I have several projects to share with you today and have been waiting with great anticipation!!  To start,  I will be sharing a vintage look Christmas Card made using S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability.  The template absolutely begs to be stenciled so I will take you step by step through the simple process with a tutorial below:
(Special note:  Please remember that many hours go into the making of tutorials so I ask that pictures and content not be republished elsewhere.  I encourage and welcome you to share the details by linking directly to this post.)

Card Recipe:
Accessories:  Spellbinders S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability, Gold Leaf, Helmar Vellum Spray Adhesive, Ribbon, Recollections Gems, Ranger Inkssentials Blender, sponges, Clear Embossing Powder, Firm Brush, Eclipse Masking Tape, Teflon Mat
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – All Hearts Come Home, Stampabilities
Paper:  Strathmore Art Paper – 12" x 18", Bazzill, Grafix Metallic Foil Board
Ink:  SU Ruby Red, SU Old Olive, SU Always Artichoke, Tea Dye Distress Ink, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Colorbox Chalk Ink – Lipstick Red, Colorbox Chalk Ink – Dark Moss

Let’s get started:

The detail on this die template is amazing and the dimensional poinsettia is a fun element that you can either accentuate or play down.  As for me, on all the projects I’m showing it was wonderful to let the rich red card stock below peek out.

Now on to my second project – a set of ornament boxes!  This frame is perfect for showcasing an ornament for this years ornament swap!!  The cut out part of the frame makes for a neat way to see and show off the contents.  The top folds up and down to allow the ornament to be removed.   The box is 4 1/2" on each side and with the top in place is 6 1/2" tall.

After constructing the box, I created four panels using  Spellbinders S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability.  I stenciled the poinsettia and leaves on each panel then applied gold leaf to the remaining decorative scrolls on the frame.

Here is a view looking down at the top that spirals open.

Here’s the ornament outside of the box.  The ribbon on the ornament threads through the top and serves as a way to tote the box also.

Project Recipe:
Accessories:  Spellbinders S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability, Gold Leaf, Helmar Vellum Spray Adhesive, Pearls, Copic R29, Ribbon, Scor-Pal
Stamps:  None
Paper:  Strathmore Art Paper 12" x 18", Acetate
Ink:  SU Ruby Red, SU Old Olive, SU Always Artichoke, Tea Dye Distress Ink

While the larger box would go to the swap recipient, I also made a smaller box appropriate to give to the swap hostess.  So here is the smaller matching box.  It has a peek-a-boo hole at the top so that you can see the contents inside.

The box is a 4" cube with a short lid.  To decorate the sides I used Spellbinders S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities.  In order to create the peek-a-boo hole at the top I used Spellbinders S4-113 Classic Ovals, Small then decorated the opening with the smaller frame from S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability.

Project Recipe:
Accessories:  Spellbinders S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability, Spellbinders S4-113 Classic Ovals – Small, Spellbinders S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities, Scor-Pal, Prima Flowers, Ribbon, Green Shred
Stamps:  Quietfire Design
Paper:  Strathmore Art Paper 12" x 18"
Ink:  SU Ruby Red, SU Old Olive, SU Always Artichoke, Tea Dye Distress Ink

I have the distinct feeling that many of these little boxes will be in my gift giving this year!

I’m tickled to introduce you to S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability – MSRP $24.99

The S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability is made up of a large frame, small frame and two accents.  The size of the large frame is 4 1/8" x 6 1/8" and the dimensions of the small frame are 3 5/16" x 2 9/16".    MSRP of the S5-018 Poinsettia Frameability is $24.99.
