Greetings friends!! I’m so sorry how late this is in the afternoon, but I’ve been working on something important and changing that is blessing me beyond measure and is going to bless you too.  Lots of legwork, lots of planning but I’ll try not to tease and be so cryptic – rest assured, you’ll know soon.  In the meantime – I have a card to share today for Day of Giving Friday and as always I picked a sentiment that resonates big time with the sweetness that has surrounded me this week.  To the rescue – Quietfire Design with Reminding One Another of the Dream

Today I’m sharing a Gatefold Card.  It is made by cutting two border elements from Spellbinders Water Lilies Strip at each end of an 8.5″x 11″ piece of paper, trimming any excess, scoring so that the borders meet in the middle.   I didn’t want the liner card to fall out so inside I pasted a little pocket about 1.5″ tall.  Then for the inside – I wanted an element to be pulled out separately.  I used Spellbinders Nouille Decorative Element and added a handcut matted element with the stamped sentiment.  I like that option to be able to pull the sentiment out separately :-)  The final size is 5-1/4″ x 7-1/4″ :-)

For new readers, every Friday it’s my pleasure to give away a card.   The card goes to a randomly picked reader (worldwide) who leaves a comment in our conversation. Want to know more about Day of Giving, here’s a link to my FAQ’s just check out #11. You can check the list of winners HERE!   For your comment: What is blessing you today?

oooh, that is a WOW card – that border strip is gorgeous! Never thought of using the inside sentiment as one you could take out. How clever!

Sunshine – real, unadulterated sunshine and nearly 70 in the PNW for the first time since oh, Sept? is blessing me today – warm on the skin, warm in my soul. And new goodies from My Favorite Things to play with as well. Time to head for the Mom Cave and plaaaay!

Thanks, Becca – can’t wait to hear what you have up your sleeve. May your weekend be blessed.

    Hi, Becca,
I love it when you’re excited about seeing a dream coming to fruition! I think this is what today’s sentiment is telling us. When we feel joy in another’s dream it becomes our joy and sets our spirits free. It certainly has that effect on me – I feel happy and I wasn’t feeling that way a few minutes ago. I can’t wait for the blessings that are to come. ;->)
What a gorgeous card! My immediate thought was-WEDDING!!! In any event, you know there’s something special inside and the receiver must be pretty special, too!
    Love & blessings,

Just lovely–your card has all the basics of a classic adaptation. So like you. Your style is ever present but each card is fresh and unique. Thanks for sharing and keeping in touch even when you are so busy professionally and personally. You always have time to connect with your cyber friends. You are one of my many blessings today–others were smiles from neighbors, emails from friends, and phone calls from family. So much to be thankful for. BarbaraReplyCancel

Today is truly a beautiful blessed day for me. Visiting me from Pennsylvania is my ex-sister.in.law whom I haven’t seen in 35 years. She divorced my brother but we didn’t divorce each other. We’ve remained good friends throughout the years sharing our joys and woes and family life. It’s been a marathon talking fest and holding hands like we’ve never been apart. What a beautiful card! My blessings–just celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, gave my 4 yr. old grandson his “baby quilt” I pieced. It started out as a baby quilt and it ended up being 96’x 108″! Drs. say he will be a minimum of 6’4″ by high school. Wanted it to be big enough for him to use for years. He loved his quilt. Had to spread it on the floor and lay down on it. My granddaughter (16 months old) came running to me with arms wide open calling my name! Life is good!ReplyCancel

What a beautiful card here again. I love the way that the sentiment can be pulled out, that´s a new way of thinking to me. I feel very blessed, that we´ve had a really bad storm vandalizing everything here the last 2 days, but now it´s slowing much down, and we got through it without too much damage, that is truly a blessing.
Have a wonderful week-end ahead there and I´ll look forwward to hear more about your news soon??? I´m really curious now ha ha haReplyCancel

I rarely comment on any of the blogs I follow – usually down to lack of time. But this time I couldn’t not comment LOL!
So what is blessing me today? Seeing my darling husband steadily regaining his health after many months of fighting bowel cancer. Just 2 more months of chemotherapy to endure.
We’ve always been close but this nightmare time has helped us to recognise how much we mean to each other and daily we express our love for each other – long may we continue to do so.
Oh and the card is stunning as per usual LOL!ReplyCancel

Awesome gatefold card. I like how you used the bow inside the gatefold card to help with the outside closure instead of the bow on the outside flaps. You are so clever! Now why have I not thought of that? I am blessed today to beable to visit with you and your blog and see your beautiful weekly creations. I appreciate the efforts you go to on the behalf of us here on your blog. I can hardly wait to see what you are up to here lately and teasing us about. Wishing you a terrific weekend.ReplyCancel

I am feeling blessed because my 85 year old Mother is out of the hospital for the second time this month. She spent 11 days hospitalized with pneumonia while on a trip.
