Timeless Tuesday – Happy Birthday

Here is another of the cards I presented at the recent Flourishes Stampers Dream Weekend.  Knowing that I had this challenge coming, I worked my Spellbinders into the mix and I can share it with you today!

So without further ado, it is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!!!  Thanks so much for all who played along with us last week.  This week I’m hosting the Timeless Tuesday Challenge.   I’m challenging everyone to use our Spellbinders dies!!!!  If you have any of these products I am sure they need no dusting off.   For many they have become as necessary as the trimmer and adhesive.  Whether it is a cutting edge, petite, scalloped, long, short, framed, flowered, or all of these, you are to make a card using your Spellbinders dies. No Spellbinders?  Do not fret.  You can use your favorite punches.

Using the Scorpal I scored a grid in 3/4" increments so that I would have 6 squares by 6 squares.  I stamped the little cupcakes from the Flourishes Birthday Celebrations Set  in two colors on alternating squares with pearls being on the other squares.  The birthday cake is popped up on a Spellbinders Labels Four Die and a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large Die.  Balloons are popped up on circles with some pink wire embellishing the shapes.  The card is finished off with white satin ribbon.  On the inside of the card the sentiment says "Piece o’ Cake.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes Birthday Celebrations
Paper:  Bazzill Bling, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  SU Pixie Pink, SU Close to Cocoa
Accessories:  Spellbinders Label Four, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Round punches, pearls, ribbon, wire

Be sure you check out what the other Friends of Flourishes have done for the challenge, you’ll find a Friends of Flourishes link on my left sidebar.  See you soon!!

Simply luscious! The square dry embossing really makes the background cupcakes pop. Your ribbon always satiny and well tied [mine never look that good!]. And the pearls…just the right touch. Thanks, Con.ReplyCancel
