Spread Your Wings

Hello there!!  What a glorious weekend, right?!  With some of my pressing chores done, I had the chance to sit down with my favorite set of the month!!  On the day it was released in the early part of the month I was revealing my die for Spellbinders Blog Frenzy and missed getting to show what I had been working on.  I finished it up and . . . love!!  I am just adoring the birdcages and this set from JustRite Stampers called Spread Your Wings is so darn sweet – it offers so many choices.  I’m getting ready to make another of the 3D Birdcages I designed but not as a pop up as an always up gift item.  I want to use this as the card to go along with it – how cool is that?  They match perfectly!!

Today I’m showing two new Spellbinders but I wanted to show you how well they combine with the old :-)  I picked Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents for that lovely frame and backed it with Spellbinders Labels Twenty.  But not before I carved out a line of Fleurs using  Spellbinders Classic Bracket Edgeabilities :-)  I ran ribbon and a bow up the side and buttons across the bottom topped off with pearls.   Somewhere in my stash I found this tiny tassel and it seemed perfect for the top of the birdcage.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: JustRite Stampers – Spread Your Wings
Paper:  Girls Paperie, The Paper Company
Ink: Studio G, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents, Spellbinders Classic Bracket Edgeabilities, Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Buttons, Pearls, Tassel, Linen Thread, Seam Binding

Thanks for stopping by to see me today!!  I’ve cleared a path in my craft room, so I’m hoping to sit and create a little today.   I hope you have wonderful plans for the weekend too!

Sure changes the look of the old dies, and I just love the twisted metal tags and accent set. Who am I kidding – There were very few of the new release that I can actually say I was not interested in. Looking forward to getting mine.
