  I simply cut an aperature using the circle die template and centered the hello in the frame.  The circle is darling with the petite scallops that curve around the inside edge – in the same cut it also produces a stand alone circle with petite scallops along the outer edge (stashed for use in a later card :-))

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Special Lady and Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance - www.amazingpapergrace.com
My last card today is using Waltzingmouse Stamps Special Lady.  I created a shape card using Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance and Spellbinders Oval Bliss cutting the aperature with Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG.  Hint:  I snipped off the bottom of Fleur de Elegance so that it would stand on it’s own.

I love that silhouette of the lady playing chess!! The card is precious and would be perfect for my class to do for Mother’s Day. Any hints about how to make that bow on your bowmaker or is it a combo of the bow tutorials on the original instructional disc?ReplyCancel

    Becca,
I always love your cards. Today’s card with the silhouette of the lady in black and white just takes my breath away. It is about 2:40 pm here in RI and my husband and I just returned from church where we had a memorial service for my mother Betty Joan Phillips Tozier who passed away in January. The service was totally perfect for us and your card just reminded me of the wonderful lady my mother was. Thank you for a beautiful memory and sentiment. Mom was a nurse, avid writer of poetry, painter and seamstress. She would have loved your card.
God Bless and thank you Becca!ReplyCancel

  • PatriciaFebruary 28, 2015 - 2:03 pm

These cards are all so beautiful! Especially (Mother) I wondered if there is a card design for daughter. Every year for Mother’s Day, my daughter, son-in law and grandchildren honors me on that day and I appreciate it so much and I have wondered every year about a special card for my daughter so that I can honor her as the mother of my grandchildren. Is there one out there? or can you design one?ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
Wow, girl, you have been busy! Three absolutely beautiful cards. Love the MOTHER one with the black ribbon and bow the best but they are all just lovely. I just happen to have that lattice die so I can do. Why don’t you design dies for Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Neice, Dad, Brother, Son and Nephew. I would definitely buy those. Something to think about.
    Hugs,
    Mstgane

    Hello Becca,
How beautiful are these cards? All three have their own attraction but the Mother’s card will be perfect for the 15th March when it’s Mothering Sunday (Mother’s Day) in the U.K. My own mother died in 1980 but I often make her a card on that day or her birthday and keep it in a box with one of her blouses that I cannot bear to part with. I think a copy of your card (with your permission) will be the next card in the box. My daughter does not know I do this, I wonder what her reaction will be when she eventually find out!!
    Love xxReplyCancel

I hope all the companies you work with know just how lucky they are to have you on their team. I certainly know how lucky I am to be one of your subscribers!!ReplyCancel
