Squeal . . . don’t you just love shaker cards?  Oh, I sure do.  Good morning sweet friends, today I’m using a favorite new die set from Spellbinders – Snowflake Snippets – one of the many new holiday dies.  I mused about what I might make and tinkered with a couple of things and then it whispered ‘Shaker’ :-)  Since I loved the idea, off I was to see if I had glitter or something fun to pour inside.  So here’s the truth this was easier than the cards I normally make, just dies, acetate, foam tape and glitter.  It has been a while since I’ve made one  . . . okay . . . years, but there are lots of great tutorials out there for basic shaker card making – here’s one I did HERE for MFT Stamps a while back and I followed the same steps today.

What to do after you put your shaker card together and decided you should have stamped first?  You grab your favorite letters and glue a word down, lol!  I particularly like this alphabet Simply Said Alphabet, and the word Joy seems to be a good fit and I didn’t have to risk goofing up my card.

But, this Shaker Card is SO ELEGANT & JUST GORGEOUS with the delicate gold snow flakes, AND the the blocked areas! ;) Yep, I do believe you are RIGHT about the letters being glued on AFTER you forgot to stamp! It is the easiest! LOL ;)(I think that goes with being excited about the card you are making! I do it too!) ;)ReplyCancel
