Time to Make Merry

Dear Blog Friends, I hope you are ready for Christmas!!  Me?  Sadly no, lots left to do and quite a few deadlines looming but I thought I would take a second to post a card that I worked on during my downtime.  Ugh, decisions – I went through three versions of the background and reverted to the simplest – duh!  Anyways, while I’m busy on other things, thought I’d go ahead and post. :-)

Waltzingmouse Stamps had a fabulous, fabulous release this month and I couldn’t participate but it didn’t keep me from eventually getting this Ornate Ornaments set inky.  The set has matching stamps for Spellbinders™ 2012 Heirloom Ornaments and Spellbinders™ 2010 Heirloom Ornaments die templates, so I used both of those on my card.  I used Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM to cut frame openings in each of the ornaments  then seated my pearl pic and bow in the center.  I love the sweet little sentiment – I don’t have this one anywhere in my stash.  After cutting it out with Spellbinders™ Back to Basics Tags, I glued it to the center of the bow with linen thread.  The background is Spellbinders™ Ornamental Iron (Side A).  Lol, through all my trials with changing up the background, I found a new one – new to me at any rate.  Hope to have a card with that soon :-)

You’ve been on a creative roll the last few days and we’re the lucky beneficiaries. This card is so lovely. It’s the ribbon/bow and ornament, I think. Anyway, I think it’s masterful. Thx a bunch.ReplyCancel

Becca, You are so talented. You can make one embosser look so different just by changing the placement of pearls, the color, and the paper. I envy your talent. You have said you have had some health issues and I pray for you every day but I am asking for additional blessings for you this Christmas. God bless you and thank you for sharing your talent with us. GeorgiaReplyCancel
