Rose Garden Promise Inspiration

I was bursting with inspiration for this 5 x 7 card front.  It is so reminiscent of stained glass, which I love and it also rivals my love for roses.  ‘God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December,’ a quote by James M Barrie.  It is precisely that quote that inspired me to think of roses at the end of the year. It has much to do with the promise of an approaching spring, buds bursting forward, and the gift of hope.  As one who loves rituals, I finished off 2019 with a die template that featured roses and decided it was worthwhile to pay them homage at the end of 2020.”

Isn’t it only fitting to go forward with hope for the future and for new and worthwhile things that will break through.  From the entire Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team, let this be a beautiful end to your year; we hope that through making, it brings with it the bonus of lovely memories.

My Projects Today using Rose Garden Promise

I so wanted to cut the roses apart and use the motifs on my card and matching box.  So I cut the die from gold mirrored cardstock and took a couple of seconds to snip each of the motifs.  The smaller motif seemed perfect for a card and I used the larger motif for the top of my box.

Designer Tip:  When snipping the box, be sure to include the outside rim of the die instead of trimming from the inlay.  You’ll have less snipping to do that way.

I have been a member of the APGDOM since it started and not one regret. Anyone who has crafted with me loves your elegant, sophisticated dies! And you never fail to inspire or surprise me with these dies. I still am playing with the telephone and typewriter – such a surprise but I love them. I think my favorites will always be the cabinet dies. I have such fun with them and wish for a valentine/anniversary one. This die is lovely and reminds me of my mother and grandmother who had a tradition of three roses – I had that in my wedding bouquet and three roses in a mini cake topper bouquet. Thanks for the memories, Becca.

My plan is to make a gift card holder with this set, lighted picture frame, & a Christmas diorama for a small nutcracker in center frame. (Maybe even a spinner card!) Wish be luck…

    Have a Merry Christmas!ReplyCancel

I wanted to comment on your post about Bailey in 2014 but I guess its too long ago now, it gave me goosebumps reading it, so thank you for sharing and how is Bailey now and where is he now? I love love love your dies, have a hard time getting them here in Australia with all this covid happening. So glad that you are creating dies for us as I have followed your work for a long time and made many things from them.
Hope 2021 is good to all of us and you
