My goal and word for 2015 is DISCIPLINE. I have gotten terrible about procrastinating on way too many things – record-keeping, cleaning, exercise, practising music, preparing for my own postings, my blog is pretty much dead! So this year I want to restore some order to my life!!ReplyCancel

  • Nancy LorenzJanuary 1, 2015 - 10:35 am

Becca! First of all thank you for having the give away! How awesome! Next I love the items you are giving away! Totally awesome????! Third, a goal I have, hmmm I have many goals for the new year but hate to make promises on them afraid I won’t be able to deliver no matter how hard I work at them. But this one I think I can accomplish so here goes. . . .my goal is to simplify, yes simplify! Get rid of things I have used in 1 year or more and either give them away or sale them! Probably give them away as there are so many out there that need some of what I have. Just because I haven’t used it, doesn’t mean it’s not good. So, in the interest of recycling that is the goal! Wish me well. It is obtainable, but hard, cause some thing I dearly like! I hope every one on this post is able to fullfill their goals! Just think of what we could accomplish!ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,

My goal this year is to better organize my time and stamp and die storage so they I can make more cards to give away. I make very intricate cards just as you do, but I have to bow to the master–YOU! I don’t sell them because although people enjoy them they will not pay the amount that the labor and materials are worth. Nevertheless for me is a great source of satisfaction seeing the look of pure joy on their faces and hearing the compliments given to my work. You certainly can not buy those with money!

It is easy to make something when it is needed but I find it hard to create just for the sake of creating – and this should be a priority.ReplyCancel

A major goal for me; CLEAN MY CRAFT ROOM ! I’m embarrassed to confess that’s it’s been a disaster since Christmas 2013. I started cleaning it in March and made it even worse by pulling things out and leaving it when other things distracted me. So I resorted to doing my stamping on the dining room table and carrying supplies up and down the steps whenever I wanted to create or when we ate in the dining room. How bad is that!

By letting them use my tools etc. they can create and have fun. I love teaching and instead of it being a hobby, I should make it my main focus. As a certified ceramic teacher with a kiln and 300 molds collecting dust in my basement and two rooms now dedicated to paper crafting, I could and should stop hoarding and open up my doors to the world of crafting! Over the last year, I have lost the two most important women in my life, my mother and the woman who saved my life long ago after losing my only daughter.

My goal is to put one foot in front of the other daily or moment by moment if necessary and go after what I love in life. I plan to make and share beautiful cards and scrapbooks, burn candles, use the nice sheets, express gratitude daily. I am no longer waiting for a special occasion. Today is special enough…

My belief is that crafting will help me to channel my creativity and passion for life, into steady, lifelong expressions of love and gratitude. My hearts desire is to keep my hands busy making a difference so that my mind and heart can take comfort in the the fact that I am in some small way, being of service as a way of life.

You inspire me and I am grateful…ReplyCancel

    Becca,
I’m back for another entry. Another goal of mine this year is to ‘move on’. I lost my mother in June 2014, it has been such a hard thing for me. I never knew the loss of a mother could be so devastating. It has been almost 7 months and I believe it is time for me to move on from the grief. Some days are harder than others, but I know she would not want me to let it bring me down so much. I am a positive person and really try hard to stay positive in light of the loss.
I love coming to your blog when I get an email, to see the lovely things you create! It brings a big smile to my face. Thank you!

having treatment for prostate cancer a year ago. Yes I know I should
    be kinder.

guilty for moving away from family in UK, so I need to push those
    feelings behind me.

Thank you for inspiring me over the years with your fabulous cards.

  • Alexandru (Sandu) MalicJanuary 3, 2015 - 12:27 pm

    Dear Ms. Becca,

My name is Alex, and I am a fifteen years old boy from Moldova – a beautiful small country in the Eastern Europe. Even though my country is pretty small and not very famous, I have got big dreams and great aspirations – to make this world a better place. I am studying in the ninth form, but more importantly, I am a son of God.
Several years ago, I discovered a new passion – handmade greeting cards. I started with quilling and enjoyed it greatly, and learned new techniques. Last year, I found your web site and liked it very much. I check it regularly as it is one of the sources of my inspiration. This is why I would to thank you very much for your posts. Once I got the new hobby, I started to save money for a cutting and embossing machine.
Recently, I have decided that the time has come to order a cutting machine, but then I saw your giveaway post, and this is why I comment here ?

I hope to get the cutting machine, but even if I do not get it, I will continue to work hard during 2015: study well, show the love of Christ thru my handmade card and make this world a better place.

    With love,
    Alexandru (Sandu) MalicReplyCancel

How exciting and such a fun way to start the New Year. My goal is to re-organize my craft room and catch up on all the projects that I set aside or haven’t started, such as some mixed media, storage containers from recycled spice containers and a new shelf to set the glitter, mists, and other small things on so I can see them AND use them before they dry up or get spilled. I’ve actually started by putting everything back into proper storage and labeled such as all the dies, stamps and embossing folders. Now to take care of all the odds and ends in the box, that I never now what to do with. I’m a messy crafter and finished 5 big projects just before Christmas and left everything where it was to enjoy Christmas with my family.ReplyCancel

One big goal for me this year, is to gt all my stash sorted and get all out of here, that I never use anyway, so it can get to a place, where it´ll be taken proper care of, as it should. I know my granddaughters school are struggling twith their budget to get stuff for the kids to use, so I´ve decided to donate all I know, I´ll never get used anyway to them, as I think it´s so important, that the kids can get some creative time too, and also those, who can´t just go to grandma´s craftroom and play, so they´ll get all I know, I wount get used anymore anyway. And I know, they´ll apreciate it so very much.ReplyCancel

Moved out of my home of 41 years, late last year, into the family home after my folks passed away in 2013. What with working full time and health issues it’s been a challenge. I work a little but at a time to put my craft room in order and it’s like Christmas with each box that’s opened. My two grandsons continually ask, “Nan, where’s this and this and what about that?” We’re thrilled with the transformation but sadly it isn’t happening fast enough. Goal you say …. finish this task and hopefully in the next three months.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, I have stayed away too long, don’t know why. But now I have subscribed on bloglovin, as well as pinterest so I hope that your posts will pop up on my daily email and I will come and visit more because I always love your cards.
Oh and I subscribed on you tube, I will be watching your videos because I see wonderful things happening there!
My New Year’s resolution really started before Christmas, I have been making feeble attempts at decluttering, and decided stuff has to go at whatever silly prices I can get, or give it away then I will have room to think and use the stuff I really want to use like my Spellbinders die collection which continues to grow. I need to store the new stamps, and have a tidy craft room, oh and I need to find a good cutting machine to complement it all.

WOW! What an amazing giveaway!! Would love to win this amazing machine! It would make my die cutting so much easier!! Due to an injury on April 4, 2013 I lost the use of my thumb and two fingers on my right (dominant) hand and the crank die cutting machines are hard to use so this would be amazing! I follow you via Bloglovin’, have been a youtube subscriber for a while now and following on Instagram and Pinterest now also! What a fabulous assortment of goodies for one lucky crafter!! You are so very generous with us!
One of my goals for 2015 is to be more confident in my work and to post more of it online. I have decided that I am my own worst critic and that if I am going to take the time and materials to make something then it needs to be shared with others! I know that not everybody will like what I make but if it makes even one person happy then I am happy with that.
Thank YOU for always sharing with me because they all make me smile!!
Fingers crossed that I might be the lucky winner of these amazing prizes but if not I will be happy for the person who does win!!!
    Have a great day!ReplyCancel
