Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents, Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence, Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Spellbinders Majesty - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hi friends, today I’ve been delving into things on my desk and actually trying to make a few cards – I’ve been playing around with die layers. Since we’re well into spring, I was definitely feeling floral. I have a couple of gifts to make and send and I’ve been procrastinating. I whipped this up while avoiding what I was really supposed to be doing.

I pulled Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents because it’s like a square doily and I wanted something filigree to build upon. On top I added the pointed piece from Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and peeking out from behind the squares that I mounted on top, I added the small loopy oval from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals (cut in half). On top of the square I added another loopy oval which I topped with yet another square, stamped sentiment and filigree border from Spellbinders Majesty.

You’ll be surprised to see that I distressed the edges of my cardstock. I rarely do that but it’s a nice change to all the precise layering I try to do. Fun! I finished up with a long tail bow and a button.

Love tiny design paper. This is really different and I like it. Sometimes I defy myself, too and do what I want rather than what I should. But all works out the way it is supposed to and the guilt fades. Thanks for sharing another darling card. Cards are my thing.ReplyCancel

I love the Shabby Chic feel to this lovely card, Hun!!!! It has me wondering what this exact setup would look like in a robin’s egg blue or a light mint green :D <3 <3 <3

Oh, how I wish I could afford a Die cutting and embossing machine….sigh….Darn Deep Debt.

Don't suppose we could start a Die Cut and Emboss Swap called the "Giving Tree" here could we? Where those who have can make some Die Cuts and emboss a few small pieces of Cardstock so that the card makers like myself can still make lovely cards, too? Then perhaps by doing this we could each make a new friend in the process :) Just a thought I had.ReplyCancel

Hey, Becca. This is very pretty. I love the button and the long tail bow.

Also, when I go to make a comment it used to remember who I was when I hit the first letter but I find that it is wanting all the information again. Can this be corrected?

    Thank you.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, Just a lovely card. You layer die cuts that don’t match but go together so beautifully. If I can’t imagine the combinations, I can duplicate so thanks very much. I’ve been traveling and then email account got hacked so it has been a difficult tech week for me but I think all is well now. Thanks for a beautiful card to brighten my day.

Well Hello there what a lovely surprise!!!
I love this card so nice to see you distress some of your paper it gives a
beautiful aged look to the whole card with the filigree and the pretty
    floral paper.
The button and bow just finish the look soooo feminine Pamxxxx

About sharing we share die cuts by cutting out and using white card stock
mainly as you can ink them, and charging a small amount to put back to
    purchasing more paper .
If someone wants a certain die cut they can get it cut in their papers and
they are happy it does us all good to share good luck ladies happy weekend XReplyCancel

Really pretty card Becca. I’m personally not a great fan of the distressed card look since I like clean lines. I prefer distressing with inking around the borders. Having said that, your card is very lovely!

I wish I could layer all these Spellbinder Dies. I get what dies I have in my collection and none of them seem to go together in an elegant way that yours do. Maybe I will win the lottery and be able to add to my dies. I am waiting for some of your dies I have ordered to be delivered. Can’t wait.

Thanks again for the beautiful card. I am still so excited that I won one.ReplyCancel
