We Never Know

Good morning sweet friends!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I’m looking forward to plowing into this week and as usual jumpstarted it by doing the Mojo Monday sketch – Mojo 196.   I don’t get too complicated with it and try to use items that are already stamped out but didn’t work for another card.   This Emily Dickinson quote from Serendipity Stamps is one of my very favorites and I have used it many, many times over the years.  Since I had already stamped it out and cut it using Spellbinders Labels Fourteen, it was ready to go and only needed a card base.

I had to flip the sketch over to make it work for me, but that’s what sketches are for, right?!  When I thought of the quote I used, I thought that butterflies would work well.  I pulled out a relatively new set, Spellbinders Nested Butterflies Two, and cut two hoping to balance out the left side of the card.  I then added some Zva Creative pearls for my butterflies flight path.   Well I’m off . . . much to do and so little time!!

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – We Never Know, Impression Obsession – Medallion Background Stamp
Paper: The Paper Company, Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox Chalk – Pink Pastel, Versafine Onxy Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Fourteen, Spellbinders Nested Butterflies Two, Zva Creative Pearls, Seam Binding

Your sweet comments yesterday lifted me and my family, thanks ever so much . . . I really am grateful to have such a wonderful blog family.  Take care :-)

Oh my! It’s so pretty and so meaningful. And you’ve chosen just the right the decorative elements. The butterflies flight perfectly symbolize the meaning of the sentiment . How I wish I had your talent! But the next best thing is having you as a mentor. Thank you so much for everything.ReplyCancel

Love the pink card today – great idea for something I could put together quickly. Also, yesterday’s card and message was so touching. I lost my father 43 years ago, but my life is embraced with wonderful memories. Talk about John and keep those memories alive for your self and the girls and you will be able to cherish them for a lifetimeReplyCancel

Simply lovely! Just enough black to make the pink pop! Love the sentiment and the butterflies go with it prefectly. I love how you pay such attention to the little details. This card would have been perfect without the tiny pearls along the bottom but it that much more special with them.

    Becca,

Your card is so pretty and I think I have everything to make it. Of course, I could do everything just perfectly and it still wouldn’t be as pretty as your cards are.

I was on vacation last week and it was so fun to look back at the cards you had completed. I’m sure someday, there will be a Scrapbook/Card Hall of Fame – and you’ll be right there in the entry area.

    Blessings,
    KayReplyCancel

Very beautiful card, Becca! I love the paper, the simplicity, and what a gorgeous border. You put so much into your cards, it must be an honor for anyone who receives one. You do such wonders with pink, I’ve begun to really love it, even did my mom’s birthday card in pink, inspired by you, haha!
